Can't Finish Syncing To iTunes

Hey Folks-
Ever since I downloaded 1.1.1, my iPhone won't finish syncing to iTunes. It kind of just hangs while trying to sync. And, it happens in the same place every time (syncing contacts). Is there anyone here who can give me a tip or let me know what I can do so that I can sync up to iTunes as I have lots of music that I've downloaded from the iTunes WiFi Store (which is totally cool and quick as h-e-double-hockey-sticks). Thanks!!

Can't Finish Sync to 3rd Gen iPod

I have a 3rd Gen 15 GB iPod. My problem is that I can't finish syncing the iPod because I have a laptop with 4-pin Firewire, so the iPod battery dies in the middle of syncing to iTunes. When I look at the iPod only three songs have been transfered even though iTunes transfered nearly 1,000. When I reconnect the iPod (after fully charging it) it starts syncing again from the beginning. How can I transfer all my songs to my iPod without it dying? Can I send them incrementally? While connected to my computer I think my battery lasts for less than an hour. Thanks for any advice you may have.

The key is to get power to the iPod while it's syncing. What you can do is to use a powered firewire hub. Basically, this hub will connect to the computer and to the iPod and to power. It will provide power to the iPod while it talks to the PC.
Can't find a powered firewire hub for cheap? Look for an unpowered one with 3 or more ports instead. You can connect the AC Adapter that the iPod came with to one of the other firewire ports on the hub and turn that unpowered hub into a powered one. I used this exact method with my laptop with 4-pin firewire for quite a long time. Works great.

With iOS8.1 I can no longer sync MAC iTunes playlists to my iPhone. Purchased new song with iTunes and it is on my MAC but will not update to iPhone when I sync!

When I sync (as usual) with my iPhone, the playlist no longer updates to include the new song (i.e., playlist stuck at 16 not 17 songs)... yes, all devices are authorized... If I turn on HOME SHARING it will work, but the moment you disconnect, everything goes away... What is APPLE doing?

Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!

My iPad says when i try to download a movie that i don't have enough memory, but when I check I have plenty for the movie and more. What can I do? Also, I can't completely sync to iTunes, when i try it waits at waiting for items to copy forever.

Delete some stuff to make room on the device.
iCloud is not local storage and has nothing to do with your situation.

Hi,
I updated (iPhone 4) to new iPhone OS (7.0.3) and now it wont finish syncing in iTunes 11.1.2
I wind up having to just unplug the phone.
Also - everytime I plug the phone into computer, it asks me if I should trust this computer and I say yes - but it asks every time.
Also a flag pops up saying it cant connect to an apple server. (???)
(I am running Snow Leopard)

You have to update to 10.6.8 first.

IPod touch won't finish syncing on iTunes

My ipod touch won't finish syncing. it's been on step 7 of 7 forever... it's a third generation itouch and the version of itunes is 10.6, the latest version.

First, try to reset the iPod by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again.
See if you can sync after that.
Are you syncing podcasts as well? If yes, try without selecting podcasts, or delete the podcasts on the device before you sync.

I just updated my iPad 3 to ios 7.02 and can no longer sync with iTunes on my computer running OS 10.5.8. I'm wary about updating to Lion, which may cause any number of apps on my computer to no longer work. Although I may consider purchasing a new laptop

I just updated my iPad to IOS 7.02 and unfortunately can no longer sync with my MacBook running OS 10.5.8. I'm wary about updating to Lion as this may cause any number of apps on my Macbook not to work at all or malfunction. Also my MacBook is 5 years old, and I was thinking about purchasing a new computer. I would like to decide when rather than be forced though. Does anyone have any suggestions for a work around? At the moment I do not subscribe to the cloud, and it looks like that is the only way I can back up my iPad now.

Snow Leopard is required if you wanted to upgrade to Lion, anyway, which you may want to in the future if the latest version of iTunes no longer supports Snow Leopard.

After upgrading to Imac updating Iphone and Ipad I can no longer sync in Itunes

I have newly upgraded to IMac and love it! I also traded in my IPad to IPad Air and updated my IPhone from 4S to 5C. When I was using a Windows PC I had all my gadgets synced to ITunes (this includes a MacBook Pro and two IPods, Yes I'm hooked). Now I can no longer sync any of my gadgets to ITunes on the new IMac.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. 500+ items can not be synced with iTunes..?

After syncing with iTunes, my iPhone 5 says "514 items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information." Where on iTunes do I find this information? How do I know what is not syncing and figure out how to get it to sync? I'm confused...

I see now after the Sync, a !triangle appears next to my mini in iTunes. Clicking on it brings up a list. Sure would be nice to be able to Save that list, since I can't fix anything while that list is showing! And once you close it, the warnings disappear along with the triangle. I ended up using Grab to save the info.
Reset Warnings also makes the triangle go away. Along with all that info.

Why can't I sync my iTunes library from my MacBook Pro to my iPad Mini?

I have just updated my MacBook Pro with the latest iTunes, something I swore I would never do. But I had to do it in order to sync my iTunes library with my new iPad Mini. Unfortunately, after waiting 23 minutes for the software update, I STILL can't sync my music! The only songs I can see on my iPad Mini are songs I've purchased from the iTunes Store...all two of them. The remaining hundreds of songs simply don't show up. C'mon Apple, the reason I use a Mac platform is because it just always works, unlike MicroSucks. Is this what we can expect in a post-Jobs world...?

Click on your ipad in the upper right- this takes you to your summary page.
click on music tab at the top.
UNcheck all music and apply/sync.
When that is done, REcheck everything, and sync again. This usually works.

Can't finish syncing phone

I can't finish sycing phone. Get this message "ITunes was unable to load data class information from synd services" Any ideas?

You probably need to uninstall iTunes and all of its components as described in this guide: Windows XP, Windows Vista/7, then reinstall iTunes. You must follow this guide exactly or it will not be successful. (Uninstalling iTunes only removes the application, it does not touch your iTunes library or data.)

How can I safely sync to iTunes on a friend's computer and restore my phone without erasing all his stuff on his iTunes/iPhone?

I need to sync to iTunes in order for Apple to recognize my newly unlocked iPhone 4. I can't do it on my computer (not up to date, not enought time to upgrade OS), so need to do it on another MacBook.
So how do I do that without messing up my friend's iTunes and iPhone content?

You don't need to sync it, you need to restore it.
Back it up to iCloud. Have your friend create a new user account for you on their Mac. Log into the Mac with that user account. Plug in the phone. Restore the phone using iTunes (this will upgrade it to the current version). Restore the phone from your iCloud backup during the setup process.
