Can't find my ipad on "Find A Phone"

What do I need to do to correct this?

I have, on occasion, experienced the same condition. It didn't really concern me too much but, out of curiosity, I went to the link you posted. Unfortunately, your link covers every possible condition EXCEPT that which the OP described.

please help meYou have to have iCloud enabled and Find My iPhone set to On on your iPhone in order to find it. If you're saying you turned this off before losing it I'm afraid you're out of luck.

I can't find a phone. Please help.
Seem to be spinning my wheels here.
I re-upped my cell phone plan on Saturday and bought an LG Xenon. The hoops I have to jump through to sync with my data on my Mac are too much. I need to exchange it, but I've spent hours on the web and the phone between my carrier, apple, manufacturers, plug-in coders and everyone's sister and can't find the phone that suits my needs. Anyone who's been here that can help would be greatly appreciated. Here are my parameters:
Carrier: AT&T
Must be able to easily sync with Apple's iSync.
I can't afford the extra $30/mo for the Data Service (don't need to have internet on my cell) which leaves out the iPhone and many others.
BUT I did up my plan to cover texting, so having a phone with a QWERTY keypad is desired, but not 100% necessary.
<$50 with new contract which I already did.

The list that Apple provides is 100% up-to-date as of the current version of iSync. Apple haven't added any new phones to iSync since October 2007.
As explained in the other thread, Apple's list only contains the phones supported by iSync natively "out-of-the-box". It does not include the hundreds of additional models supported by manufacturer and third-party iSync Plugins.
Unfortunately, there is no "master list" of native, manufacturer and third-party supported phones. Apple does provide links to a number of third-party iSync Plugin providers web-sites here, but that is by no means all providers.
Manufacturers stray from standards all too often, seemingly for proprietary sake.
Nokia and Sony Ericsson include SyncML in almost all their phones (except for the most basic ones). Samsung have started including SyncML in a lot of their phones now. LG included SyncML in 3 of their recent models.
AT&T should offer a better variety and be more consistent and current across their distribution channels.
That's definately true. From what I've seen, most US network operators offer a very limited range of phones, and in some cases even cripple the standard features (Bluetooth, syncing etc.). Here in the UK (and the rest of Europe) there are literally dozens of iSync compatible phones on sale in every mobile phone store, for every network - so you've always got a choice. It's a shame the same isn't true in the US.
P.S. I'm in hopes that some of the plug-in coders will be making one for this phone soon. please reply here if you see anything.
If the phone has SyncML then its quite possible a plugin will appear at some point, but often with less mainstream models, it's an end user who takes that task on and perhaps posts the plugin to their own web-site. But it could be weeks, months or never before a plugin appears. -
I bought Adobe Elements in a box. I have looked for the redemption code and taken what appears to be a code from the back of the box, and another from the envelope. They don't work. Thank you. I see what you mean, and I'll use your method when I need apps.
For syncing my phone, however, I am automatically sent to the iTunes page, and to the sync/device screen I want. After I sync, though, it's gone and I can't view my other details. The only reliable way back there is to unplug the phone and plug it in again. Fair enough, I guess. But, weirdly, the little phone icon does sometimes show up (by the menu upper left) and will let me back in, but there's no rhyme or reason to when or why. It's funny - kinda like some random game of Whack-a-Mole.

We do hope you find your phone, regdefigh. Do you recall downloading any applications with tracking permissions? You can log into www.google.com/play to see what was downloaded to your phone and see if there's a tracking application with a website to view your phone's location. The GPS on the phone is usually for searches initiated from the phone unless special permission has been given to an application for access remotely.

In your situation as you describe it, all you can do is physically look for it. There is no other way to locate it. Sorry.

Yes, it can be deleted, but if you are concerned that deleting the app will prevent your phone from being trackable, don't be.
The "Find my iPhone" app does not need to be installed for the Find my iPhone service to work. It is only for locating another iOS device from yours.
For your phone to be trackable, the MobileMe/iCloud account needs to be setup on it, Find my iPhone needs to be enabled, Location Services needs to be turned on, and the phone needs an internet connection. -

You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely. -

How can I pair an iPad with an android phone via Bluetooth? I get the pair message on both, but after acknowledging on both devices the connection fails to establish. I looked around and everything I found had to do with file transfer. I can share access to the internet via Bluetooth and it works with other devices I've tried this with. Thanks.
Sorry. After re-reading my question I realized that I wasn't clear. I don't want to transfer files. I want to use PDANet from my android and connect my iPad for internet access via bluetooth. I know this is a 2 way transfer of data not very different from transferring files, but I just want to be sure that this is not going to work so I can stop trying as if I'm doing something wrong. Like I said, I can do this with any other bluetooth capable device/computer I have. Seems like it's just not working either by design or as a result of some limitation. I guess 2 way communication with a headset gave me hope that internet access would work. Thanks!

I don't have the 3G ... but is there a phone number? Can you make phone calls with it ... I was told there is not phone service from the iPad when I get my iPad1?

or
Toolbox -> General -> ????
That's where it is on my iPhone ... so maybe some variation of that on the iPad. Most likely somewhere under Network, the third box down in General?
