Can't find BootCamp64.msi

I'm trying to re-install Windows 7 to fix some problems that have cropped up.  However I'm getting an error, "Windows was unable to create a required installation folder."  Some research indicates that to get around this issue, I need to uninstall Boot Camp Services.  Unfortunately, when I attempt to uninstall Boot Camp Services, I receive the following message:  "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.  Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'BootCamp64.msi' in the box below.
The path in the box, seems to indicate that BootCamp64.msi should reside in C:\ProgramData\Apple\Installer Cache\Boot Camp 3.0.3\  However this path does not exist.
Where can I get a copy of the BootCamp64.msi for Boot Camp 3.0.3?  I've looked at the Boot Camp download links, and none of them are for 3.0.3.  If I can just get a copy of the installer, I should be able to un-install Boot Camp Services.
If there is no way to get a copy of BootCamp64.msi for Boot Camp version 3.0.3, then what do I need to do to manually uninstall Boot Camp Services?  Again, this is necessary so that I can re-install windows.
Thanks,
Dave

have you tried to download the driver zip and look for it manually ?

  • I am trying to update iTunes on my IMB Thinkpad laptop...keep getting a message that itunes can't find iTunes.msi

I installed iTunes a couple of years ago....have lots of songs, purchase more all the time....and run an i phone, i pad and i pod....I use the ipod for music only.  Trying to update the iTunes, which it asks me to do when I open up iTunes on my laptop....I go to update, and it can't get all the way thru....stops and gives me that message saying it can't find iTunes.msi or something about the pathway to it...how do I fix that?

    Hello Rneufeld,
Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with iTunes.  I recommend trying to download the update directly from our site.
You can download the latest version of iTunes here:
    Download iTunes
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you are still not able to install the update, I recommend using the steps in this article and selecting iTunes in step 8:

Once you have it removed, try installing iTunes again using the link above.

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.

I am trying to download the latest version of iTunes to my PC (windows XP) and I keep getting an error message or two. One is that it can't uninstall the previous itunes version, the other is that it can't find itunes.msi. I have tried removing  the old version in add/remove programs, but it says the same error. (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

I have windows 7 64 bit but the new itunes will not install because it can't find itunes64.msi.  I have searched evertwhere on my pc. In addition, I can't uninstall the itunes and reinstall for the same reason. I can't upgrade for my icloud account.

    Try the following steps:
    1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:
    http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
    2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
    3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

  • Adobe Reader X installer can't find AdbeRdr930_en_us.msi

I am trying to install Adobe Reader X, but get an error message that it can't find AdbeRdr930_en_us.msi. What do I need to do to complete the installation of the new version?
I am using Windows XP Home SP3, updating from Adobe Reader version 9.4.3.

Update: I clicked cancel on the error message and Adobe X completed its install without further problems. But, now I have both versions (9.4.3 and 10.0.1) on my computer. I tried to uninstall AR 9 using add/remove programs and encountered the same error message.
Do I have to redownload/reinstall version 9 to then be able to remove it?

What can I do to download updated itunes. I get error message can't locate "itunes.msi." folder.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • Can't find BonjourPS.msi file

When I try to install Bonjour in Windows to set up a printer, I get a message that says can't find this file. Anybody help? Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.

After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)

Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing BonJour again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • I can not find "vcredist.msi" during Xcelcius Present 2008 Installation

I downloaded Xcelcius Present 2008 from the SAP website.  During installation of Xcelcius Present 2008 i get a pop-up box asking me to locate the filr "vcredist.msi".  I hit the browse button and found the file on my C drive at: C:\XcelsiusPresent2008\package\redist\vcredist.msi
I got an error message saying that "C:\XcelsiusPresent2008\package\redist\vcredist.msi" is not a valid installation package for the product "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable". Try to find the installation package "vcredist.msi" in a folder from which you can install.
I can not find this anywhere else on my computer.  I clicked cancel and the installation finished.
I can start Xcelcius just fine and can create an Xcelcius file (.xlf).  My problem is that it will not export to PowerPoint. I go to file/export/powerpoint and it looks like it is working.  It asks me where I want to store the file and asks me to name the file.  It then looks like it exported the file OK, but I can not find the PowerPoint file in the specified location, or for that matter anywhere on my computer.
I believe that this problem is related to not being able to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable.
I am operating Windows XP (SP3)
Any help resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys .. Well, I couldn't see the MSI in the UUID folder - could not even see the UUID folder. Is this before the install completes? (That is, while MS Installer is still holding the install set?) I note that Lagerweij is actually talking about _05 and not _06.

I'm trying to download the newest version of iTunes onto my windows computer and it keeps saying it cannot find 'iTunes.msi' program in my files. How do I fix this?

I would try removing and reinstalling all the Apple software by:

    or
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Next try posting in the iTunes forum.
