Can't find links to VBA Scripting on Adiobe site.

This is not the most appropriate place to post this but I expect it is the place I am most likely to find someone who knows. I have just bought InDesign 5.5 and am starting the steep climb up the learning curve. I want to do script stuff in VBA and I bought the “InDesign Bible” which mentions that the product disk for InDesign includes a PDF file containing 2,000 pages on VBScript and VBA. I had to buy mine direct from Adobe as a download so no PDF files. I looked around their site and found a couple of VBA tutorial files but they were only small introductions. There was a development scripting area for InDesign but all the links were scrambled and it was a no no.
I have tried to contact Adobe but, unsurprisingly, it is a bit of a effort so I gave up.
My question is, does anybody know if any other sites have this stuff for downloads or, if not, does anybody know if and when Adobe are going to sort themselves out in this respect.

Still my search is going on. I dont know why oracle people made this that dificult, If I am not wrong I think earlier i could easily locate the previous version artifacts(softwares) easily. but now why they made that complicated.. no clues.

Can't find LINKS under inspector

I am trying to LINK an email address but can't find LINK under inspector.
From the toolbar menu with in IWEB, I can see HYPERLINK, but nothing after that....HELP? YES, am new to MAC's.

Hyperlink is the one you want - open the Inspector in iWeb and it is the second from the right hand side with the blue hyperlink symbol.

Can't find link to download E3000 firmware

I'm sorry to bother you guys with what should be something so easy for me to do on my own, but for the life of me I can't find it in the Linksys Support site. I installed DD-WRT firmware on my E3000, but I want to go back to the original Linksys firmware.

Based from what I heard, the warranty of your Linksys device will be void when you load the router with a 3rd party firmware. The latest firmware version of the E3000 router is v. 1.0.04 (build 6). Sabretooth did provided the correct link where you can download the latest firmware version for your E3000.
Please try to make sure that you reset the router after the latest firmware had been to your Linksys router, and then reconfigure it to work with your modem. If ever the router does not work after loading the official Linksys firmware, then you need to purchase a new one.

Do you see an In App purchase in the App? From what I see that's how you subscribe. Look for a settings icon, maybe a gear icon - something like that - and tap on it and see if the in-app purchase appears.

Presentation can't find linked audio - program crashes on "Replace"

A lengthy presentation was created in Keynote 2 with dozens of linked audio files. The computer was updated from 10.3.9 to 10.4.7 and Keynote 3 was installed and updated. Now, when the presentation is opened, it reports that it can't find each of the audio links; when the Replace button is clicked, Keynote crashes. This is a consistent crash. When the Cancel button is clicked instead, the presentation continues to load until the next audio file link is encountered. The audio files are stored in the iTunes Music Library and always worked prior to the upgrades.
The same presentation was then opened in Keynote 2 (updated), with the same result.
How can this be fixed? Do each of the links have to be recreated? Help!

Further to the original post:
The presentation was created on another computer and copied to the PowerBook along with the entire iTunes library which contains the linked audio files. As stated before, the presentation worked prior to the OS and Keynote upgrades.
I networked the two computers together, and the presentation opened without problems, which leads me to conclude that the links are hard links. However, other presentations using the same files open without difficulty when the computers are not connected together.
Further, the presentation and iTunes library (along with everything else) were migrated to a new 17" MacBook Pro and failed identically, while the other presentations using the same linked files worked fine, just as on the PowerBook.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, as it will take a LONG time to rebuild the audio links in the problematic presentation from scratch, and there's no guarantee that revisions to the presentation will work if it's moved to one of the other computers.

Preview can not find linked pages

When previewing my index page I click on the links created
using flash buttons and they can not find the pages on my hard
drive. The flash buttons are incorporated into my basic template as
a library item. When The error occurs the page address that is
being looked for is shown as follows:

If I click on the same link while previewing other pages ,
the page is found and the address is as follows:

the page is displayed.
all the regular html links work when previewing on all pages
and there are no broken links found when I check links site wide.
and the links both flash and html all work when published. This
only started when I added the flash buttons as links.
Is it possible I changed the way the preview works?

Go into dreamweaver Preferences->Preview in Browser
put a checkmark in "use temp files for preview"

Where can i find the OC4J.SH script file

hi everyone... anybody can tell me where can i find the oc4j.sh file.. ??? this script allows to run an instance of oc4j on linux... also this allows to start oc4j as a service.. please help.-... if you have the source of this script please put it here...

You should be able to find it in $ORACLE_HOME/bin, where $ORACLE_HOME is the place you install your oc4j. It seems this "oc4j.sh", "oc4j.cmd", or just "oc4j" comes to into being since oc4j 10.1.3. So you can just download oc4j 10.1.3 standalone, unzip the file, and find it in the bin directory.
As far as I checked, this oc4j.sh is a very thin wrapper around oc4j.jar or admin.jar. There is nothing fancy about it. You can just as well start your oc4j by
java -jar oc4j.jar
To start oc4j as a service, or a background process as it is usually called on linux,
java -jar oc4j.jar &

Can't find downloaded audio from our iTunes U Site

We are testing a password-protected site.
We want students to be able to directly download content to their iPod Touches, without going through a computer. Once downloaded, we can see video files, but not audio ones. This is on iPod Touch 3G, freshly restored with iOS4. Can someone else test this for me?

Guitar Recitals has only one group. I downloaded 1-Italiana and 2-Etude in Bm. Once downloaded, I can't find them anywhere on the iPod. However, if you do a search, they come up and can be played!
Videos are not a problem, they show up under Videos.
Anyone have any idea where the audio files would be listed?
Are we doing anything wrong with adding metadata? Right now there is only an image.
The audio files show up correctly in iTunes on a computer, under iTunes U as part of a podcast, the problem seems to be the iPod. This is also an iPod support question, but I thought I'd start here.

Just some additional details:
1. Audio files directly downloaded on the iPod Touch from open sites in the app iTunes>iTunes U show up in the app Music>iTunes U, and are grouped into their respective podcasts. Audio files downloaded from our password-protected site are nowhere to be found (unless I'm blind), and when they are through search, are not grouped with files in the same podcast, in the little upper file list window (like open download files are).
2. Video files directly downloaded on the iPod Touch show up in Videos, and are grouped as episodes in their respective podcasts, but video files downloaded from our password-protected site are displayed as belonging to individual episodes, though they are part of one podcast.
Wondering if adding any metadata to the files before uploading would fix this, or if this is a bug.

My main problem is that in my bios my USB-HDD have minus like it is disabled and I can't boot from any USB device.

How can i find keywords in my script/document?

i need to be able to jump to certain parts of my script quickly and I am having trouble doing that now.

There are couple of ways you can acheive this depending on what exactly you are looking for.
If you are looking to jump from one scene heading to the next one, you can either use the Oultine view (To invoke the Outline view, Navigate to the View Menu and choose> Outline View) to quickly move from one scene to another.
You can also navigate from one element type to other of the same kind by keeping the cursor on that element type and hitting CTRL+J.
For eg. if you want to jump from one Parenthetical to the next one, keep the cursor on the Parenthetical element and hit CTRL+J on the Keyboard.
If you are searching for a specific word, use the Find/Replace option (To invoke the Find/Replace, Navigate to the Edit Menu and choose> Find/Replace - or hit CTRL+F on your keyboard)
This would invoke the search bar on the bottom of the screen, where you can type the word that you are looking for and navigate to those words in the script using the Up/Down arrow next to the search field)

Movie can't find linked movie - path issue

OK, I've spent a few very frustrating hours trying to figure out a solution that's probably staring me in the face. I have one movie (Intro.swf) that loads a second movie (ncjhs_Menus.swf) with drop down menus. Intro has a movie clip with the following script in it:

var url:URLRequest = new URLRequest("ncjhs_Menus.swf"); myLoader.load(url);
Both the Intro .swf and the ncjhs_menus.swf files are saved in a subdirectory called Flash off the root. The html file generated by flash is saved in the root.
When done that way the Intro file runs but does not manage to get the menus file to load. If however I save the html file into the same Flash diretcory as the two .swf files then everything works fine and Intro can call the menu .swf file.
I'm confused as to why it only works if I tell Flash to save and run the html file in the same directory as the two flash files. Can anyone see why it would make a difference? I need to link to the menus from a a number of locations and clearly can't put all the files into the same directory.

So if I understand you correctly, when referencing the menu swf file from the Intro.swf file I should use "flash/ncjhs_menus.swf" ?
I tried that and it didn't work. Did I misunderstand?

Can't find linked libraries

i am trying to link SDL, SDL_ttf and OpenGL in my MinGW C++ Linker settings but whenever i try to build and run the project it outputs saying that it cannot find the files specified:
cannot find -lgl
cannot find -lglu
cannot find -lSDL
cannot find -lSDL_main
my libraries in the settings are set up as such
gl
glu
mingw32
SDL
SDL_main
and the search paths are set up as
"C:\MinGW"
"C:\MinGW\include\GL"
"C:\MinGW\include\SDL"
"C:\MinGW\include\SDL_ttf"
as all the files are in my include folder in MinGW.
for some reason it can find the MinGW library but not the others. how would i be able to set it up so that the other libraries can be found. or since the files are header files that i cant do so? if thats the case how can i rectify it or do i need to put the .dll files of it in the include folder?
do i need to reference the folder or the header files?

gthread probably needs glib. Glib-2 is glib2. Xrender is libxrender. Xext is libxext. Gobject2 is probably gobject-introspection. If you have X11 installed the X11 library is probably already there.
