Can't find picture

I had a HTC droid incredible two and broke it by mistake I replaced it with another HTC droid incredible two because I liked it so much. Once I got my new one I synched it with my gmail account that is attached to my phone that's when the background from my other phone showed up. However, the picture does not show up in my gallery. Where would this picture be stored? I would really like to find it so that I can store it on my computer.

It might have been stored in the internal phone memory or on the external SD card. Did you plug the phone into a computer as a disk drive to check for any files you wanted to transfer?

Can't find pictures

I think I accidentally moved pictures to another directory and can't find them.Not sure what directory they are in now.
Sowhen I go to iPHOTO now, I see a photo album but the pictures are blank.
Can someone help a novice find where the pictures are? I'm great with finding pictrures (.jpg;s,etc.) in Windows. I just do a search. How do you do this on a MAC?

Do a search for
library6.iphoto
That's the main database file. Thats should lead you to the missing Folder. Use Spotlight (the blue icon top right).

Light Room Can't Find Pictures

I can find the pictures in MY Pictures and open them up in Windows and in PE 11 but when I try to import them into LR 5 it says it can't find the pictures. It has me baffled.

The exact message is "No photos or videos found to import"
Yes they were originally imported and I was able to view then they dissapeared, but the collection named remained in the list of collections with the notatiion of zero pictures. I eliminated the collection and started all over to import it anew. The result being the program can't find the pictures.

E71, NMT on Mac can't find pictures

When I use NTM on my Mac, the application can't find any of the pictures I've taken with the in-built camera. The pictures that comes along with the E71 are detected, but none of the picture I've taken. Same thing goes with the videos.
What should I do to make sure that the application finds my pictures?

Hi,
I think mostly the image capture plugin is either corrupted or damaged. Try the steps below and check.
-Open HDD-Library-Application Support-Find and Delete the entire Nokia Multimedia Transfer folder.
-Then navigate to users-Library-Application Support -Nokia Multimedia Transfer (delete) -Applications-Nokia Multimedia Tranfer-Control Click-Show package contents.
-Delete the entire contents folder.
-Make sure the trash is empty.
-Download and install NMT again from www.nokia.com/mac
-Now connect the device
-Go to NMT> Tools and Settings > Check for updates now
- Reboot Mac and then reconnect the device and check.
Hopefully this works.

Can't find picture files on 30GB iPod

My hard drive recently crashed and I am trying to transfer picture files from my iPod video back to my computer. I have downloaded a program to help transfer the photos but when I open up the photos folder in My Computer there are only two folders an empty folder and a photo database icon. But when I disconnect the iPod and open the photos section all of my pictures are there. How can I find the pictures files? If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks

Check http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod-software-windows for something to help you transfer the photos from the ipod. You may want to try copytrans ( http://www.copytrans.net/index.php ) as it copies absolutely everything from your ipod, then look in the directory created by it for your photos.

Can not find pictures

I can not find any of my pictures that are on my computer. I don't know what happened to them. The icon at the bottom of my screen for my pics isn't there anymore...
Also, my start up disk is full and I only use my computer for pictures (which i can no longer find) and internet…

Download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all of you files and their respective sizes. Delete or transfer to an external HDD the files that you do not want on your MBA. Don't forget to empty Trash.

Can't find Pictures from My PhotoStream in iPhoto

Yesterday I had all my pics and Events on iPhoto ( including .mov file videos I took with my iphone).
Sudenly this morning I go to iphoto and everything is gone ???
So what I did was opening iphoto again and import an iPhoto file I had on the Pictures Folder in Finder . I recovered many of my missing pics but I'm still missing others ? Any advice ?
As for the .mov file videos they are completely gone?

What version of iPhoto and system are you running? Assuming it's iPhoto 9 (11) give the following a try: apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #3, followed by #4 and then #1 as needed.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

Can't find pictures in Picture folders

I have a new 8900 Curve with some photos in the Blackberry/Pictures folder (some taken with the camera and placed there automatically, others moved onto the device using Blackberry Desktop Manager/Roxio software).
The problem is that none of these photos appear when I select "Change Icon" for MyFaves or "Add Picture" to a contact. I see Media Card/BlackBerry/pictures, and no photos are there. Or if I select Media/Pictures/All Pictures, I don't see them.
The only way to see them is if I select Media/Pictures Explore/Media Card/Blackberry/pictures, which I can't do from the Edit Contact/Add Picture menu.
Make sense? What's the fix? Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Use the explore option again and when you get to pictures select show hidden.
If the pictures don't show up, look for a BBthubs.dat file, delete it.
Do a battery pull.
Then go to media, pictures and see if they show up.
BBthumbs.dat is a index file that lets the device pull up the media quicker.

Can't find pictures after backup

I recently changed my HDD in my laptop. I first did a backup onto an external hard drive. When attempting to restore the files to my computer I only get the folders in 'My Pictures' but no files/pictures in those folders. I can't even find them on the
external hard drive. What should I do?

First, we can try to use SATA USB cable.
I also would like to suggest you try the following methods to check the issue:
1. Show hidden files, folders, and drivers. ( Open the Start menu and type 'hidden' in search box, Click on 'Show hidden files and folder', In the View menu that pops up, click "Show hidden files, folders, and drives")
2. In folder properties, check if any Previous Versions is available.

If only the jpeg files not showing in "my picture" folder, I would suggest you to do a check disk on the system and check whether the issue persists.
a. Click Start and then Run.
b. In Open, type cmd and then press ENTER.
c. Type chkdsk, and then press ENTER.

Can't find pictures with I try to insert into MS Word (Mac Version)

I've been trying to find my photos in the "Pictures" folder and they are not there. Only my old iPhoto pictures appear and these were uploaded from my camera prior to upgrading to iLife '08. I can only see my events of old and new photos in iPhoto, but not when I try to "insert" them from Word. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
1. Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. Show File: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.
To upload to MySpace or any site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
You can make a quick Media Viewer with Automator, and drag pics from it to Word.
The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves. If you're willing to risk database corruption, you can restore the older functionality simply by right clicking on the iPhoto Library and choosing 'Show Package Contents'. Then simply make an alias to the folders you require and put that alias on the desktop or where ever you want it. Be aware though, that this is a hack and not supported by Apple.

Can't Find Pictures in Time Capsule

OK, I'm a little stumped here. When I open Time Capsule, the "Search For" section is grayed out so I can't press "all images" and when I open my home folder and press pictures, only the iPhoto icon comes up. If I click on it, it's just the icon. WHere are my pictures being backed up to? This is one of the sole reasons I got time capsule.

If you use iPhoto then it’s the iPhoto Library that is backed up, and the correct way to restore is via the File -> Show back ups option or simply to restore the entire iPhoto Library.
That said, you can access the actual photo files in the back ups by right clicking on the iPhoto Library and going ‘Show Package Contents’.
Standard warning
Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.

Photo storage over capacity but can't find pictures on phone

When I hooked up my iPhone 5 to my laptop, the storage for the phone says I'm over capacity. It's understandable that most of the storage would be allocated to photos, however, it says I have 6089 photos when in reality I try to keep the photos below 200. The only way I could have that many photos is if you add up everything from the camera roll, albums, my photo stream, and shared photo streams. Maybe I'm just not that tech savvy, but I thought the photo streams were supposed to take up cloud storage and not phone storage. Regardless, I would like to know how to find these photos so I can copy them to my computer and then remove them from my phone. As it stands I only have 155 pictures on my camera roll because I have to delete pictures before I can take more. Can someone please help?
