Can't find solution to fixing ipod, please help! :)

my ipod randomly froze and then turned off with about 3/4 battery the other day
after trying to restart it, it simply flashed between the apple logo and then the screen with the sad ipod icon and the link to apple support
it does not respond to any attempts to restart it, whether or not set up to charge,it only flashes these two images back and forth.
it only responds to the usb cable charge, not the outlet charger - and through that it puts up the 'charging icon' but it is stationary and doesn't seem to be actually charging the ipod - i left it there for several hours with no effect
also, itunes and the my pc won't recognize it.
is this a battery issue or maybe something someone else's ipod went through that they know the solution to?

I had the same problem. It was because I had maxed out my iPod's capacity. Once I deleted some things off my iPod to free up space I was able to drag my songs onto my iPod without any problem. Good luck. Hope this solves your problem.

Updated iTunes and now can't remove songs from my iPod - please help

I've updated iTunes to version 11.0.0.163 and have an iPod Nano 16gb 5th generation.
In iTunes, I'm no longer able to manually select songs to remove them from my iPod - I can't even see the list of music that's on my iPod. The only option it gives me is to sync, and I don't want to do that. Before I upgraded iTunes, it was easy to move music between my iPod and iTunes, now I can't - what's happened?
My iPod is full so I want to remove some music, not all of it. Any advice? Please help - I'm going round in circles!

itunes will now look more like itunes 10.
You can click on your device in the lefthand window as before
You may prefer to use the Music Sync page to select or deselect Playlists, Artists, Albums etc and click apply.
Delete your files is enabled by ticking the Manualy manage music option on the Device Summary page. You may have to scroll down to find it

Not unless they were saved somewhere on your computer. You can check the Time Machine if that storage has been used and wasn't reset as well.

N80. I can´t find IE fw update. Please help!

My fw version is v.4.0623.0.42 and I´d like to update it to N80 IE v.4.0632.0.38 but nokia software updater says that my fw is up to date.
So which way is possible to update to IE version? Or where can I find that update file?

It sounds like your problem is that your network hasn't released their version of the firmware - I'm on Voda UK and I have the same version of firmware you do.
The way this works is Nokia develop a firmware upgrade. They release this to SIM-free customers and to the networks.
The networks SHOULD then apply their customisations -- branding / pre-configuration of network services like sms, voicemail etc / removal of some features -- to the firmware and then pass this revised firmware back to Nokia who make it available to NSU and the service centres.
Unfortunately, some networks are not so good at doing their bit - voda and o2 are probably the worst offenders in the UK. Orange are not far behind.
There is no legal way for you to get your firmware upgraded unless and until it your network releases it. Any illegal ways will void your warranty.

Can't update or restore my ipod - please help

It only seems that i can synch my ipod when i plug it in when windows loads up. Itunes automatically loads up and my ipod synchs. But then if later i want to synch again as i have added new stuff it won't. When i try to restore it to the factory settings to try and resolve it my ipod dissapears from the list and it says restoring my ipod but nothing happens. The progress bar just goes across forever and my ipod comes out of the do not disconnect mode and i can disconnect it. Any ideas on how i can restore it please???

ITunes can't find episode on server! PLEASE HELP! :)

I am a teacher publishing using Podcast Maker to create the podcast and feed, and it published fine to our school server. However, when in iTunes, if you try to get an episode, you get the message "The URL (http://96.4.32.37/podcasts/testclip.mov ) could not be found on this server." The file is there, so I am not sure what the problem is. Thanks for any help you all can provide!!!

If you type the URL into a browser you also get the 'not found' error. It would probably better to use the domain name rather than IP number, but it's more likely that you have some discrepancy between the URL and the actual file name or location.

If you are trying to update your iPod, then all you need to do is have the latest version of iTunes installed and plug it in. It will check of any updates if they are available and update your iPod. I have also provided the User Guide for your model of iPod as well.

HELLO! I have an Ipod Touch thats 32 gb, and its the really old one without the camera. ( im sorry i dont know which generation it is, but i bought it in 2010. ) Anyways, I've had this Ipod for almost 3 years now, and it still works pretty good. The thing im really worried about is that recently, my Ipod has started to overheat, meaning when i touch it, its almost burning. This happens when I charge it, or when I play games on it while charging the Ipod. When i remove the charger, it stops burning/overheating and goes back to normal. Why does this keep happening? Also, what can I do to stop it? please help!!!

J.K. ROFLing is correct. It is normal for the iPod to get quire warm when charging and during heavy use.. If concerned make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
