Can't find my Toshiba Satellite model number

I've been trying to figure out if my laptop has an internal modem (I don't see it, but I want to make sure it's because it's absent not because I am missing drivers). Anyways, I cannot find the model of my laptop. The label on the bottom is gone.
I installed EVEREST and Belarc and they both just say "Toshiba Portable PC". Where and how do I find the model of my laptop?
Thanks for your help,
Nova

Thank you for your response
TECRA A11 -S3540 model is closer to my notebook.
If I install the drivers for the Tecra A11-Q-3540 will not cause a problem on my notebook?
And I had another question
My recovery has been deleted
Wrong in fdisk
I made my all hard drive to delete / destroy my
With many programs try to restore the recovery drive but did not result
How to recover my notebook drive recovery
Do you have an idea
Thank you very much from the rapid response and guidance

My other sons same make and model Toshiba laptop won't even start. You push the on button and nothing happens. The plug in lights work and the battery light but no power up. Any tricks?

Unplug the AC adapter, remove the battery, then press and hold the power button down for a minimum of 30 seconds.  Now replace the battery and see if it powers up.  If not repeat the process but this time leave the battery out and only plug in the AC.  If it still doesn't power on repeat the process again and this time replace the battery and plug the AC back in.  If it still doesn't power up it's time to start checking the hardware.  Remove the ram and try it with only one stick.  You might need to try each one individually to see if either works.  If that doesn't help remove the hard drive and see if it will post to the Toshiba screen.  If that doesn't help you'll probably need to take it to a service center.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • Toshiba Laptop Model Number X205-SLi3

I have purchase a Toshiba Laptop Model Number X205-SLi3 back on late 2007 by on 03/12 , 06/20, 11/25/08 and on 4/20/09 this laptop has being at the repair shop, has any one else having trouble this king of problem.  I was told I may receive the laptop back some time after may 24, 2009 if they get the parts in. what can I do with this problem,  Florida law has the lemon law and this loptop falls in this category.  My last toshiba laptop lasted 5 years before it die. I do like toshiba over all, but this one has be thinking in what to do. Need help in what to do!!!

The first time it wend down it wouldn't boot up, and both video card replace.  the second time was it was the both video cards, mother board and the screen,  The third time they replace the mother board and both video cards.  and now it looks like is both video card. one USB port quit working. and the computer wont boot-up and give you the three bips of death.  They toll me I may get that maybe by May 24th they will get the video card,  The only thing I want from toshiba is to give me back the days that the laptop stay their waiting for repair, on my waranty. Or replace the bloody thing. They told me they can't do anything becouse I send it to a authorice repair depot and not to their repair depot. They know that the laptop has gone to a representative repair depot, since the gave auto repair number.

Unfortunately, that's not it either.  On the bottom of my MBP from Mid 2010 it says "A1286".  That's great, but that's not the unique model number.  For instance, looking for a keyboard for it I found one that is compatible with:
    (MC371LL/A, A1286, MacBookPro6,2) - Mid 2010
    (MC372LL/A, A1286, MacBookPro6,2) - Mid 2010
    (MC373LL/A, A1286, MacBookPro6,2) - Mid 2010
Each one of those is MBP6,2 from Mid 2010, model A1286, but what about those first sets of numbers?  Is mine one of those three?  Or did they make more than just those three and mine may be one of the ones not listed?
I can't seem to find any way to know for sure, short of ordering the thing and hoping that it fits.  :-/
Those are "order numbers", in this case:
    MC371LL/A = 2.4 GHz CPU
    MC372LL/A = 2.53 GHz CPU
    MC373LL/A = 2.66 GHz CPU
These are all the flavors there exists for a model A1286 with identifier "MacBookPro6,2".
Going back to the excellent earlier post of babowa  I believe it works as follows:
The model number (A1286) which you can find on the bottom of your MBP doesn't say too much: it's used from late 2008 to mid 2012 MBP 15" models.
In addition you have model identifiers (MacBookPro6,2), which in your case nears it down to a mid-2010 model.
But you can also have different model numbers for a single model identifier and there comes in the EMC number Balboa mentions. I believe it's a unique comination between a model number and a model identifier. For example, the MacBookPro3,1 can be a 15" or a 17", which each a different model number (A1226 and A1229) so they each have a unique EMC number. I wouldn't know where to find the EMC number on a MBP, by the way.
One step down: within each model identifier you have several order numbers, the three you have listed above. Generally they distinguish different CPUs in standard configurations. However, if there is CTO/BTO option to upgrade a CPU it would not have its own order number. My BTO MBP 17" mid-2010 has an i7 2.66 GHz CPU but the order number is equal to the standard i5 2.53 GHz CPU.
Apart the very good website babowa provided a link to, you can download the free (donationware) application Mactracker from the App Store, which is a well maintained database of about every piece of hardware and every OS Apple ever released with a very friendly user interface. Click on "This Mac" and you got all the info I described above.

My ipod was stolen, can I find out what the serial number of it is, based on looking at a connection history in my itunes? How would I do this? I didn't register it. I think I found the guy selling it, just looking to confirm the serial number and I'll make a phone call to the police.
    Thanks

    is this possible?
    Yes.
Open iTunes on the computer you used to sync the iPod and select Preferences… from the iTunes menu.
Select the Devices pane. Position the cursor over any of its backups. The iPod's serial number will appear in a popup window.

Did you do the migration? If so, you have to renew the conference ID.
