If you are using a mac, you use iphoto.
If you are on windows, you use whatever camera software windows uses.
Itunes does not import photos.

Help ! I can't find the "field" tab for an object in the library

Just starting out with the software. I want to place a text box that spans several lines and "allow multiple lines" in a form I am building. The only problem is I can't find the field tab for the text box object. The only two tabs I have at the top of the object library is "Object Library" and "Fragment Library"
What am I missing?

Click on the Object Library. Below that there shoudl be three libraries (My Favorites, Standard and Custom). The Textfield is in the Standard library. If all else false you can use the Insert Menu and then choose standard from there.

Nternal ERROR: Can not find the ACL containter for object ...

We are using OWB 10.2.0.3. We tried to introduce two basic roles to prevent user A from accessing certain parts of our project. Somehow (I cannot really say how) we ended up in the error message below whenever we want to modify the security properties of an object.
Neither in metalink nor in the oracle forums I could find any hint about that error.
Can anyone help??

Like you I get this error and do not know what steps caused it.In my scenario I have some mappings that give the error and some that do not - the repository user gets the error but the repository owner does not.
Thinking back over the last number of months (as this project contains 7-8 months od work - we do have exports of the project) I think the ones giving the error are those that perhaps were copied from another to start the coding but I cannot be sure.
I have read the metalink note mentioned above as well as the the queries posted by Oleg and yourself. The queries posted are slightly different, one has a where clause
fco.classname = 'CMPACLContainer' (Maren's)
and the other
fco.classname='CMPMap' (Oleg's).
Was this intentional Maren on your behalf for your problem to be fixed?
We are using 10.2.0.3.33 OWB client and 10.2.0.3.0 OWB repository.

You cannot drag the effects themselves to the timeline. You add them to a clip in the Viewer, just as you have done.
If the clip was already in the timeline when you opened it in the Viewer (by double-clicking it in the timeline to open it in the Viewer) and then added the reverb effect, there is nothing further to do, you have added the effect to the clip. You don't drag it back to the timeline.
You only have to drag the clip to the timeline if the clip was not already in the timeline (for example, if you opened the clip from the FCE Browser; or set different In and Out points in a master clip to use a different portion of the master clip in a different location in your timeline).
Depending on the effect you add, you may have to render the timeline after adding the effect. But I don't think reverb requires immediate rendering. One other note, you said you were working with an audio clip ... audio clips need to be AIFF (not MP3 or something else) and preferably 16-bit stereo.

Under the Window menu you can activate any of the palettes that you want. In your case the Field tab is under the Object palette

I just bought a x-fi fatalty. All drivers was installed.
However when I tried to set the spdif passthru to an external AV amp, I can't find the decoder tab in the audio console windows as shown in below screen capture I found on the web.

Hi adrianmak?If you use spdif don?t need X-Fi decoder, when use spdif you send signal to a external decoder. Digital Connections, SPDIF and Dolby Digital Info[/b] ?Movies wth Dolby Digital (AC3) & DTSMovies on DVD often use encoded?audio in the form of Dolby Digital (AC3) or DTS. This means that all 6 channels are compressed into a single stream of digital data. A decoder is required to extract the channels and send the sound to the correct speakers. There are three ways to do this.
) Pass the AC3/DTS signal to a external decoder. This is where your optical/coax connection is used. To?go down this route, you must first have a?set of speakers or a decoder that?supports Dolby Digital.
In your DVD software, select 'SPDIF' as the audio output method and 'SPDIF Pass-through' in?your?soundcard options. What this does is?tells both the software and soundcard to leave the audio from the DVD in compressed form and send it straight through the digital outputs. Your?digital speakers/receiver will do all the decoding to give you full surround sound.
Please note that this?is the only way to get 6 channels through an optical/coax cable.
2) Decode the AC3/DTS with your Sound Blaster.?You should choose this option if?you don't have an external decoder. In the DVD software, select 'SPDIF' as the audio output method and make sure that 'SPDIF Pass-through' in the souncard options is?off. The DVD software will now pass the compressed audio to your soundcard, which will then decode the data. The soundcard will output the 6 channels using the?analogue connections (or digital DIN, more on this later). If you try?to use a digital optical/coax connection to your speakers, you will only hear faint sounds from the front left/right speakers.
3) Decode the AC3/DTS with software.?If you have a soundcard that doesn't support Dolby Digital (like the SB Li've! 24-bit) and you don't have digital speakers, the only way for you to get surround sound in movies is to use software to decode the AC3/DTS. The free versions of DVD software you get with hardware often don't support this feature,? you will most likely need a full version. First select 'Dolby Digital' or 'DTS' decoding in the DVD software audio options (you must select the right?sound format for the movie you are watching). Then make sure that 'SPDIF Pass-through' in the soundcard options is off. why does Itunes say it can't find the original file for a particular song? and then asks if I want to locate it? I can't access a bunch of old song files. any new cds are available to me in itunes. all others are not accessible. how do i merge the new cd's with the old ones so that all the songs are playable in Itunes. thanks.

I've never run across this particular error (my library is stored on my internal hard drive, but copied to an external for backup purposes with an application other than iTunes or Finder. I don't think Apple will provide acknowledgment to issues experienced only by very small numbers of people... I'm one of those, perhaps foolish, individuals who allows my computer to download updates immediately, rather than waiting for fear of problems, and again, I've never had this error.

I can't find the effects tab!

I'm using 10.0.1 Garageband and need to change the pitch of my voice to make it lower! I can't find the effects tab no matter what I do! Where can I add and edit custom effects? In the previous GB I could just go to Info then Effects. I can't find this to save my life. Can anyone help me?

The AuPitch filter is really versatile, but you may need toadjust the Formant as well. Then you need to use a patch for your vocal track that has a vocal transformer.
You will find the old GrarageBand patches with predefined filters and track effects in the "Legacy" section of the GarageBand Instrument library.
If you use the patch "Legacy > GarageBand > Vocals > Deeper Vocals" you will see a Vocal Transformer, if you open the Smart Controls for thee Track. There you can adjust the Pitch and the Formant.

hi all,
I have a report which i need to burst in seven different reports wherein my delivery key is column "emp_id". Now when i schedule the report to burst then the report completes with a warning. I see that there are various delivery cycles for the report and for one of the cycles i get the following message

hence, what happens due to this is, even there are successful deliveries for other delivery ids but then i get only two rows of data in each of the seven bursted ouput xls files. wheareas the data runs in thousands of rows for each cycle.
Hence whats happening is, that due to error /warning in one of the delivery cycles other reports are also not showing data.
I am not sure whats causing the issue and why i am not getting complete bursted files out.

in the latest release 10.1.3.4.1, there are more enhancement wrto bursting and performance i believe.
