Can't find the onekey recovery in my thinkpad yoga?

I need to backup my system after all the new installation but somehow can't find the onekey recovery in the new thinkpad yoga. Why the thinkpad yoga doesn't come with onekey recovery?
Also I downloaded and installed onekey recovery version 8.0.0.1219 but when I tried the system backup it said "Current system can not support back up". Am I missing something here? Has anyone able to back up their thinkpad yoga?
Any information will be appreciated.

    Sorry, but you cant use the recovery disk from the A60. It will not work.
    You can order a new recovery disk from Toshiba:

    Or you go to an ASP (authorized service provider) to get a new one:

    You can also use an original Microsoft disk, but there you must install all drivers manual and this takes a lot of time.

  • Satellite A300 - I can't find the recovery disk creator

    Hi everybody!
    Need some help with my Satellite A300. I lost the optical recovery disc I burned when the laptop was new. Now when I'm trying to burn a new recovery disc I can't find the Recovery Disc Creator - not on the desktop or in the Start meny. I still have the folder with all the recovery files left - a folder named HDDRecovery with size 4.5 GB. The problem is to find out how to burn the disc.

    F8 will works just if you didnt change anything with first partition and if you still use factory settings.
    "Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator" cannot be gone for no reason. Either you have removed it from the system or you have installed own Vista OS.
    I don't want to speculate why you cannot use F8 anymore but fact is that for new Vista installation you need recovery DVD.

    not sure, what exactly the description should tell me, but I guess, that your scenario is like this:
    - you captured some RnR backup
    - made some changes to the system
    - restored the backup
    and now the changes, that you have mde afte the backup was captured are gone.
    If this is your case, then this is a correct situation.
    The backup will restore the whole system back to the stage, as you selected, while it will remove/modify the packages, that have been changed/created  after the time, when the backup was captured.
    In the stage, where you have restored the system, you had the chance to save some files, but as it looks, this did not happened.
    Please correct me if I understod it wrongly.

  • Shrink ... goes the OneKey Recovery

    1.  After 'service packing' Vista and updating drivers etc. on my new U330, I tried to create Recovery disks.  No Go ... the stock (30 Gig) D: drive was too small  ... it needed 35 or 40 Gig ... and OneKey didn't want to create a recovery image directly to DVD.  OK, **bleep**etaboutit, I thought ... I can always 'recover' back to the factory image ... or so they claim.
    2.  To try 64 bit Ubuntu, I used Vista disk management "Shrink" - to shrink the 250 Gig C drive and free some 'unallocated' space for a Linux partition.  When I, later, tried to run OneKey Recovery, it 'ran' for 4+ hours - while I pondered just how long and slow could a DOS program be at low-level formatting a 320 Gig drive.  Finally, I pulled the plug ... and tried, again.  Come to find out, since I Shrink-repartitioned (even though I was careful not to delete the'hidden' partition or touch the {useless} 30 Gig D: partition) ... No Go from OneKey Recovery 6.
    Now, I gut nuttin ... except Ubuntu/Linux.  Wouldn't it have been SWEET if that Lenovo OneTouch Recovery book pointed out that if you re-partition in any way, you kiss off OneTouch Recovery?
    Now, I realize that the HUGE (?) cost of an operating system image DVD may be behind the OneKey Recovery.  I, also, realize that Microsoft shenannigans make everyone's life miserable ... lest they lose a license dollar, somewhere.  Whether a customer paid for a license or not, inconveniencing customers makes no difference to Microsoft; customer service is just for their marketing blurbs - not anything to live by.  Still, if the cost of an image or source operating system DVD is so great, why can't Lenovo let us download the .iso image and make our own DVD ... and use the license, that we paid for, on the bottom of the computer?
    ok, enough venting ... it feels good - even if it won't improve our (microsoft) world.

    For example, I posted an article on a news site, but found that only a small part of my article was posted.

    I'm not sure whether Firefox saved that information. There is a chance that it is in the session history file, especially if you haven't closed that tab yet. To check that:
    Open your currently active Firefox settings folder (AKA your Firefox profile folder) using
    Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
    Find all files starting with the name sessionstore and copy them to a safe working location (e.g., your documents folder). In order to read a .js file, it is useful to rename it to a .txt file. Or you could drag it to Wordpad or your favorite word processing software.
    The script will look somewhat like gibberish, but if you search for a word in your article that doesn't normally appear in web pages, you may be able to find your data.
    Any luck?

    Going to get a new hard drive, my local store said if I could provide the install code for Mountain Lion that they would only charge me $20 to install the OS on the HD.  How can I find the install code when I purchased it.  I bought it Nov. 2012. 

    That's only applicable if you got Mountain Lion through the now-discontinued free upgrade program and haven't redeemed the code for it.
    If you bought it from the Mac App Store or have redeemed a download code for it, log into it with the Apple ID and password associated with that copy of it, click on the Purchases tab, and redownload it from there.
    If you got it with a new Mac, start it up with the Command and R keys held down and reload it from the recovery partition.

    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer

    See if you can boot into safe mode by holding down the shift key immediately after pressing the start button. Keep holding the shift key till a loading progress bar appears on the lower part of the screen. It will take a lot longer than normal to start this way. If you have Lion 10.7 installed you can try holding command-R  keys to get intto recovery mode and run disk utility.
