Can't find my overdrive audiobook on my ipad

Hello, I'm looking for some help with a library audiobook from the Harris County Public Library.  I have an original ipad running the latest OS.  The book is WMA format, and I have it checked out until 1/27/12.  Here is what I have done so far:
The mobile digital library site (I can't get to the full site - defaults to the mobile site) won't let me download the book using my ipad.  It says that I have to download to a computer using the full site.
So, I did this.  I got the overdrive media console on my XP computer, got the security update, got the book downloaded to my computer, used the transfer wizard.  Seems to work fine.  Computer spent about 30 minutes transferring the 8 audiobook files.
In itunes on my computer, the book is now listed on my device.  The list on the left-side panel under my ipad has the following columns "Music, Movies, TV Shows, Books, Storm Front (this is the name of the book I'm trying to get)".  The eight audiobook files also show up in the Books section.  I have no other books right now, only PDF files and these are all listed here as well.
I have the "manually manage music and video" box checked.
I sync to my ipad.
Now I can't find the audiobook anywhere on my actual ipad.  I have tried with it connected to the PC and disconnected.  It is not in IBooks, not in the overdrive app, it is not showing up in the "music" app, it is not in the "purchased" or "downloaded" section of the itunes app.  I tried rebooting my ipad also.  Where is it?
I can play the file using itunes on my PC, but that is not helpful.
Any ideas?  I've been at this for 90 minutes in the middle of the night...

Which iPad do you have? Siri is only available on the most recent (the "new" iPad).

I can't find previously purchased audiobooks on my computer, these downloads ar older than 90 days.

I have no clue what you mean. If you downloaded the audiobooks in iTunes on your computer or of you transferred the audiobooks from the iPad to iTunes via the transfer purchases feature, the books should be in your iTunes library,
If you are looking to download them again in the purchased section of iTunes, you have to buy them again. Audiobooks cannot be downloaded again for free. They are not part of iTunes in the cloud.

    Thanks for your help Deggie.
I connect my iPad with USB cable to my iMac.
Launch iTunes and confirme that can access my iPad
I select Keynote in the left side list and click Synchronise button at the bottom iTunes window.
I can see in my iPad that it is loading but everything stops at about 60%
I have tried also deleting Keynote from the iPad by holding the app icon and select the X to delete it but it won't delete.
Really tried every possible solution out there. Nothing works for me.
I even deleted manually Keynote.ipa manually and downloaded again.
There seems to be a sync problem between the iPad and IMac.
The horizontal scrolling bar showing the evolution of the transfert to the iPad goes much faster than the small circle showing the download time.
When the syncing is finished in Itunes, there is about 40% left showing on the Keynote icon and it stops there.
Touching the icon, it changes to "pause"
Touching it again, it changes to loading but nothing happens.
I have put a lot of time into this annoying problem.
One more thing, my wife have a more recent iPad and no problem doing the update.
Sorry for my english.... hope I am clear enough.
    Regards
    Richard

I can longer find the airplay icon on my iPad when I double click the home icon. It worked fine and i used it for a couple of weeks to mirror with the Apple TV and then it mysteriously disappeared. Now when I double click and slide the icons at the bottom to far left, instead of finding airplay there is an extra music icon and a music control panel. If I open up the music app, there is an airplay icon top right next to volume control which works fine with mirroring the Apple TV, which suggests to me wi-if and networks are fine. I can only mirror music however. Any ideas anyone?

Where can I find the update setting for my ipad 4 version?

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

I can't find the 'Apps Store' on my iPad.

Look for this icon on all your screens, it may have moved.:
If you swipe all the way to the left, you'll find the search screen, type in App Store there and see if it can find it.
If you still can't find it, then look in Settings->General->restrictions, make sure its not set to off there.
If you still can find it make sure the iPad you bought is not a store Demo unit.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

Can't find my iCloud mail on my iPad.

If you have Settings > iCloud > Mail set 'on' then it should appear in the Mail app. If you are in a different email account in the Mail app then you can navigate up by tapping on the account name at the top left of the Inbox column, and you can then navigate down.
