Can't find the ldif2ldbm command and SUNWconn package?

I can not I find the ldif2ldbm command. It looks like the command is part of SUNWconn package.
Any idea?

The ldif2ldbm command was a utility for the old SIMS (Sun Internet Messaging System) software package. Are you currently running SIMS in your environment?
Are you using the Directory Server that came with Sol9? If yes, then use the ldif2dbm command that I mentioned earlier. Also, download and read the Sun/iplanet ONE/Java Directory Server Administration Guide at http://docs.sun.com/ . There's also a DS reference manual and LDAP migration guide, both are invaluable.

When I use the burn/dodge tool sometimes it drags and staggers and takes forever to complete whatever I'm burning/dodging. When I try to delete an image from the dock, it won't disappear but it won't display either.
Any help would be appreciated.

The Central Cache is the Bridge Cache.
It's referred as the Central Cache to differentiate it from the individual folder's cache or even the individual image cache.

Where can I find the current time and date of Time Capsule?

I have a home network consisint of 2 x Time Capsules and 1 x Airport Express. All is working fine. I would like to set up access control for one machine connecting to the network and I can see I can do this under Access Control on the Airport Utility. My question is where can I find the current time and date setting for these devices?
I can set them to use the time.apple.com server to set the time automatically, but I can't find where to see the current time and date of the device. The only place I can see reference to the time and date is on the logs and statistics under the Advanced tab of the AirPort Untility.

I don't think you can change the time and date on the TC itself, it just connects to a time server (and you set your own time zone).

I have to restart mail most times before it starts recieving or recognizes the pop server.

Try pressing the <esc> (Escape) key.
If <esc> doesn't clear your full screen, restart your Mac. When you launch Safari after the restart, the normal sized window should open.
BTW, three finger double tap applies to trackpads. From your responses, I infer that you are not using a trackpad. However, if you are using a wireless mouse (or other wireless pointing device), low batteries in the device might be causing your inability to control your view.

If LR5 in Sweden is similar to other Adobe products the US, the serial number would be on a sticker on the DVD sleeve or a separate card insert in the inner-most box that contained the DVD sleeve. Your pictures do not show any serial number, so you were sold a LR copy without one, somehow.
Especially if your packaging wasn't shrink-wrapped, I'd guess that someone took the original DVD sleeve with the serial number and substituted one without a serial number.

I can't find the qtmedia command

I am new to using Mac OS Server, but I have been tasked with setting up a Quick Time Streaming Server on a Mac Mini Server running Mac OS X Server 10.6. During my reading of the QTSS Setup Manual it refered to the command qtmedia to manulate quick time files. I wanted to explorer and possible use this tool to help me get files ready for streaming, but I can't find the command to run it.
Where is this file located and how do I access it? Thanks in advanced for the help. -Dave

The Quicktime Streaming Server Manual refers to the command, but all it says is to run it to find out more. I am dissapointed that the command is missing and that I can't find out anything more about it. My guess is that it is a legacy command that was dropped awhile back and the documentation was never updated. I would like a tool that would streamline the creation of compatable media for streaming, so I hope apple comes up with replacement or addition documentation or tools, but I am not holding my breath. -Dave

Depending on the version of SAP you are using, you can trace this via:
1. STAD.
2. SM20. But proper config should be maintained via SM19.

I used to have iPhone 4 and now I have an iPhone 5S iCloud restored everything but whatsapp and now I can install it as it says it's already installed but I can't find the icon anywhere and I have searched the phone but uselessly !!? Please help I need it

Did you try:
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.
If so then could be a hardware problem sinc it also says:
If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.

Safari can't find the server OVER and OVER and OVER

I just purchased a 2013 Macbook Air last week. It is running the latest version (Mavericks). I planned to migrate from Google Chrome as my primary browser to Safari.
However, approximately 1 in 8 websites I visit come back with the error "Safari can't find the server." These same websites show up fine in Chrome and other browsers.
I have used past answers on here to try and fix things. So far I have:
-Ensured the websites work in other browsers
-Turned off any firewall
-Turned off any extensions
-Erased history and deleted cache
-Restarted computer and Safari
-Changed just about every Safari setting under preferences
-Unchecked any proxies in Network settings
-Reset my wi-fi router
None of these things have fixed the problem or reduced the number of times the error message is displayed.
I have no antivirus or mac cleaner crap on my computer, so that shouldn't be interferring.
Also, these are not some strange foreign websites I'm trying to access; these are things like Tumblr, USPS.com, eBay, Audible, etc. Heck, even the discussions.apple.com has not been found once or twice.
Is this a normal thing for Safari to suck or have I missed something that might fix it? Because at the moment I'm going to go back to Chrome and pack Safari away.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

If you have bought a second-hand iPhone and the previous owner has locked it, only he can unlock it as indicated in the Help page you came here from. If you cannot contact him you will be unable to use the phone; there is no way round this.

Can't access songs in iTunes. There are exclamation marks on about half of my library. When I try to play them I get: "Can't find the file" notice and iTunes asks me to locate each song. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

I had not opened my iTunes in weeks. When I opened it today, most of the songs in my library had exclamation marks beside them and when I clicked on them got the message: "the song could not be used because the original file cannot be found", then asks me if I want to locate it. When I press "locate" tab I am led to iTunes folders and have to hunt around for the song. Some songs I can't find in the folders. Any ideas as to why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?
Help would be much appreciated.

The problem of tracks becoming de-linked between iTunes and the music files in your iTunes music folder happens for different reasons - this seems to come up fairly commonly in this forum.
The solution can be to locate each song in the iTunes library, as you mentioned - or, but wait, before I get to that...
trouble finding the original track in your iTunes music folder? maybe look for it under compilations, or if not using the 'group compilations preference' then look in the folder under the songs artist name, but what song artist name iTunes uses depends on what you have in the metedata tag spot for album artist or song artist. Any varyation in artist name spelling, in the menu item 'get info' metadata for any selected individual track will cause iTunes to create that as a separate artist folder in the library, even names like 'various' or any difference at all (even the word 'the' can change where in your iTunes music folder a track gets placed by iTunes). You can try to use the finder function of find file (finder munu item outside of iTunes) to locate hard to find items.
Back to how to re-link any de-linked tracks .
There may be scripts that can help re-link de-linked music files - or, at least provide you a list of such files, Scripts are easy to install and use...
