Can't FInd My Widget

I have a really great movie showtimes widget on my older mac and I wanted to put it on a new machine. I can't find it online (or any good movie showtime widgets), so I was going to copy it from the oldmachine.
The problem, however, is that I can't find the widget anywhere. It's on my dashboard, and it runs, but I can't find the actual file on my hard disk. I looked in the Library > Widgets folder, but it's not there.
Does anyone know of another place I could find my widget? Since it runs on my dashboard it MUST be somewhere. I tried "manage widgets" while in the dashboard too, but that doesn't seem to help.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you were looking in the User> Library> Widgets location, that is not
where traditionally those widgets would be stored. At least not in the
several computers I have and use. (Could be changed in 10.5.8.)
The +hard drive> Library> Widgets+ folder is where I see all the installed
widgets in my computer; and these were installed via my user/Admin
account. In the primary computer, this is the only account; while in my
other computers, I have more than one user account. They also have
the Widgets in a system Library as seen in the Hard drive (Mac HD)
and not in a user's Library. (But yours could be in the other location.)
I've been able to re-install widgets before; one of the better ideas is to
save and keep a copy of the original widgets in a file/folder on a CD
along with some of the other upgrade or update software for reinstalls.
Hopefully you can find the item. Sometimes, a search online can find
a secondary free and safe source for another download of a widget.
Or, just a newer one that may not work in an older OS.
Could be the widgets page at Apple Support software may have a new
replacement that does something similar?
{With DashCode in 10.5.8, you can make widgets.}
With 'Find' you should be able to locate all things 'Widget' in the Mac.
And click on any one of the Widgets to trace the path to its location.
What widget is the one you can't find in your computer?
Maybe someone has the same one and could email it.
Good luck & happy computing!

From where can i get more widgets for Adsense, contact form, contact list database, newsletter, more social media icons, SEO, blogs, articles etc etc

At current stage Muse does not provides database or any other crm module. You would need to add contents or use database from server end where you are hosting your site.
You can search here for any widget you are looking for :

  • HT2513 I have a Macbook pro and I've lost my ical and widget icons. It says it's in the trash but I can't find it.

I have a Macbook pro and I've lost my ical and widget icons. It says it's in the trash but I can't find it.

    Hey Shady K,
It sounds like you've removed the iCal and Widget icons from your dock and want to get the back there for easy access. The following document goes over dock basics and there's a section (which I copied below) that goes over how to get those icons back on to the dock. Essentially you'll just find the application's icon in your applications folder and drag it back.
    Mac Basics: The Dock
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2474
    Adding and removing Dock items
If you want to add an application to the Dock, click the Launchpad icon in the Dock and drag the application icon to the Dock; the icons in the Dock will move aside to make room for the new one. If you want to add a file or folder to the Dock, just drag its icon from any Finder window (or the desktop) and drop it on the Dock. The resulting icon that appears in the Dock is actually an alias of the original item (it's kind of a pointer to your original item). If you drag an application or file onto the Dock, you'll be able to open it anytime by simply clicking its docked icon. If you drag a folder onto the Dock, a Finder window of the folder's contents will display when you click the folder icon in the Dock.
To remove an item from the Dock, drag its icon an inch or more off the Dock and wait a couple seconds, then release; the icon will disappear in a poof of smoke. There are some icons that you can't remove from the Dock, such as the Trash and the Finder.
Don't worry, you aren't permanently removing the item from your computer; you simply got rid of its Dock icon. If you want that item back in the Dock, locate the application, file, or folder in the Finder (or with Spotlight), and drag it back into the Dock.
    Hope that helps,
    David

  • HT1338 in version 5:  i can't find my downloads widget anymore.....anyone?

hi!  i recently purchased and successfully downloaded version 10.5.8 and all was fine.  i've suddenly lost the "download" widget and cannot download, open docs, or images.  anybody know why?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

  • Can't find Lima, Peru in weather widget

Can anybody find this city in the weather widget?
I have tried in 2 different iphones without any luck. I have family there and I would like to have this city added to my weather widget. The strange thing is that my hometown trujillo, peru and cuzco, peru showed up. can't believe the capital isn't showing up in the yahoo/weather.com widget for iphone.

I know. The weird thing is that I can get even smaller cities than the capital of peru, Lima. The iphone found:
Trujillo, Cuzco all in peru. So weird.
if you pull out the yahoo weather site you can find it without any problem.

  • Where can I find this calendar widget?

    Hi everyone,
I want to add a calendar widget. Google Calendar's default baby blue color doesn't really match my client's company site.
I got this reference that I wanted to copy: Classes | High School Investing™
Let me know where can get that calendar widget. Or maybe if you know some widget similar to that.
    Thanks!

It's possible to customize the color of a google calendar before you embed it into Muse.

ibook-widgets.com    have a free tutorial book in the iBooks store.  Search for "Create your first interactive book using iBooks Author"   they also  sell widgets.
I  dont have any connection - I  found their eBook in the store long ago  and used it to learn more about iBA.
The best advice though, is be patient,  go back over the process step by step, I cannot  access the Help files for some reason.. but i am sure its in their.

I was hear and I knew "Ovi" brand has replace entirely by "Nokia" brand.

Some time I was try remove them, but my device always notice " Cancelled remove".
I don't understand OVi Store widget version 2.12.040 and Ovi version 1,0,21129 has useful what on my device? Because, on Belle, we can not use OVi Store widget version 2.12.040 and Ovi version 1,0,21129.
Any one have some solutions or give to me some ways for this problem.
    Thank you.

I have the same issue and have come to the conclusion that its much better to live a peaceful life without the ovi store then to be worried about it and start hating your gorgeous e7 even more all the ovi apps are available over the internet you can download them from some other website .... unfortunately till nokia doesnt do another anna update this trouble will not be solved.... people will tell you to get your phone flashed from ncc but i think thats pathetic that you pay this much money and keep running to ncc to fkash your phone after every update, so just relax and enjoy the standard stuff and hoppe that nokia makes some magical anna update which cures it all

  • Can't add new Widgets to Dashboard on main user account

I recently switched to a new MacBook Air and after the initial intstallation used migration assistent to move my old data to the MacBook Air. All works fine except the Dashboard. With the old useraccount (which is my main account) I can't add new widgets to the dashboard. When I download and install a new widget I can see it in the /user/library/widgets section, I can see it in the widget list in the dashboard but when I click on it or drag it up to the dashboard it closes the dashboard again.
I tried adding a new user and in works fine in that new account.
Here's what I did to try and solve it sofar:
    1. Repaired permissions
    2. Deleted the two .plist's in user/library/preferences
    3. Deleted the Cache in user/library/cache
    4. Checked the folder permissions in /user/library/widget and compared that with the newuser/library/widget
    5. Downloaded the 10.6.6. combo update and reinstalled
This behaviour is with every new widget I tried to install.
I tried to find similar behaviour using google but so far no luck. Any suggestions?

You have hosed preferences in the main user account. Create a new admin user account, log into it, backup the bad account's folder, delete the bad account, selecting the save data option, recreate the bad account using the same username/password combo, log out and back into the recreated original account. If the problem's solved, open the saved data dmg file in /Users/Deleted Users/, open the /Library/Preferences/ folder from the saved data, open the current /Users/restored account/Library/Preferences/ folder, and slowly copy plist files from the saved data folder to the current one that don't exist in it. Log out and back in to ensure there's no conflict and things still work correctly. Resolving conflicts or identifying corrupt plist files is a laborious process. Good luck.

When I swipe down the notification center, I can not find "tap to tweet" or "tap to post." How can I put it back?

    Hi there,
When I swipe down the notification center, I can not find "tap to tweet" or "tap to post." How can I put it back?
I can help you with that!
Go to Settings > Notifications > Share Widget and toggle Notification Center to ON.
If Notification Center is OFF in the Share Widget, then the Share Widget will be located under the sub-heading "Not In Notification Center."
If Notification Center is ON in the Share Widget, then the Share Widget will be located under the sub-heading "In Notification Center."

  • OS 10.9.3-CAN WE HAVE "DESKTOP" WIDGETS-NOT ON DASHBOARD?

I've had a Local WeatherBug widget for several yrs. I simply moved my cursor to the lower right corner
and it appeared giving me local weather information.  I moved my cursor again and it was gone.
I loved it!!  Now, after some repairs necessitating a clean system install and, thus, upgrading to
OS 10.9.3, I've been trying to get it back.......but  no such luck.
It seems the only way I can get any weather widget is by putting it on my Dashboard. . .  but…
I DON'T NEED OR USE THE DASHBOARD.  The Dashboard, for me, is just adding another step.
The few apps I suppose I could use are duplicates. I have Apple's OS apps on my DOCK because I
use them ALL THE TIME. ex: Calendar, Calculator  & Dictionary. They're right there!
I don't have to open one thing to get to another....... they're always visible.   The Dashboard only
complicates things and adds another step instead of the app just opening up.
I've been to WeatherBug and it's all very confusing.  I downloaded one app that turned-out to be
for Windows only. OK >>  trash!
Then I downloaded another for Macs. It put a "Bug" only on my desktop and kept saying the app.
was open-- I couldn't even trash it because "it was open".  I ended up shutting down and then
restarting to close the darn thing so I was then able to  >>>> trash.
Then I tried the one Apple offers for WeatherBug...but that's for the Dashboard.
No option that I know of, or could find anyway,  to put it anywhere else— or once there, to move
    anywhere else.
IS THERE SOME WAY, AFTER A WIDGET IS DOWNLOADED TO THE DASHBOARD, WHERE IT CAN BE
MOVED OUT OF THE DASHBOARD AND ONTO THE DESKTOP?
If so, would someone please tell me -- step by step-- how to do this. On the Dashboard, it's worthless
to me.  I might as well just click on my favorites bookmark bar for the TV stations weather report.
We all use our Apple products differently. I only have my Mac because that's all I need.  I suppose
many of these new applications are for syncing with other Apple products and for people who do many
more things on their products than I do.  But...... WHERE ARE THE OPTIONS TO KEEP IT SIMPLE??
Having to open one app to get to another one is NOT SIMPLE!!  It's not the “Apple way” but then many
new things aren't the “Apple way” = intuitive, simple-- easy.
    Thank you.
    Ricki

From your description, I think you simply have been using Dashboard all along. Open System Preferences -> Mission Control and click on 'Hot Corners'. Click on the lower right menu and select Dashboard.
If Dashboard doesn't show up as a transparent layer for you, also in Mission Control preferences deselect the option 'Show Dashboard as a Space',

Golleeeee, your memory's worse than mine!  You remember how to set up a widget?  Long press empty space on the screen where you want it?  Select "Widgets>Power control widget".  Hope the Droid Pro is still the same.
