When I sync my music iTunes cancels the operation, the songs are copied but most of them are grey and I can't play them HELP PLEASE !!!!

SInce you already did it, make sure you have nothing but the keyboard/mouse dongle plugged in and do NOT connect to the internet via wired or wireless and redo a full System Recovery, that should resolve this since something died midway in the last recovery.

Okay, so I've been working on this for two days, I even checked every possible answer ever on this website and nothing helped. I've been trying to sync new music for forever now, but it gets stuck at step 5 (or even step 1 sometimes) and does absolutely nothing. My new tracks won't sync into my iPhone 4, and the old tracks I want to delete stay on there. (Yes, I know I can delete them on my phone, I've tried, but everytime I sync it again, they go back onto my phone.) Also, the music that I bought (that I don't want anymore because I was young and stupid) don't want to delete as well, even on my phone. It's been like this since iTunes 11 and iOS7. I am getting reallllllly frustrated, to the point that I want to break down into tears and/or break stuff into my house. What to do??? Please help, I am really desperate! I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

hello ptbruce, you probably only selected to open (not save) the video which will download it into windows temporary folder where it gets deleted again after it has been used. <br>you could try to right-click the entry in the firefox download manager and copy the link of the source file and try if you can download it through this url again. otherwise you'll have to contact the vendor of the video to find a solution...

Can't Finish Sync to 3rd Gen iPod

I have a 3rd Gen 15 GB iPod. My problem is that I can't finish syncing the iPod because I have a laptop with 4-pin Firewire, so the iPod battery dies in the middle of syncing to iTunes. When I look at the iPod only three songs have been transfered even though iTunes transfered nearly 1,000. When I reconnect the iPod (after fully charging it) it starts syncing again from the beginning. How can I transfer all my songs to my iPod without it dying? Can I send them incrementally? While connected to my computer I think my battery lasts for less than an hour. Thanks for any advice you may have.

The key is to get power to the iPod while it's syncing. What you can do is to use a powered firewire hub. Basically, this hub will connect to the computer and to the iPod and to power. It will provide power to the iPod while it talks to the PC.
Can't find a powered firewire hub for cheap? Look for an unpowered one with 3 or more ports instead. You can connect the AC Adapter that the iPod came with to one of the other firewire ports on the hub and turn that unpowered hub into a powered one. I used this exact method with my laptop with 4-pin firewire for quite a long time. Works great.

Reset the device:

Signing into the iTunes account has never made content magically appear... it still amazes me that people think this will actually work.
Type "move itunes library" into the search bar or your favorite search engine. You'll find multiple results for how to move the iTunes library.

My computer had to be taken to the shop last week and the whole system had to be wiped and recovered. I forgot to tell them there was another file I wanted saved so I lost a lot of my music.
I managed to download the free version of touchcopy and get my music back on to itunes. The music that I lost comes up with a question mark and wont play on itunes but is in ipod and plays fine. Is there anyway I can get the original files of these songs on to my computer as I cant make playlists or anything with these songs?
Also in my ipod a few of the playlists have been screwed up and there are about 5-6 versions of 90s music, recently added etc that have nothing in them. Is there anyway to get rid of them?
My main problem now is that itunes wont sync the new music that Ive just added (it wasnt on the ipod before). When i plug my ipod into my computer itunes tells me "sync is complete" and it also shows up with "do not disconnect" on my computer. How do I sync this music on to my ipod??

I know that sounds so obvious, but I can't figure out how. There are six folders in the iTunes Media folder. Under advanced preferences there's a box that says iTunes Media Folder location with a "change" or "reset" option. What do I change it to? I tried the reset option, but nothing changed. I was hoping it would magically get all my stuff in order but it didn't. I was scared to try the change option. Most of my library is also in my iPhone and iPad and in the right folders/places and I'm scared to sync them with my Mac because I don't want them all screwed up. And the syncing through iDisc on my Mac isn't working because it can't find my iTunes Media folder and the six folders/documents in it.
I'd appreciate a step-by-step if possible. Literally. I've been using computers for years and my Mac for a little over a year and never had problems with it until this. I also noticed that several times in iTunes help it says " don't change the folder name or location for iTunes Media." duh. Read that too late.

Why can't I sync my music automatically anymore to my iPhones ?

I've got two iPhone 4's. Something has happened in the settings so that I can no longer "automaticall" sync my music.I'll select the albums and artists I want to sync and then press sync and it never transfers my selections. I can sync my music to our iPads with no problem. I believe this problem occured after I did a restore on thr phones because they were both having weired problems. I figure it has to be a setting but I can't figure it out. I've had iPones for years but can't figure this out. Please help!

I restart my phone and computer, then it let me sync. If you have same problem try this, it might work.

Hi guys, I recently downloaded the new version of iTunes, and now cannot sync music, apps or books to either my iphone or ipad. iTunes recongnises the devices, but when I select data to sync across and click sync, nothing happens.

I had a similar problem only neither my iPad nor my iPhone would sync and I was getting error 1106.
I looked it up and it said delete the iphoto cache, which I did and I also turned of syncing photos.
Now when I turn on SYNC PHOTOS FROM, the choice of Select albums........ is greyed out and cannot be clicked.
I don't want to sync my entire set of photos.
