Can't find daq palette

Hey guys!
I can't find the palette für data acquisition with it's vis (e.g. analog input, output etc.) on the function table.
Using LabVIEW 7.1.
Thank you!

You need to install traditional NI DAQ device drivers for that.
If you do not have it on a CD, You can download the latest version of Traditional NI DAQ from here
You can find current versions of Multifunction DAQ device drivers from here

    I'm not finding a DAQmx version 9.1.7.  Even then according to this fancy chart, You need DAQmx 9.5.5 or newer (currently up to 9.8) to work with LabVIEW 2012.  If you don't have the driver disk that came with your copy of LabVIEW, I would recommend downloading the latest version (DAQmx 9.8).

    There was never a LabVIEW 2008.  Do you mean 8.6?

    What version of VDM did you install? What version of LabVIEW are you using? How did you install (disc or www.ni.com/downloads)?
    You might try running a Repair on NI Vision and see if that corrects for this.

  • Can VISA and DAQ driver work simultaneously?

        I can program digital I/O with VISA driver(generated
    by VISA driver development wizard ),using ibus. But in Max , it can’t
    find Daq device. I update driver ,using daq7.3, my program can’t work.
    I trace the error, the VISA function “viFindRsrc” doesn’t return the
    correct PXI device number. I want use VISA driver to operate serial
    DIO, at the same time , use Daq driver to acquire data. Is it feasible?
    Can the E series pci devices work under two drivers ( using VISA and
    Using DAQ )simultaneously?

    You can use the MHDDK and NI-DAQ on the same device, but you should only have one inf pointing to them.  If you have NI-DAQmx installed, NI-VISA will be able to find any of the NI devices in your system.  Just go to MAX  Tools Menu >> NI-VISA >> VISA Option ...  Check the box for "Show all devices accessible to VISA."  You can then remove the inf you created with the Wizard.

  • Can You Change the Highlighted Button in the Find Font Palette?

    I have several hundred spreads that I converted from Quark to InDesign CC and a few fonts are missing, so I need to replace them. I can use the "Find/Replace" window to take care of most of them using the "find format" function, but one doesn't show up as a choice, so I have to change it using the Find Font palette. I select the missing font name and then select the replacement. Then, if I hit the "enter" button on the keyboard, the palette closes because the highlighted button is the "Done" button. Is there a way to change the highlighted button to the "Change All" one?
    Thanks,
    Lloyd

    John,
    Thanks for the reply. I tried using the tab key and although it does change the highlighted button, you can't just press "enter" to select it. I also tried ALT+A (option+A) and it did nothing. I should have mentioned that I'm using a Mac.

  • Can't find character in character palette or in Font Book

    I have used the Om symbol (Sanskrit symbol used in lots of spiritual stuff - looks like "30") in a couple of documents in the past but when I open them now the Om symbol is missing and I can't find it in the Character Palette or anywhere in Font Book. The docs were created and used under previous OS. I don't actually remember if it was in Char Palette in earlier OS's but if anyone knows where I can find it for Leopard I'd really appreciate it. Many thanks.

    Thanks! But, sorry, I don't how to get to that to use it. How do I navigate U+0950?
    Here's one way. Copy/paste the OM from this webpage into TextEdit. Select the OM in TextEdit. In Character Palette go to the gear wheel at bottom left and click and select "Show Character Selected in Application."

  • LabVIEW can't find NI-DAQ driver (error 10240).

    NI-DAQ is installed, and all the tests in the configuration utility work
    fine with the PCI 1200 card. I can see a sine wave from a function
    generator, so NI-DAQ works. But no DAQ VIs run, neither the examples
    included with LabVIEW nor test programs I've written myself. Error message
    10240 is always displayed: "NI-DAQ: LV can't find NI-DAQ driver."
    I am working with an older setup, trying to recover an experiment from years
    ago. It's a Power Macintosh 7500 with a 100MHz 601 processor and a PCI 1200
    DAQ card. LabVIEW 4.0 installed. I've tried downloading several versions
    of NI-DAQ from the NI site, but I can't find any support for LabVIEW 4.0.
    Currently NI-DAQ 6.6.1 is installed, the version recommen
    ded on the site for
    Power Macs.
    Does this version of NI-DAQ not work with LabVIEW 4.0? If not, what version
    of NI-DAQ will work? Is there some way to tell LabVIEW where the NI-DAQ
    driver is?
    Upgrading LabVIEW or the hardware is a last resort. I just want to get this
    experiment running as soon as possible.
    My email address is [email protected]

    Thanks. But the version of NI-DAQ that was installed when I wrote the email
    was NI-DAQ 6.6, and still the error message appeared. I've since pulled the
    card and put it into a PC with a more recent version of Lab VIEW and it
    works.

  • Whre can I find "Traditional NI-DAQ C Reference Help" ?

    In NI-447X User Manual I have found in "Related documentation" paragraph the suggestion to read "Traditional NI-DAQ C Reference Help" for traditional NI-DAQ version7.0 and later. Where can I find this manual?

    To view the NI-DAQ reference help, go to Start » Programs » National Instruments » NI-DAQ and select the appropriate file for the version of NI-DAQ that you are using.
    For NI-DAQ 7.0, there are separate reference help files for NI-DAQmx and Traditional NI-DAQ, the NI-DAQmx C
    Reference Help and the Traditional NI-DAQ Function Reference Help.

  • How can I make DAQ VIs visible when using NI-DAQ 4.9 with LabVIEW 6.0?

    My operational system is Windows 98, I am using a AT-DSP2200 card and is configured. I have installed a NI-DAQ 4.9 (the last for this card) and I use Labview 6.0, but I can not find the DAQ VIs on the functions palette. How can I solve this?

    Hello;
    That version of the driver is too old to work with Labview 6i. The oldest version of NI-DAQ that one can combine with Labview 6i is version 6.1.
    You will need either to use another version of Labview, or to investigate a replacement hardware that you can use with newer versions of NI-DAQ.

  • Can not find Flush Return Data Buffer.vi

    When I try to start my Labview program I get a "Error -70025 occurred at Read Home Input Status.vi" because the Return Data Buffer is not empty.
    I searched for the Flush Return Data Buffer.vi in the Labview library but it is not there.
    Where can I find it?

    Hello Mishka,
    The Flush Return Data Buffer.vi should be located in your functions palette at Vision and Motion>>73xx>>Advanced>>Flush RDB.vi. Alternatively, you can press ctrl+space on your keyboard to open the quick drop menu and then search for Flush RDB.vi.

  • The InitCVIRTE function is not listed in the NIDAQ function reference online help? Why? and where can I find a description of this function?

    the InitCVIRTE function is not listed in the NIDAQ function reference online help? Why? and what does she do?and where can I find a description of this function? Can i use this function with visualc++ 6.0?

    The InitCVIRTE function is in the CVI run time engine (cvirte.dll)..not part of NI-DAQ.
    Applications written or using CVI may call this function..
    How are you running into this ?
    From the CVI help...
    This function performs initialization of the CVI Run-Time Engine. It is needed only in executables or DLLs that are linked using an external compiler. Otherwise, it is harmless.
    It should be called in your main, WinMain, or DllMain, function. The parameter values you should pass depend on which of these three functions you are calling InitCVIRTE from. The following examples show how to use InitCVIRTE in each case.
    If you are using main, your code should be as follows.
    int main (int argc, char *argv[])
    if (InitCVIRTE (0, argv, 0) == 0)
    return -1; /* out of memory */
    /* your other code */
    return 0;
    If you are using WinMain, your code should be as follows.
    int __stdcall WinMain (HINSTANCE hInstance,
    HINSTANCE hPrevInstance,
    LPSTR lpszCmdLine,
    int nCmdShow)
    if (InitCVIRTE (hInstance, 0, 0) == 0)
    return -1; /* out of memory */
    /* your other code */
    return 0;
    If you are creating a DLL, you must call InitCVIRTE and CloseCVIRTE in your DllMain function, as in the following.
    int __stdcall DllMain (void *hinstDLL, int fdwReason,
    void *lpvReserved)
    if (fdwReason == DLL_PROCESS_ATTACH)
    if (InitCVIRTE (hinstDLL, 0, 0) == 0)
    return 0; /* out of memory */
    /* your other ATTACH code */
    else if (fdwReason == DLL_PROCESS_DETACH)
    /* your other DETACH code */
    CloseCVIRTE ();
    return 1;
    NOTE: The prototype for InitCVIRTE is in cvirte.h, not
    utility.h.
    NOTE: In CVI 4.0.1, this function was expanded from one to
    three parameters. Executables and DLLs that were
    created using the one-parameter version of the function
    will continue to work properly.
    /*-------------------- Prototype ---------------------*/
    int InitCVIRTE (void *HInstance, char *Argv[], void *Reserved);

  • Can I find the current tab in Terminal using applescript?

    Running a script from the shell by prepending
    #! /usr/bin/osascript
    as part of my .profile, can I find the "current" tab using Applescript. Most of the time, the "current" tab will not be visible, as the shell is being initialised, or re-initialised.
    I want to set the dircolors for my shell by determining the background color of the tab in which the shell is executing.

    Under the Window menu you can activate any of the palettes that you want. In your case the Field tab is under the Object palette

  • AI.llb - Where can I find it??

    Does anyone know what an AI.llb library is used for, and where can I find it? I am trying to use some examples from the NI website which require this particular library, and I don't have it installed as part of my LabVIEW 8 PDS.

    Hello,
    I should take a programm made about 2 years ago by another person and I am looking for the same library, ai.llb used in the programm, but I cannot find it.
    My labview version is 8.5 and I have NI-DAQmx 8.7.1. I don't have in the vi.lib the folder Daq. Is it due to the fact I am not using the traditional DAQ? Where can I found the library?
    thanks for your answer!

    Hi
    We have bought the DAQcard-6024E card with it's drivers. (for PCMCIA)
    I need a list of the instructions for setting up and reading the card using C++.
    Where can I find such a list or document?

    Hi eben,
    I would recommend taking a look at the DAQ Getting Started Guide. This should have all the information you need. The location of the examples are listed on page 11.
