Can't find my photos :-(

I'm just starting out with Aperture 3 and I've imported all my iPhoto photos. I'm still getting used to things but it was going pretty well. Then all of the sudden I lost the majority of my photos when looking at Library > Photos. I can go to the "In the last month" smart folder and we're looking fine in there. I can search around in my imported iPhoto Library (though I wish I could get rid of that) perfectly fine as well.
Out of 4,000+ photos, only about 300 are showing in the PHOTOS library. The only thing remotely of interest is that the 300 photos that are showing are the ones that matched a smart album I created. Somehow the library is getting filtered and I can't figure out how or where. I've quit and restarted a couple times already. I've cleared the search field on the far right under Faces and Places icons and set it to SHOWING ALL. I've deleted the smart album that was suppose to filter these three hundred images.
Hoping this is something stupid.

I've had something similar. Due toe hanging/crashing library repair it didn't show any or just a few images (out of more than 30.000, most of them with referenced masters). But they were still there and project info also displayed the right amount of images. I've never been able to repair my huge main library. Rebuilding the library didn't help either.
But I was able to export all projects as new library and then repair those libraries. Finally the images showed up again. Keywords etc. are ok but I've lost all of the albums within the former projects. That's annoying but I can deal with that. I still can't work with any library longer than 5-10 minutes without a crash.

How can I find duplicate photos withough going through all 5000 one by one? I have numerous duplications and used to be able to click on Edit and Find Duplicates and could clean up all the duplicates easily. Now that option is gone. I still have lots to delete.

I do backup everything using Carbonite.Please don't tell me it is bad, too :-) Also, especially with photo files, I do have other backups of those I am concerned about. Probably not the best in the world, but a log better than many people who I know about.
Again, I really have not seen any problems with MacKeeper. I imagine that if people do not read and follow instructions, they could have problems. For example, it is possible to scan all your files and see them in order of size. If you start deleting things, without knowing what you're deleting, you could cause trouble. Even when the computer scans for so-called junk files, you can look at them and decide for yourself if they are truly junk. I've never seen any that were not.
So, I will look at the complaints anyway to see them. I am open to change, although I hope I do not need to drop Mackeeper as it does things like keeping tracking of applications updates that I need. Please note that I definitely am not a MacKeeper employee or anything close. Just using it and happy with the the results.
I did download the recommend file for finding photo dupes and ran it. There were very few duplicates, in any case, As I said before, the MacKeeper dupe finder was very slow when I ran it over ALL my files. That was a year ago and it did find many non-text dupes.

I am not aware you can extract a single photo or a single app's content from the backup, you can either restore the whole backup to your phone or not restore. If you restore your last backup to your phone then any content that is currently on your phone will be replaced with what was on it at the time that the backup was made - so if you do decide to restore, first copy off any purchases to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases, and copy any documents/files that you've udpated on the phone since the backup.

Envy 5530 can't find scanned photos on my windows 7 PC

I have just got my printer and want to scan some very old photos into my PC. The printer screen says 'scan to computer or others'. I chose computer and scanning started but I can't find my photo anywhere. I was not asked where to put the photo or any other info about my computer. I also tried the 'other' option but a message asking me to ensure the software had been installed. I ran the disc that came with the computer to start with. I can print from my PC and ipad. Help please.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
It is very strange that your HP Envy 5530 is scanning but your photos cannot be found anywhere on your computer. Because you have run the Full Feature Software and Driver install for your product is does appear that everything is installed as it should be.
When you're scanning from the Front Panel of the product it will scan automatically to the default 'save to' location. With the HP Scan software the default 'save to location' for JPEGS is your pictures folder. With PDF files the default location is your Documents folder.
Also, when you select 'Scan' from the front panel of the printer and choose Computer it should display your computer name to select as the computer you want to scan to. To find out your computer name you can:
Click on your Start menu
Right click on Computer
Left click on Properties
Near the bottom it will display 'Computer name' - this is the name you should be selecting on the front panel of your product.
I'm going to provide you with a document for step-by-step instructions for scanning from the Front Panel on the printer:

Once the scan has completed successfully it should automatically launch the 'save to' file location on your computer. Please be advised that this may take a few moments to open.
Should this still not work than please try to scan from the HP Scan Software on your computer so we can ensure functionality:

If the Front Panel scan or the HP Scan don't work for you than you need to run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to 'fix scanning'. This tool will automatically detect and attempt to fix different scanning issues that can arise with the printer or with the computer.

Tap the Photos icon in the Dock at the bottom of of the screen.
If you don't see the photos there, tap Settings > iCloud
Turn Photo Stream off then back on then restart your iPad.
Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on

I imported vacation photos, got the color wheel and did a force quit. Now I can't find any of those photos, and of course I deleted them from the SD card when I imported them. Where can I find those photos?

I imported vacation photos from my cameras SD card and deleted them when the import was complete. Then I moved them from Events into an Album. When trying to move 2 photos as once to another album I got the color wheel and locked up. I did a force quit but when I go back into iPhoto none of the recently imported photos appear - not in Events, the album, trash, etc. Where can I find those photos?

Apple tv can't find my photos since I switched from iPhoto to Photos

I recently switched from iPhoto to Photos on my imac which is running Yosemite 10.10.6. and since then my Apple TV version 2 can't find my photos. Also, the taskbar on Photos is nothing like they show in the description.

Have you changed your Home sharing settings in iTunes from iPhoto to Photos (iTunes > File > Home Sharing > Choose Photos...)

I stated that I did try to do all of this when I first set up the new computer...I did do the Setup Assistant numerous times but my old computer kept freezing half way through. Even if I did it when I first got the new computer back in Septemeber, I would have had the same issue b/c my old computer has been 'broken' for a while. My old computer can't handle doing too much at once and I think the setup and then migration functions I tried were too much. That's why I was hoping I could use the migration function piecemeal. I wish I could just check off the exact files and folders I want vs. having to choose it at the 'user' level...that's too much for my old computer to have to transfer.

What version of the OS do you have? What has changed since iPhtoo worked?
What exactly is the problem - you say "it was not responding" - You downloaded a new version (what version)" -you can't find yoru photos" none of which is helpful
look in your applications folder - is there an Iphoto application there? If so get info and report the version
Look in the picures folder - is there an iPhoto library there? If so exactly (including exact error messages) happens if you double click on it?
what else can you tell us that might help us assist you?

Here to help shed some additional light on this case, jdondr. I also own a Maxx. With your phone, if you access the Gallery, there should be a folder named: Messaging. If you look at the upper left hand corner, you should see a drop down box. Is it currently set to Albums?

BT Cloud Can't find my photo's

Hi,
I have installed the cloud app on my phone.
It said it was backing all my photos and videos. But when i look in the app i can only see 3 photo's
It said it was backing up 759 photos.
It says i have used 31% of my allowance. But i can't find the photos.
Any ideas?

Photo Stream, if they were uploaded to it within the last 30 days. Assuming you no longer have the phone or it's not working, that's it. If you didn't back them up, they're gone.

Photoshop can't find my photos.
