Can't find my zen xtra in the Creative MediaSource Organi
My Zen Xtra shows in "NOMAD Explorer" but when I try to use Creative MediaSource Organizer to transfer file from my computer to Zen xtra player, I can't found Zen xtra under "my computer"
any help? My player has the latest firmware and also latest dri've was installed in my computer!!

It's been a while since I used my Xtra but I seem to recall there's an option to format the player from the rescue screen - hold down the play button and press the reset button in with a paperclip and you should see a screen with an option to completely format the player. I may be dreaming it, but it's worth a try!
That said, if you can find someone with a PC running Windows XP and Windows Media Player 10 (alternatively, install Windows XP in VirtualBox and upgrade to Windows Media Player 10) you can install the latest "PlaysForSure" Xtra firmware from the download page. Once installed this turns the Xtra into a standard MTP device, allowing you to use it on any machine that supports MTP without having to install any drivers (this includes Windows with Media Player 10 or later installed, so Vista and later are automatically supported). However, you can only install the firmware from a machine running Windows Media Player 10 - if you try with Windows Media Player 11 or later installed the firmware updater will fail to detect the player.
I updated my Zen Xtra to the PlaysForSure firmware when it was first released and never had any issues with my player after that, in XP, Vista or 7 (and it made life much easier as I no longer had to rely on Creative's drivers, which were a little problematic). -

Its plugged directly to time capsule whoyh ethernet cabel. but nothing to find on my mac...?? its a sony sensor 2mp ip cam an i have iMac and time capsule and some iPhone and a hp printer on this network everything is working fine but i justb cant find the cam... please HELP :-)

Is this setup as you described.. the camera plugged into the TC? Both Mac and PC plugged or on wireless from the TC?

When you say you cannot find the CAM on the TC what exactly are you expecting?? Nothing at all will show up from the CAM on the TC when you have it plugged in by ethernet.
How do you open the IP camera to access its controls.. on the PC or does it use a special PC only software??is it just via a browser?
Have you tried opening it via browswer in the Mac?? if the layout is as you described and you can open it from the PC then the Mac will work exactly the same.. but cheap CAMs will not have Mac software. So this will only work from a browser.

Of course you can install the windows version of the airport utility.. how does this help you.. I think you do not understand that the TC is a dumb hard disk in a router.. it offers nothing for your network.. it will never be able to see the Camera.. it is not smart enough to do anything but save files from a computer. -
On my iPad Mini, when I delete an email from the inbox (and it goes into Trash), it immediately deletes that email from the server (ATT/Yahoo). I've called support for both ATT and Apple and can't find a way to have the emails remain on the server.
My husband and I share an email address and if he misses a day checking email on his notebook, he doesn't receive the items that I have sent to Trash on my iPad Mini.
Appreciate suggestions.
[The curious thing is, if I "move" the deleted emails from Trash on my iPad Mini into the Inbox, I can go to my notebook, open my online email and they are back in my ATT/Yahoo Inbox.]Is your Yahoo account set up as POP3 or IMAP?

I just got a new MacBook Pro, and I tried to bring across my files from my last mac using time machine. After it was done copying I can't find my files anywhere but the space (about 130gb) has been used on my hard drive. Does anyone know how I can get to them? I did change my user name from 'user' while it was copying, could this have something to do with it?
You don't want to do that by copying.
Your best bet, by far, is to use Setup Assistant. If your Mac is running Snow Leopard, see Using Setup Assistant on Snow Leopard or Leopard.

When I last used Firefox support, several years ago, I saw mention of a long list of options and settings available, using a kind of local URL, beginning with "about:". I can't find it now. I would like to upgrade my OS from 10.6.8. I can't find any higher version on the site. Yosemite is the latest but not available. Can someone help please?

I asked about automatic backup of bookmarks and received the following answer:You can make Firefox 3 create an automatic HTML backup (bookmarks.html) when you exit Firefox if you set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML] to true on the about:config page. That backup is created by default in the profile folder as bookmarks.html, but you can set the file name and path via the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.bookmarks.file browser.bookmarks.file] on the about:config page. I went to about:config page and toggled browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML to “Yes” and it’s working. However, I want to change the file location, but I can’t find browser.bookmarks.file in the list.
The browser.bookmarks.file preference does not exist by default. Right-click in about:config and select "New > String" to create it.

It looks like Agilent/HP makes the 8990A, but I was not able to find a driver for it that we or Agilent has written for this device.
Since I am not familiar with the 8990A, I cannot recommend which drivers might be similar, but you are pointed in the right direction. Agilent themselves might know more about which models use similar command sets so that you can modify a driver easily.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your question. All images are in your Library and only those you specifically select from that Library would be in an Album. What platform are you using? Revel Mac, Elements, web browser, etc?
