Can't find my media shared imovie in idvd

I have 3 short movies (3-5 minutes each) that I shared to my media browser in iMovie.  But I can't find them when I go to iDVD.  They're not listed at all.  My other projects are all there but not the 3 that I need.  Where are they?  Any suggestions on how I can get these to iDVD so that I can burn a dvd of all of them?  Thanks for any help you can give me.

  • Where can i find the Media browser folder

Hi guys hey where can I find the media browser folder if I want to delete some FCPX videos to free up some space.

They are placed inside the project folder, in a folder called "Shared Items." The default location of the project folder is in your Movies folder, called "Final Cut Projects." On an external drive, the "Final Cut Projects" folder is at the top level.
The shared file will have a name that starts with the project name, and ends with whatever you shared it to. For example, "<projectname > - Mac and PC.mp4"
There will also be a file called ShareStatus.plist in that folder. It tracks all the instances of when you share the project. I will also control whether a little icon appears next to your project name in FCPX. Finally, if you delete an item that was shared and it still exists in that .plist file, you will see an exclamation point next to the shared icon; it is harmless but to get rid of that you need to delete the entry from the .plist file.
    Hope this helps!

  • Find imported media in iMovie library

    Hi,
Just bought iMovie and tries to make very basic imports from DV camera to MacBook Pro via firewire.
Camera is perfectly recognised and imports seem to work fine when clicking on "import". But I can't find any of the imported sequences after that in the chosen iMovie library.
Anyone would have an idea of what I could do wrong?
    Many thanks for your help.

  • Can't find a version of iMovie that will open

I created an iMovie, didn't pay any attention to the iMovie version, tried upgrading to iMovie 6 but my computer's processor wasn't fast enough for iLife 6. So I went back and tried to open the old file in iMovie 3, but now it says my monitor doesn't have enough resolution, even though it's that same monitor. I thought maybe I had made the movie in 2, but it requires Classic, which I haven't ever had.
Any ideas on how to find out which version of iMovie my files are in? Also any ideas of how to make iLife 6 work on my system?

Hi over achiever - to find the version of imovie, drag the project icon over TextEdit.

  • Can't get a project from iMovie to iDVD to burn

I did this once before when I was making a test DVD and it worked very simply.  I shot about 50 min of video with my camera, downloaded it into iMovie and burned it to a CD-R from iDVD.  It played back perfectly on my DVD player.  Now that I'm trying to do it with a 2 hour video I shot, I cannot figure out how to get the (3 part) movie from iMovie to iDVD to burn?  It all seemed obvious the first time and now nothing is working. I have the almost 2 hour video saved in both my Event Library and Project Library but cannot figure out where to go from here.  Help!

Share to Media Browser (large) then import into an iDVD project?

  • Sharing iMovies with iDVD

On the older versions I was able to easily and quickly share my iMovie with iDVD - this version takes hours! Is there an easier way to send to iDVD?
Why is the rendering process so slow?
    - James Canty: [email protected]

the newer version is therefore less user-friendly and more time consuming than the older version... who planned that?
Apple had found that many iLife users were not using iMovie, some would argue that iMovie 06 became "too good". Others will say that many of the features of iMovie 06 made it hard for beginners to learn, so iMovie 08 is usually easier for the absolute beginner.
    I use both iMovie 06 and iMovie 08 (iMovie 06 about 90%, iMovie 08 about 10%).
Many reviews of iMovie 08 recommend using both iMovie 08 and iMovie 06.
I do find that iMovie 08 is "feature reduced" and not as DVD friendly compared to iMovie 06. iMovie 06 is "timeline based", iMovie 08 is "clip based". The lack of a true timeline in IM08 is hard to get used to for some.
iMovie 08 is NOT an upgrade of iMovie 06. It is a completely new application. iMovie 08 is better for absolute beginners that don't want to burn a DVD. Most others will like iMovie 06 for its far greater editing power and ease of making DVDs. (Like creating Chapter Markers and Share to iDVD.)
When iLife 08 is installed, all of the old applications are automatically deleted EXCEPT iMovie 06, because Apple WANTS you to have it.
iMovie 08 is a wonderful program assuming that you're using it for what it was designed to do, assemble simple videos to share on the Internet.
I find iMovie 06 to be easier and faster to use than iMovie 08 on longer jobs (more than 10 mins). iMovie 08 is faster for shorter jobs.
iMovie 06 and iDVD 08 is a terrific combination.
The Web site below has a good comparison of iMovie 08 and iMovie 06.

  • Can I add charter marks after iMovie and iDVD

a few years ago I transfered old 16mm to my DV camcorder and then into iMovie and iDVD.
I was looking at one of them for a family reunion and on one of the DVD's I somehow forgot to put in the last 3 chapter stops.
Is there an easy way of redoing the DVD and adding the 3 chapter stops ?
I made several color and lighting adjustments to them and i did not keep anything on the hard drive as I did two B/U's of them.
    Thanks

  • Can't find offline media for a saved project.  Premiere Element 13.  I'm just a novice

I'm just a novice. I've tried to open an older project and it states that media is off line.  I haven't be able to get it back in order to burn another copy of the project.

    edgooding2
Are you trying to open a project file from an older version of Premiere Elements in Premiere Elements 13?
Or, have you done a project in Premiere Elements 13, saved closed it, and now reopen it to find a lot of colorful displays
and "Where is the file _____?" messages?
Major question...forget about the project for the moment...if you go to the computer hard drive, can you spot the files
that the project is telling you are missing?
After any of these project files were saved closed, did you move, delete, or rename files and folders that went into the project?
Let us start here, and then we can decide what next and then go into a lot more details to get your project's source
    media reconnect to the project.
Never hesitate to ask questions and ask for clarification.
    Thank you.

  • Where can I find clips from crashed iMovie?

So, iMOVIE crashed unexpectedly while i was actually recording a video with the built in camera. I restarted the program and the clips werent there. I went to the imovie events folder and although there was a folder for the appropreate date and time for the clip, there was no actual clip. But the space on my hard drive is still missing as if there is a clip, so I know the data is there somewhere, how do i find it?

    Dila,
The ID created points to the internal PK used for that report/region. You can view the source of the HTML to see what that ID is.
However, I would not recommend using this ID for anything, as it will change when you move your application to another instance. Instead, consider using the Static ID attribute of any region or report. There, you can set a more permanent ID for that region, and refer to that programmatically.
    Thanks,
