Can't find BBM

I uninstalled BBM for a little while but when i went to install it back onto my blackberry, it's saying that it is still installed. It's not in my applications and i can't find it anywhere on my blackberry. I cant re download it from the app world either. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hello tashaahaading
Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
If you having problem in locating BBM on your device thenfirst advice is a Battery Pull Restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On , wait for atleast a min. then re-insert it back .After restart see if BBM icon is  visible on your Homescreen .
If still Unable to locate then try ReInstalling the BBM application again. But first Go to Options > Device Application Management > Delete BlackBerry Messenger from that list .Then perform a battery pull restart by removing the battery while your device is Powered On .
After device restarts from your BlackBerry Browse browse or Click here  www.blackberry.com/bbm to download the most recent version of BBM for your device. Please try it and see if that helps.

    1. On your homescreen, press the Menu key > SHOW ALL, so that SHOW ALL is checked.
    2. Look in EACH folder on your device... Applications, Instant Messengers, Downloads, etc.
If you still don't see it, look at Options > Advanced > Applications. Do you see it listed there?

  • Can't find BBM Icon after upgrade on Torch 9850

    Hello all
I did an upgrade to my Torch this morning per a message to upgrade the BBM this morning and all looked like it went well and I restarted the device and NO BBM ICON..
    Can anyone help me?
I tried unhide, etc and I can't find it.
I tried to redownload it but it says that it is on my device.
    Thanks for any help
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Very sorry, I misread, as the AppWorld missing icon has been prevelant for many, and I jumped in with that solution too quickly.
    Do this,
from your Options > Device > Application, scroll to and delete BBMessenger.
Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
The, after reboot, using your BlackBerry browser, go to www.blackberry.com/bbm and download/install again.
Again, my apologies for the initial misunderstanding.

Does anyone have the MonthCalendar.zip file they could send me, or have any other apps to suggest?
    Thanks,

  • Can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent show as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either (PIN Message Status : Service Blocked)

I recenly changed device from BB Curve 8530 to BB Bold 9900 and ever since then can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows only as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either. Tried sending PIN messages  but  I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .
When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs
Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. I tried deleting them and sent an invite only to find out that: I can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving any. (they also have the same pending for authorization notice on their end)
When I tried to send them a PIN message I get a red x next to the message nd get the service blocked message.
Help I do not know what else to do.
** FYI: new contacts added with my new PIN have no prob sending invites and me accepting them all.

    Hello Lhea,
This issue is most likely Caused by the BlackBerry not being provisioned for BlackBerry Data Services.
Please have a look at the following article that covers "Service Blocked" when sending a PIN message:

    I hope this helps.

    Hello!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books
KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should try deleting and re-adding your BIS configuration for the affected email accounts. Otherwise, you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support and to ensure that you are subscribed to an adequte data plan to enable this service.
    Good luck!

  • Can't find a recent download?

Ok so I downloaded an app (Greenfinder) and went through the whole process. They then told me the icon would appear on my main page but it did not. They said if it didn't then go go downloads and move it. Well when I went to downloads it is not there. I've looked in every folder and can't find it. I then thought I would download it again in hopes that would fix the problem. When I went to download it I got a message saying I already had the most recent download and did I want to continue and replace it so I did. Even after that I am unable to find the program. I've sent a message to their technical support but was hoping somebody would have a quick fix for me?
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Your Tour has GPS built-in to the device. Greenfinder is basically a GPS application, using your GPS signal to correctly map and show distances on the courses.
You can move it from Setup by scrolling to the icon and highlighting over it (not clicking on it) and press Menu > Move to Folder and then choose which folder you want it placed in, or on the homescreen.

  • New Message Icon - Can't find the messages! :)

Okay so I've had my BlackBerry Curve 8310 for a week now.  Just been tooling around with it to learn how it works on my own.  Today I was trying to register the BIS to log into my email account to create a filter to stop sending my Gmail Sent mail back to my phone (so annoying).  Anyway, Tried registering as a new user via PC.  I entered my PIN and IMEI and it told me that an account already existed for that PIN.  I thought that was strange, I hadn't registered before?  SO just out of curiousity I clicked on the 'forgot my password' link and had it sent to my phone.  I see an icon saying I have a new messge however I cannot FIND the message.  Thought I did something stupid or wrong so I clicked resend for the password and again I see now I have two and then three new messages (third time is supposed to be the charm right?) on the icon but can't find these messages!  I looked in SMS/MMS folder, looked in Gmail and BlackBerry mail folders but still cannot locate these messages!  Where the heck did they go??
BTW I finally registered with the BIS through my phone and was able to complete it there and then logged onto my PC and created the filter I wanted.  So I'm cool with that.  I just need to get that stupid new message icon off my phone.  Dunno if it helps but when I get new emails, the number on the message icon increases, so it must be something to do with email..?
    Please Help!

i actually tried that.. and it tells me that i have NO UNREAD MESSAGES but the icon is STILL there! help please!
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    Try this:
    Homescreen > Messages > > Search
Set as follows (may vary depending on your device OS level):
    Search Type: Local
    Name In: Any Address Field
    Subject Message: <leave blank>
    Include Encrypted Messages: Yes
    Service: All Services
    Folder: All Folders
    Show: Unopened Only
    Type: All
That should return to you all unopened messages from all message conduits.
Good luck and let us know!

  • BB Messenger is installed, but can't find it/use it

    Hi,
I've got a BB Curve (8330), from TELUS, OS is v4.3.
A friend sent me a BBM message today, and I can see the smiley face notification on my home screen, but I can't find where to read the message.  I have no BBM icon in my Applications icons (I've clicked SHOW ALL), but I do have BBM 4.3 installed (it is listed in Options-Advanced Options-Applications).
I don't have a Messaging or Instant Messaging folder.
When I open Desktop Manager and go into Application Loader, there are no applications showing.  In case it matters, my Desktop Manager version is 4.7.
I've read several posts in/around this topic, but I'm confused.  How do I access BBM if I can't find the BBM icon?  Why isn't the icon showing when the application is installed?
    Thanks,
    Ali

I looked for TSN Mobile in App World and can't find it. It is advertised on tv as a free app.

OK, let me ask you in a more direct manner... did the advertisement you saw mention the PlayBook, or did it say for BlackBerry?
As far as support, apparently you have some misconception that you have none?

  • Can't find email Set Up anywhere!!! Pls help!!

I have a Black Berry Bold, and i want to set up yahoo mail, Hotmail on it.
But i can't find the button anywhere!
I followed the instructions on You Tube's step by steps, but on the You Tube video appeared an "Email set up" icon on the "set up" selection.
But my Black Berry didn't have that icon.
Next i tried the set up wizard, but it only let me choose Enterprise Activation mail for exchange Accounts.
    What can i do?
    Please someone help me!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.
    Good luck!

  • Can't find BES desktop e-mail icon

    Hi All,
I have set up five e-mail accounts on my first BB I bought a few weeks ago. I have icons for all BIS e-mail accounts on my desktop, but I can't find an icon for my BES e-mail account (through Rackspace). I think this icon, if it's there, is called "Desktop." Initially, I just figured my work e-mail didn't have its own icon, and e-mails to that account show only in the "Messages" icon with all the other e-mails, sms, etc.
Then, yesterday, I was downloading some apps and rebooting my BB, and an icon for my BES e-mail showed up (was named "Desktop"). But, it agains disappeared when I downloaded more apps and rebooted the phone. Now, I can't bring the BES desktop icon back.
I tried sending service books, but it didn't bring back the "Desktop" icon. I browsed and clicked pretty much all clickable things on my BB, but can't find anything that would create this "Desktop" icon.
Is creating the BES e-mail icon on the desktop something that has to be done when the account is set up, which was done between my IT person and someone at Rackspace in my case? Or, is there a way for me now to create this icon?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Indeed there is...the Empower BES Inbox application. This solution costs (per user), but does not require a change at the server, and only affects the one user.
    http://www.getempower.com/Empower_BES_MailBox.php
I tried the free trial and it worked great for me. But, before I had to pay, I convinced our BES admins to push out the server-based solution as it comes at no fee, though it does affect all users on that BES server.
    Good luck!

I have installed a Facebook app on my curve 8520  and some themes (apps)  but i can't find them in the download folder or instant messaging ... in fact i cant find them anywhere to use ..
Can you help me with this?? thank you

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Check every folder, not just the two you looked at.
Make sure that you have "Show All" active in case the icons are hidden.
Check to be sure that the apps are truly installed.
If you have a custom theme running, make sure to fall back to the default as the theme could be hiding things from you.
    Good luck!
