I finished downloading iTunes files, but still can't update apps on apple store, what else can I do?

1. Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music, Movies or iTune U. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.
2. Check for Updates (bottom right) in iTune. When download is completed, sync to iPad.

Can't finish update to ios 5.0.1

I was in the process of updating my iphone 4 software to ios 5.0.1 when I got an error message. My phone is stuck on the connect to itunes screen and I can't get it to connect even after I have restarted both phone and computer. What do I do?

For anyone with this same problem, I had to plug my iphone into another computer and restore it from there. I then could plug back into my computer and restore from my backup so I didn't lose any of my stuff. I still don't know what was wrong but it was a pain in the butt.

How do I finish updating my iPhone4 to iOS7 when it closed down during the process as I had it tethered to my computer and I assume the computer needed the internet to complete the process?

How can I finish updating my iPhone 4 to iOS7 when I had it tethered to my computer (computer using the connection from my phone) and during the updating process, when the phone restarts itself, I lose the internet connection (silly me, not thinking of this) and now it can't finish the process. Can I use a friends computer if I log into my iTunes account...as I downloaded it ok...just cant finish the update. Any ideas?

If this is the third time that this has happened to you, I don't blame you for being upset. On the other hand, after the second time, you should have learned the importance of backing up your iOS devices and apparently you didn't do that or you wouldn't be in such a panic.
You cannot downgrade the iOS, You have to restore your phone now and all of the contents will be erased. I think you know that though, and I think that you know that there is no way around it either.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Apple Software Update entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

We can't help you if you don't even know what you are installing. Never install anything if you do not know what it is. Installings through Software Update always have explanations which you should be reading to see if you actually need and/or want them.
That being said, it appears you attempted to upgrade to Mavarick. Although I am not positive.
Sorry, I am going to back out of this because I nor you know what it was you installed. Hopefully, someone else will chime in here.

Get your iPhone to update only one app at a time as follows:
Click each application that is updating to get it to a "Paused" state. Once they are all paused, then do this for one application at a time:
Click it until is says "Updating". Let it finish updating and installing. Then repeat for the next application.

If your phone is in recovery mode (You see the iTunes graphic on the phone), you MUST connect the device to a computer and restore the operating system. There is no supported way to get around it. The device had a problem installing the update and it crashed. Sorry.

Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.

Alright; first thing we need to confirm is do a full restore, and see if you get any kind of error message. During the set up assistant you then want to see if you have any backups in iTunes/iCloud by using this article to see where they are located

In the advanced Bridge preferences, there is an option to start at login. I have never used this option, but I believe it loads part of Bridge automatically if that option is selected. I'm using Windows, and have what is called a system tray. Software such as Bridge (and others) will have an icon displayed in the system tray (lower right-hand corner of the screen). Is it possible that Bridge is loaded at least to the point that it is in the system tray?
