Can't find files from purchased music and not allowed to redownload

I can't not find the files to a album i donwloaded and they will not allow me to redownload them from my purchased files

We're having the exact same problem. Spotlight run on the server will find files, when run from a Leopard client will find files, but when run from a Tiger client results are empty every time.
I think I read somewhere that Leopard indexes are not backwards compatible, I'm going to turn off Spotlight on the server and delete the indexes - we'll see what happens.

  • Can't download file from any browser and download manager

i confused wit my MBP, becaus MBP can't download file from internet ( via USB modem & Wi-fi)..
can you help me to fix it ??
i use iGetter, and it not responding to download, safari too..

I was able to download the trial from rarlab.com. What happens when you click on a download? You need to make sure you select to download the Mac version. The .exe files do not run on a Mac.
BTW, you might want to check out GUI Tar  https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/14503/gui-tar
The other two sites also work for me. What exactly happens when you click on a link to download? Do you know how to find your downloads?

  • Can I transfer files from a Mac and PC that are both on my wireless LAN?

I've a number of Macs connected to my Wirelesss LAN and also have a PC (Windows XP) that I want to connect to the network. That isn't going to be a problem but I want to know if I can then move files from the "Mac environment" onto the PC.
If it's possible, how is it done?
    Regards,
    Cliff

Yes. Just enable the file/folder sharing for each computer. They'll treat it as a network share. I did need to set the options for the Mac folders to use SMB for the PC to see it.

  • Can't find file to sync photos - why not?!?

I recently re-organised my photos on my PC & changed the file location for the photos to sync to my iPod. I reconnected the iPod & it went through to organise the photos in a new photo cache as I would expect...but then when it went to actually move the pictures onto the iPod, I get told 'can't find file' and so it does not sync
I can see the pics in the cache, the location of the photos on iTunes is right, but they don't seem to talk to each other & so nothing happens
anyone seen this before or have any suggestions??
    thanks
    Ian

    ok one more question
The file syncing issue now seems to be resolved & the ipod connects to the PC without too much argument now
the only outstanding issue is that I have seom videos within my pictures. Previously these existed within the Pictures folder, but I could still play them
However now this doesn't happen & in the Pictures folder I just get the first frame of the video, without being able to play them. I don't know why suddenly it won't play them
They are all in mp4 format. as most are home videos I wanted to keep them in the Pictures folder rather than move them into the official Videos section
    thanks

  • Got a new hard drive, is there any way to get my purchased music and not purchased music on my macbook?

My macbook pro's hard drive had to be completely replaced and none of my data could be recovered. Is there any way that is 100% sure to not erase all the music off my ipod touch and get all of it (purchased and not purchased) back onto my computer without any software?

    Hi, Shelby.
The iPod doesn't actually support that. But good news: With the latest version of iTunes, you can re-download all your purchased music for free. Just open the iTunes store and click on Purchased on the right hand side.
As for the rest, a quick Google search shows there is no Apple supported solution.

  • I had to reinstall my OSX and now can't find all of my music and files

My system was not verifying all of the files that I required to run optimally so the system told me to reinstall my disk 1 of my OSX.  I did that and then had to f/u with the Snow Leopard CD.
Now I can't seem to find any of my music/files and it's like it's back to factory setting because none of our family profiles are on there or our email set up anymore.
    Can anyone help me?

Hi Eric,  I actually ended up taking it in to the apple store and the tech helped me.  I do have an external back up but he had to 'trick' it somehow.  (Something I would not have had a clue how to do)
    It's all good !

  • I can't find my recently purchased music files.

  • Can I delete files from my computer and still keep them on my iPod touch?

I have researched this topic here as well as on Google and I am not really getting the answers I need. I am by no means an iTunes/iPod pro; my 3 year old recently showed me how to shut off my iPod (I hadn't realized before that it had anything other than a "sleep mode", if you will).
I have read you need to set iTunes from autosync to manual, but this isn't working for me... iTunes still wants to delete/replace everything currently stored on my iPod, or will say it can't find the files on my iPod if I've already deleted them from my PC.
I have Windows XP. I recently upgraded my iTunes software to 9.2.1.5, and I have an iPod touch 64GB.
I really need to delete a lot of MP3s and videos (not purchased from iTunes) to clear up space on my home PC, but I'm afraid to do it because every time I end up having to replace the deleted files anyway whenever I sync the thing.
I click on "manual" on the Summary page, I then click on "sync music" and "Sync Movies". On each of those pages I get a pop up, and if I don't click on music or movies previously added to my iPod, they get deleted. The "manual" option doesn't save itself as the default option either, I always have to recheck it every time I sync my iPod. Otherwise, it always goes back to the autosync mode.
I would just like to add new files to my iPod, leave the stuff already stored on it, and delete the files off my computer. I don't know if I'm still doing it wrong, or if there's an iTunes glitch or what. Can someone please explain how to do this?

Sounds like you have a few problems going on here. First one being, the itunes/ipod preference isn't getting saved for manually managing.
Second one being, if you are intending to manually manage content on your ipod, hitting sync does just that - it puts the ipod "in sync" with the PC. If a file isn't on the PC, it gets erased from the ipod.
My advice is to get an external hard drive, leave the ripped files from your CDs there so itunes always has access to them, and free up space on your PC's hard drive that way. An added benefit of having an exHD is, you can have backups copies of your purchased tracks, since you only get one download of them. If your PC dies, they will be on the exHD, or vice versa.

  • Where can I find my old purchased music that disappeared?

When trying to upload music from my flashdrive from an old computer to my new computer, i followed the steps online to upload music from the external drive. I had purchased music on my new computer from iTunes, and its gone now. What can I do to get it back? I have already tried following the steps online.

What steps did you use... The new iTunes does have a section that allows you to re-download past purchases. I actually used it the other day - yesterday in fact. It did work....

  • This question is for Firefox3.o. One of my friend has installed UI map. So can i take files from my friend and install UI map?? Please reply

As Ui Map add on is not available in mozilla website, can i install it from a person who has installed it?

    Yes.
    1) Have the friend type '''about:support''' in Location bar and hit Enter. He would get the extensionID in the extensions table there.
    2) Then he should locate his [[profiles|profile folder]]/extensions/extensionID/ folder and compress its contents to a .zip file and send it to you.
    3) You rename it to '''uimap.xpi''' and drag onto the tools>addons window.
The addons.mozilla.org website had a change in reviewing policy take effect this week. All addons not reviewed by the website Editors team have been disabled and are no longer public. Probably the developer of the addon in question didn't check his email in time, and unfortunately some users like you have problems. If you let the developer know of the problem, he can get the addon public again.
Please let us know whether the steps suggested to retrive the addon from your friend work.

  • Can't burn CD from "Purchased" music

I bought some CD's from the iTunes Store and they are in my "purchased" list in iTunes. On that screen there is a button on the bottom right of the screen that say's "burn disc". When I hit that it say's "checking media" then after about 45 seconds it just stops. Is iTunes not recognizing my Nero burning software? How do I activate the burner in iTunes? More improtantly how do I burn CD'S I bought on at the iTunes Store onto a disc to listen in my stereo? Thanks.
    Bryan

FIrst goto Edit>Preferences>Advanced tab>Burn sub tab and make sure its set to "Audio CDs" and hit OK.
Also goto Help>Run DIagnosting>CD Diagnostic and copy/paste the resulting report here so we can better help you
Note: Purchased songs can only be burned in a playlist 7 times, after that you have to put them in a new playlist or rearrange the playlist there in, apple does this to stop people from buying an album and burning it multiple times and selling them for there own profit.
For example if you have a playlist with song 1 being a purchased song and song 2 and 3 non purchased songs, you can burn that playlist 7 times, after 7 times you would have to make a new playlist with those songs in it or make the purchased song number 2 or 3

  • Why can I only see my purchased songs and not my entire library when I use an ipad?

Why can I only access my 'purchased' songs when I sign into an ipad with my AppleID.  How can I access my entire itunes library (purchased, playlists and downloaded music)?

If it's iTunes purchased music then you might be able to re-download it on your iPad via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app - it will download into the Music app. If you want your other music from your computer's iTunes (e,g. music copied from CDs and playlists) then you will need to sync it from your computer's iTunes to your iPad's Music app.

  • How can I find out the overall time and not only the time of a single clip?

I have set up two cameras in one room. Both cameras record the same thing from different perspectives at the same time. I have found an interesting scene for video 1 (recorded by camera 1). Now I would like to find the time at which the interesting scene takes place in video 2.
However, I have not seen any way to get displayed, at what time the scene starts in relation to the total length of the video (e.g: scene starts after 5 minutes from total 10 minutes).
The indicated time refers only to a part of the clip and not to the overall project, even if a special clip is not selected. Does anyone know, how I can find out the time?

Go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup.  It will be shown just below the Back Up Now button at the bottom.

  • Ive got an mac book pro i bought the lead to connect to tv but is there a lead where you can have the sound from the tv and not through the laptop?

ive got a mac book pro i bought the lead to connect to the tv but is there a lead for the sound to come out of the tv and not the laptop?

Depends which Macbook Pro, depends what cable you have. MBPs from 2010 onwards can transmit audio through their Displayport connectors if you have an HDMI input on your TV and an adaptor which also transmits audio. Not all Displayport-HDMI adaptors do this. If you're trying a VGA input on your TV, that will not carry audio.
If your MBP is older than 2010, you will need to use a separate audio cable to connect from your computer's 3.5" mini audio connector to the appropriate audio input on your TV.
