Well, it seems to work OK with the exception of the no performance pack.
However if its not supported when will the Linux version be available as I
don't want to buy sparc boxes just to develop with the beta., even though
our target production platforms are intel and sparc.

We do not support Solaris on Intel for any version, including version
6.0.
The platform support page for WebLogic Server is located at:

This page has the latest and greatest information on the platforms that
WebLogic is certified and supported on.

Solaris v10 sparc jumpstart server on x86 solaris - can't find miniroot.
I am trying to setup a jumpstart install server on an x86 solaris v10 machine to do a sparc network install. I downloaded both the CD and DVD sparc v10 ISO's. When I mount the CD, the Solaris_10/Tools/Boot directory (miniroot system) is symlinked back to ../../../s1 which does exist. I can't find it on the CD, I've used prtvtoc and this slice does not seem to exist.
On the DVD iso, the directoy exists, but many files cannot be read, almost like the filesystem is corrupt.
I've download these ISO and burned them many times, so I know it's not an issue with hardware or the CD/DVD media.
Where can I download a working sparc solaris v10 miniroot system? There is no such entry under solaris. This entry only exist on windows.
On solaris you need to change entries in the kjs script (prior to SP3)
or iasenv.ksh (after SP3)

Can not find solaris 64 9.0.1.5 patch for repository installation
Hi,
I found in oracle10gAS installation guide that I need to apply patch 9.0.1.5 or later in order to use an existing oracle 9 database for my repository. The problem is that I can not find oracle db 9.0.1.5 patch for solaris 64bit. The latest patch for solaris 64 is 9.0.1.4. Does anyone know if I can use the 9.0.1.4 patch or where I can find 9.0.1.5?
9.0.1.5 only exists for solaris 32 versions.
ThanksHi giorgio santandrea,
I am also facing the same error, could please tell me how you resolved that error?
Thanks & regards,

Where can I find Oracle 8i intel solaris ver.?
I installed intel-solaris on my PC. and I need to install oracle DB for study,
but I can't find it. Should I buy oracle 8i?
Thanks for your help.I got Oracle8i, I believe 8.1.5, from Sun as a part of the package, when I got my Solaris8 for Intel.
I had to go to the Oracle Store to get Oracle8i 8.1.7. (http://oraclestore.oracle.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=11539)
I ordered the CD Pack.
Sorry I do not know where it can be downloaded. -
Where can i find the downloadable for C++ on Solaris 8 and 10?
Hello Guys,
Where can i find the downloadable for C++ on Solaris 8 and 10?
Thanks in advance.
SatishAlbeit Sun Studio 12 doesn't support Solaris 8, while Sun Studio 11 does, you would probably want to use 12's IDE during development process, so give it a try. You can use compilers from Sun Studio 11 (stable version already available) together with IDE/debugger from Sun Studio 12 (EA available for download and stable version on its way).

Where can I find oci805jdbc library for Solaris?
I am trying to use the Oracle oci driver on Solaris and am

and could only find liboci804jdbc.so but this won't work. Where
can I find the one for 8.0.5?

nullHi,
If you are using Solaris8 then international versions of Solaris8 has the CD labeled Solaris8 Languages. This CD contains required packages for Asian locale.
I would recommend you to visit http://docs.sun.com for more information.
In earlier versions, Asian CD contains all packages for Asian locale.

Problem with "Unreferenced Symbol", phase 3, Can't find dependent libraries
now that I got every thing to work on Solaris, see my previous thread,
I'm bound to move on to Windows.
I can compile and link my C++ code but when it comes to execution I get an {color:#ff0000}<strong>UnsatisfiedLinkError</strong>{color}, complaining that it {color:#ff0000}<strong>Can't find dependent libraries</strong>{color}.
I am printing out the java.library.path property before loading my lib and it has the necessary path to all my libs in it.
Here my 2 questions:
1.what do I need to do to get this to work on Windows?
2.is it mandatory that dependent libraries are also .dll's on Windows (the library my native code needs is a .lib)?
Thomasunfortunately, the exception does not say, what is missing:
Exception in thread "Thread-6" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: I:\IcsBCM\Spectru

at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)the DLL dependency walker shows me, that my DLL depends on LIBGLOBL.DLL, which indeed does not exist.
So the big question is: why does my DLL reference this DLL?
Following the output of gmake (compilation and linkage):gmake -f Makefile.i386

Creating library CronSpec.lib and object CronSpec.expas can be seen, I'm linking with a library called *libGlobl.{color:#ff0000}lib{color}* (since it contains the C++ code I want to wrap).
But why/how is this turned into a reference to *libGlobl.{color:#ff0000}dll{color}?*
