I need to re-install Photoshop CS5 but when I do what's suggested here there's nothing in my account history to download . . .
Thanks but I tried that and all I got was Access Denied. It would be nice to have the ability to to go straight to the source so I will keep this link handy even though its not working at the moment. Otherwise, this Cloud BS is just that . . .
BTW - It turns out that I really didn't need to re-install PsCS5 after all.
This was the real culprit.

That's a myth. Even users on supprot plans don't have that luxury as downloadable versions only go so far back and then you stil lhave to pay the support. If you never were on any of these plans and purchased your software as a download back then, there is no way to get it this way now - at least not officially from Adobe. Anyway, as Bob said, without a valid serial this is a circular argument and it is even with regards to a possible upgrade to CS5.5 - no serial, no upgrade, no install.

ive been trying to export a final cut file to a .mov. i keep getting a codec error and recently got compressor however when i try to export using compressor it asks for a serial number that i dont have because the app store never gave me one.
Compressor 4 does not give a serial number, it only runs on Mac's that are "authorized" for your iTunes/App Store account.
If it's asking for a s/n, sounds like you're launching an old, unregistered Compressor 3.5 version. Launch from the Applications menu, not from the Dock. -

The marketing part number for the single-user package is MA790Z/A, for the family pack it is MA791Z/A. The only way I've ever been able to find the marketing part number online is to add the item to my cart then edit the cart where it will then show the number & I can remove the item. This is how I just found the single-user number for you. The family pack number is from my Apple Store invoice.I never even think to use the registration web page for Apple software, I just assume when I put in the serial number & it says my registration was sent to Apple, that's it. And I've been using iWork '08 on the family pack license since I got it around August 11 without any further registration.

The serial number was included in the box ARD came in; the Apple Store will not have a record of it. If you've lost the serial number, you'll need to purchase a new copy of ARD, probably a good idea anyway since 2.2 won't run on any version of Mac OS X since, if memory serves, 10.4. It's a lot cheaper through the Mac App Store than it was back when you first purchased.

Like most online purchases you would normally receive the order number before the order is processed so you should be patient and allow some time for the processing to happen. If you feel you have waited long enough then you should contact Adobe Support directly and try to get information on your order since you now have a reference for it that you can share with them.
