Can't find library in CS5--want to edit a few buttons
Does anyone know where the library folder or directory is kept for CS5 in Encore? I want to edit a button and a theme. Someone said it was in the same place as it was in CS4--not much help since I did not own CS4.

I don't have CS5 yet... but what does it show for file location when you go to the options screen? (may be under a heading like preferences or tools or just options)

I have a Mac OS 10.6.8. I want to change the apps that launch at start-up and can't find Library folder or StartUpItems folder. Tried the "Go To Folder" and "Find" functions. Please help.
Try double clicking your HD icon, then click on your HD Volume (under devices in the left side bar), then click on Library you should be able to find StartUpItems there.

why??? Are you by any chance using the example makefile supplied with Oracle? This has a line in it that calls a makefile called env_precomp.mk.
Get rid of this line---it is used (I think) for the initial setup of ProC/C++ and is superflous for building user programs.
If you want I can supply you with a template makefile for 8.0.5 that will do the complete build for you, including handling ProC++ files, additional C/C++ source files and header files. e-mail me off list if you want this and I'll send it to you.

I downloaded (purchased) an audio book on my iPad 2. I can not find it. I wanted it to go to either iTunes or i book. No where to be found. However I did get verification they got my payment.
It should be in the iPad's Music app (iTunes on an iPad it just the store for buying/downloading content, and iBooks is for ibooks, PDFs, epubs i.e. books for reading) ? When you have audiobooks on an iPad you will get an Audiobooks option under the More button at the bottom of the Music app.
Note that audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store (so they won't appear in the Purchased tab for re-downloading), so you may want to copy it to your computer's iTunes via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases so that you can take a backup copy of it - it should copy over to the Books part of your iTunes library. -

why my spotlight can not find my personal files ? It can find them before but can not find them now,I want to know why?
From the menu bar, select

The list of items excluded from Spotlight indexing is shown (it may be empty.) Click the plus (“+”) icon to add an item to the list. Select your boot volume (under DEVICES) and add it to the list. Then remove it from the list by selecting it and clicking the minus (“-“) icon.
Spotlight will rebuild the index. If you try to do a Spotlight search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, a pulsing dot will appear in the icon. When the dot disappears, the indexing is complete. -
I am a new uses of iTunes and want to download music. The instructions say:

My problem is that I can't find a download button to click. Where does it appear please?Thank you a million times over. I've literally spent hours trying to solve this and I think those responsible for compiling the 'Help' notes for iTunes would be well advised to make this point clear in the downloading instructions.

I can't find a way to view and edit the text which appears on the spine of the dustcover or the photo book itself. When I preview the book it appears on the dustcover and the book, but not when I'm back in the creation or editing windows. I've printed 4 books in a series and two spines are one font size, and two others are a different font size. One of the books has a shortened title on the book spine.
The text on the spine will be the same text that is in the Title text box on the title page. You can change the font and style of that text just like you change any text in Aperture. Aperture will size and center the spine text for you
If you want the content or the font and style of the text to be different from your Title box text then you have to trick the program a bit. Put the text that you want in the spine into the Title text box and then move that box to a place on the page where it will not be visible when printed ( Y coordinate -1.0 inches for example). Don't move it too far away or it will be hard to get back to in order to make an edit. Then make a new text box on the title page and put the text you want on the cover in that. (Or make a book without text on the cover , but with text on the spine).

A new untitled library was created and now, I can't find my old library. I don't remember where it was located, or the name of my old library.

I can't find my adobe cs5.5 serial number?
I want to set up Adobe CC on my home PC but don't have any of the serial numbers registered with Adobe. Where can I find it on one of the systems running CS5.5?
What has CC to do with any of your previous serial numbers? That aside, if you never have registered them, then they are simply not there except for whatever paperwork or software boxes you may have. Adobe doesn't know what you don't know/ never told them. Feel free to contact serial & activation support directly by web chat or phone.

Can't find library (xml, itl) files
Hi,
I can't find the library database files (*.xml, *.itl) that are supposed to be in the ..My Music/itunes folder. I use Explorer to look at the itunes folder (which does exist in the My Music folder -- all my music files are in the My Music folder), but it shows no files. Also reports that the itunes folder is empty. I have used the View option tab to tell Explorer to show hidden and system files.
What seems strange is that iTunes works just fine. I can see and play all my music, it has all my playlists, etc. My understanding is that info is all in the databases, but I can't find them!
Another odd thing, when I click on the ../My Music/iTunes folder in explorer it takes several minutes with the hourglass icon before it actually opens.
Searching the discussion forums, I see that I could export the .xml file and then use it to recreate the .itl file. I think that some info is lost when you do this -- such as play counts and date added. In anycase, I'm reluctant to do this since everything seems to be working just fine. I would however like to know where the database files are!
Any thoughts?
Dell Windows XP ProWell, I bit the bullet and exported my library from itunes into a different location, moved the existing iTunes folder out of My Music, restarted iTunes, imported the saved xml library, and it looks like everything is fine. My library and playlists show up fine in iTunes, and the two library database files now appear in the iTunes folder in My Music. Can't really say what happened, but looks like this fixed it.

Can't find a loop i want to delete
I created a loop that i now want to delete. The loop shows up in GB but i can't find it in the loops folder or anywhere on the HD in order to trash it. Shouldn't all created loops appear in the GB loops folder?
it's not stored there, it's in a similar location within your home directory (note: deleting it that way is not a good idea)
