Can't Find Serial Number on back of "Installing Your Software" packet

On the back of my installation packet, the two stickers on it are both upgrade codes, (i'm not trying to update anything) and the installer won't recognize this code, but I can't find my serial number. Help?

If the two stickers are upgrade codes, that most likely means you bought an upgrade version. "Upgrade" versions require you to already have an older version of FCE with a serial code you possess. Verify that it is in fact a normal FCE box, not an upgrade version. If it is an upgrade and you don't have an older version, you will need to return it and get the non-upgrade version.

The hot key combination you can use at the desktop screen is "FN + ESC". That should bring a system information window on the screen with the computer information including the serial number.

Depends where and how you purchased them. I don't believe you can get the serial number / product key out of the software at all. If you bought from Adobe online you can log into your account and should be able to get them from there.

No, the MAC address, the unique set of letters and numbers that identify the network interface in the device, will not help you, or anyone else, locate a stolen iPad. If you didn't set up Find My iPad on the device before it was stolen, then there will be no way to track it. The police typically will only want the serial number of the stolen items so they can identify them should they manage to find the thief.
If none of the methods suggested by the others - receipts, iTunes, registration with Apple, packaging - can provide you the serial number, then there's no way you can obtain that information

If you have your iPhone backed up in iTunes, you can get the serial number from there.
Open iTunes on your computer. Go to iTunes > Preferences (on a Mac) or File > Preferences (on a PC). Click the "Devices" tab. Hover your cursor over the iPhone backup row and you can see the serial number there.

Can't find serial number - Aperture 3

Hello,
I reset my mac back to factory settings and now wish to reinstall my Aperture 3 .. But I cannot find the serial number anywhere.
I think I may have registered it on the site when I bought it, but I see from looking on the forum that you can't apparantely access this information anymore, so I stopped looking.
The instruction booklets in the box don't have any serial numbers printed on the backs, which would be an easy place to put them, so now I have this software and can't use it anymore?
Can anyone advise how I can get into this application?

Thanks for your replies.
I checked everywhere inside the box but there is no info there - a few booklets, that's all - so I think the original SN must have been on a separate bit of paper somewhere and I have just lost the thing. I bought it in Geneva, Switzerland so I guess it must differ between countries. I should have been more careful !
I will use the link that Leonie supplied - thanks very much - and try to find the original purchase date somehow, or perhaps go into the Apple store and see what they can do for me - I've got all the original packaging etc so I'm obviously not trying to get a hacked copy, perhaps they can help me in the store once they see I am a bona fide customer

Can't find serial number on my Powerbook G4

I cannot find the serial number on my Powerbook G4 titanium!! I got it from a friend that works at Apple and it wasn't a retail model. There is not serial number inside the battery compartment, nor one listed in the "About this Mac" section???? Please help! Is there any other place to find this number, maybe inside the computer itself?
Also, I just bought a new replacement battery for this. My old model number is A1012 and the new one I bought is A1148. Will this new one work on my Powerbook??

Hi, scz, and welcome to Apple Discussions. Powerbooks that have been factory-refurbished or had their logic boards replaced by Apple commonly (or always?) have their battery-compartment serial number labels removed and don't display a serial number in System Profiler. They become "odd ducks" forever.
In a Tibook in original condition, a small label on top of the white RAM bracket on the logic board bears the serial number of the logic board (In Tibooks, it often starts with "QT"). If the board isn't a replacement, that number matches the original Powerbook serial number that is (or was) on the label inside the battery compartment. I don't know whether or not the RAM bracket label is also removed when a LB is replaced. Release your keyboard, flip it back onto the wrist rests, and have a look at your RAM bracket. The label, if you have one, is underneath the normal position of the spacebar.
I don't believe an A1148 battery will fit in a Titanium Powerbook. Are its size, shape and contacts exactly like your A1012? If they are different, it's of no use to you.
If it does fit, or if it doesn't fit but you can't return it to the vendor, you should be aware that some A1148s are subject to a product recall and should not be used:
