Can't find old music purchases on I-Tunese

Have just posted this message but it doesn't show in the discussions list which is very annoying. May take a little while to show up as no doubt messages posted to this thread will be checked over for content. Just a summary. I need to find my old music purchases in I-Tunes. Everything has been wiped since I downloaded a new version of I-Tunes but I've still got my old apple id ie: email address. I've reset my password.

You are on a Mac or PC ? Actually there is no reason why your music should be gone. It looks like a database corruption issue to me. In any case don't worry about your purchases as iCloud will start this week, you will be able to retrieve all your music from there.

How do I find old music purchases?

I have a complete U2 album that I did not choose to pay for or even authorize for that matter, but I have had it for a while being I didn't know you could get refunds for previous purchases( I know I am terrible with technology) I need to know how I can possibly find the album under my purchases so that I can report it as a problem so I can hopefully get refunded for it and get my money back. If the music was purchased using iTunes on your iPhone you will need to transfer it from the iPhone to the laptop. When iTunes is up, and your iPhone is connected and showing under devices, right-click on the name of your iPhone, and select transfer purchases, all of the purchases will transfer to the laptop, but will still be on the iPhone.

You may be able to redownload your iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
BTW, did you sync to the laptop before? Yu can only sync to one iTunes library. If you sync to to another library the iPod will be eerased and it contents replace with what is in the iTunes library on the computer.

But my iPod still works and has all of my old music stored. I'd like to sync it to my current PC, but the adapter is so old that it doens't work with new laptops. Ok, I sorted my iTunes problem out finally so that's all sweet..
But all Of a sudden I can't find the music I download..?
I downloaded a song the other night that me and my boyfriend really liked..
Was downloading as normal then once it finished I went to find it in my music and wasnt there..??!!

Music and other purchased media doesn't sync to your Mac from iCloud, it must be downloaded to your iTunes library, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.
If they are on an iOS device, they can also be transferred to your iTunes library by opening iTunes on your Mac, authorizing iTunes for all Apple IDs used to purchase the media in Store>Authorize This Computer, then connecting your device to your computer and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases.

I hid one of my music album purchases by an accident. now i wanna unhide it, so that i can import the album to my ipod.

i tried as what it says but i really can not find "View Hidden Purchases" on my account information page.
the only two things i can see in "Itunes in the cloud" are "Manage Devices" and "Learn More".
No "View Hidden Purchases" part!

To unhide your purchases
Open iTunes on your computer. You can download the latest version of iTunes here.
If you're not already signed in, choose Store > Sign in. If you're signed in, skip to step 4.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then click the Sign In button.
Choose Store > View My Account. (You may be asked to enter your password again).
Click on View Hidden Purchases from your Account Information page.
Choose a content type by clicking Music, TV shows, Apps, or Books from the top.
Click the Unhide button next to the item you would like to restore.
Note: If the item you are unhiding is not already downloaded on your computer locally, it will begin downloading automatically.

I have an iPod classic, 30GB - I can no find the music I have synced

I bought another computer about 2 yrs ago. I have not been adding any new music to it, but I can not find the music I have synced with my iPod. I hesitate hooking up my iPod to the computer. Could I lose mu music?

If you have signed into iTunes on the computer using a different Apple ID that was used to originally download the music, that's why it's not loading in iTunes.
On the computer with iTunes open go to the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Sign in with the Apple ID used for those purchases.

You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music.
