Can't find Bootcamp at power on.

I have a MacBook Pro. I had it configured for dual boot via bootcamp with windows 7 and OSX Mavericks. There was a problem and I had to reinstall OSX. Now the Bootcamp partition still exists but is not available when I hold the option key and power up the machine. Any ideas?

I think I figured it out.
I installed 64bit Windows 7, and that's maybe why it wasn't in the menu.
I looked around in the disk (while on windows) and found 64bit stuff, but it was a bit confusing to install so I'm just reinstalling 32bit windows

  • Can't find Bootcamp 3.0 Drivers

I just bought Snow Leopard yesterday, and have been trying to clean install both Snow Leopard and Windows 7.
I have since gotten Snow Leopard set up how I like it, and have gotten Windows 7 installed.
My problem: I can't find the Bootcamp drivers for Windows 7.
I thought they would be on the Snow Leopard disk, but when I inserted it, it didn't come up with a driver installation option.
    I get these options: http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/1683/captureha.png
Where/how do I get the bootcamp drivers?

  • Where can I find metadata for Power View reports created in sharepoint 2013.

I am looking for what I would assume is the sql server tables that would hold the MDX (DAX) Queries for the power view reports.  Example my customers may create say 30 reports and I need to know quickly if an attribute I am changing is in those reports.
How can I find out what report(s) are using that attribute/measure?  Not sure that it matters but using sharepoint 2013 on premise and connecting to Analysis Services (molap).
    Ken Craig

P.S.  if this is still not making sense create a power view report in SharePoint from a SSAS cube.  Save that power view report in SharePoint.  The power view report should
have a couple of measures and 1 or 2 dimension.  Open the report just to confirm it is saved correctly.  Now go to SSAS and rename 1 of the measures or dimensions that you used, Save and rebuild your olap .  If it’s a calculated measure
you just need to save olap.    Now open your power view report and notice that that measure/dimension you changed is no longer in the report.
IN one hand it is great that reports do not error and break; however, on the other hand the users might not know what measure/dimension changed and then be lost/mad because the report no longer
works like they want.  In my opinion it would have been better if the power view broke with an error message that it cannot load because measure x does not exist than to just load fine.
In any case I need a method to know when a dimension/measure is modified what reports are using it.   Another example is this could even be a case where the dimension values are getting
modified and we need to potentially make a update to any power view/pivot using this dimension as a filter?

  • I can't find Bootcamp on Leopard?!

It's supposed to come with Leopard, right? I have the latest version 10.5.3 and I can't find it anywhere, it's like it doesn't exist. What happened?
Also, I'm terrified to actually use it, is it really that hard? I just want to play some of the new PC games that have come out recently (and eventually, Warhammer Online)

You access /BootCamp when you are in Windows, it is a hidden directory and has Apple setup.exe to install support services and drivers.
BootCamp Assistant is in Utilities folder and is used to partition your boot drive normally and to allow windows to install.
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/
    http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/bootcamp.html
When you launch the BootCamp Assistant, take advantage of saving the pdf manual and either printing it out or reading through the 20 some pages.
The 2008 MacBook Pro supports XP and Vista 32-bit and 64-bit.

  • Can't Find Bootcamp

So I have an older G5 computer that I now have Leopard, and I can't find boot camp. It's not in the utilities folder, I have just one disc that came with the OS and the file that I found to locate says it's for disc 1, and that doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

You can't use Boot Camp with a G5 anyway, only Intel machines can use it.

  • I dont have my leopard disk, where can i find bootcamp drivers for vista?

i just bought a used macbook pro. the man i bought it from didnt have his leopard disk. i installed vista 32 last night succesfuly but none of the features work because i dont have the leopard disk to download the oppropriate drivers. does anybody know where i can download the bootcamp drivers for vista 32 without having to buy the leopard disk?

i just bought a used macbook pro. the man i bought it from didnt have his leopard disk.
Hopefully, he gave you a $130 discount off the price, since you're going to have to buy a new Leopard disk. You should never have a machine without a system disk for it, since you'd be unable to recover without one if something went wrong. I don't know if you'll need it for those bootcamp drivers, but you will need it sooner or later.
(Technically, what he did is illegal... if he didn't give you the disk, he should not have given you a machine with the system installed. You're also in a bad legal position, by using a system that you do not own a copy of.)

  • I can't find an ac power adaptor for my AirPort Extreme base station.

I was given an AirPort Extreme base station, the square model, I just need an ac power adaptor. I can't seem to find one that will definitely fit. Help please?

It is easier and better to give the model number from the base.. A1143 is the oldest Airport Extreme that is N wireless.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPort_Extreme
All the models from Gen1 to Gen5 use the same power supply.. 12v 1.8A
But it can be replaced with any standard 12v supply.. of sufficient current rating.
The real thing is expensive. It still doesn't have the Apple cord.

Buy a power supply rated at 12v 3a 4a or 5a .. any of those ratings will work well.
I generally buy 4a or 5a. as they tend to be a bit better. Although if you check they all seem identical to each other..
Check in your local market if you want one fast.. just do ebay search for 12v 4a power supply..

Power cord is probably a standard IEC computer cable.
Cheaper from HK but if you want reasonable quality pay around $10US.. cheaper can be rubbish.

  • Where can I find a power charger for my G3 ibook

Just broke my 4 year old g3 iBook power charger by walking into the cord and snapping it off at the power source. Where can I find a replacement power cord charger for this 750pc G3 iBook?

There are third party choices for an adapter, also:
    MCE Technologies
    http://www.madsonline.com/index.html?
    MacAlly adapter at Amazon.com
Micro Accessories adapter at Other World Computing
Apple's is the only one with the glowing ring to indicate charging status, though, and can be found here:
    http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore?productLearnMore=M89 43LL/A
I believe the one from Other World Computing is one of the sturdiest of the lot. The MacAlly adapter's cord is a bit flimsier than the one from Other World Computing, but both are working fine on our iBooks. We haven't tried the pricier ones.

  • I have an iMac G4 PowerPC with OS 10.5.? The OS10.5.8 update failed. Now get blue screen and error-can't find Intel Power Manager. What now??

I have an iMac G4 PowerPC with OS 10.5.? After deleting 17G of music files to make room on the 74G drive, The iPhoto and iWeb updates seemed to load okay, but the OS 10.5.8 update failed - message opened said the computer encountered an error and must shut down. Now I get the blue screen. Startup with 'V' pressed shows multiple lines saying: error-can't find IntelCPU Power Manager. What now?? I  reset PRAM, I think.....?????

I am concerned that you might have applied a system updated intended for an Intel iMac, while you have a PPC (non-Intel) iMac. Your PPC OS should not be looking for an "IntelCPU Power Manager."
Have you tried booting from the 10.5 install DVD/CD and repairing the hard drive, plus repairing permissions?
If you done the repairs mentioned above, and your problem still persists, you can also try doing a safe boot. (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455 ) Then, if none of these things worked, if I were in your shoes (it's hard to diagnose these things without being there in person) I would first check that there is adequate disk space, then I would boot from the 10.5 DVD/CD install disk and reinstall the operating system. There is an option to do an archive and install preserving user files/settings, that would be the option you want, as it will save your files but install a new OS. Make sure you have a good backup of your files first. If you do not have one, use "target mode" to copy all your files before embarking on an new OS install. Assuming that you do succeed with this install, then use Software Update to get the right updates for your iMac.

  • Bootcamp Can't Find Drivers for Windows 7

I have a Macbook with OS X 10.6.8. I have a 64 bit version of windows 7 that I want to bootcamp. Bootcamp assistant says it can't find the drivers it needs for windows. Any suggestions?

Use OS X 10.6 DVD for drivers
If you had an ISO of 7 x64 that you burned that can be an issue

  • TS1367 I have a new iMac and can't get it to turn? Can't find a power button?

Have new iMac and it won't start up. Can't find a power button?

Try to perform a HARD RESET on the printer first. Unplug the power cord from the printer, and leave it out for 30 seconds. Plug it back in, see if it aligns and finishes the job.
After alignment, try to print a test page from the printer or make a copy. This job is to make sure that the HARDWARE of the printer is working correctly.
