Can't fix black box on dock app with evilwm

I'm currently running evilwm and trying to get a dock app to work with it. Right now I am stuck with a black box on the bottom 1/5th of the screen where the dock application is located.
I have tried the following combinations, to no avail:
xcompmgr + cairo-dock
xcompmgr + docky
cairo-compmgr + docky
I have managed to get the dock to work in each combination, and the visual effects from the composite managers are working, but I can't get any of them to remove this black box.
I tried cairo-dock with both OpenGL and Cairo arguments, and neither worked. I'm confident that my drivers are functional, because I've been running TF2 with no issues.
I suspect that there are some compatibility issues where transparent backgrounds are not supported by evilwm, or some such, but for all my searching I can't find any documentation of this. I also cannot find any instances of people with this same issue.
Any ideas?

Oh. That is quite a different matter. An MMS message requires a download of data, which cannot be done while on a call. SMS, yes, data no unless your device has WiFi, which the 8330 does not.
Your earlier post stated you could receive a "txt", which is SMS.

Connect your device to iTunes and in the the window were all the apps are greyed out make sure the 'Sync Apps' checkbox (top left corner) is selected.

IPhone 4 has a black box around an app when you touch it. It won't allow you to swipe to the bottom of the settings feature to reset factory settings

Tripple click the home button to turn off switch control. Then:

Can't boot - black box at apple

Hello,
I'm having trouble booting my ibook. I'm using 10.2.8. When I boot, I get past the gray screen, to the gray apple, and then after several seconds the gray apple gets partly covered by a black square. And it stays there.
It gets stuck there with the black box when I try safe mode, verbose mode, single user mode. So I haven't been able to try fsck. I have run disk utility and repaired permissions and verified the disk. I have reset the PRAM/NVRAM and the PMU and have replaced the mach_kernel. It seems my next step would be to reinstall the OS and I thought I'd ask here first.
I can boot off of an install CD and in OS 9.
This happened yesterday after updating apple software that apple recommended to update: a QT update and two ipod updates, one of which was from 06. I also installed yahoo messenger yesterday, and have deleted it, and its preferences. Obviously something in this combination wasn't a good idea.... When I rebooted after the updates were installed, I left the computer booting, and didn't come back to it for several hours. When I came back, I had the black box covering the gray apple.

Yes, I have run disk utility and repaired permissions and verified the disk. I've done it three times. There was never anything to repair and the permissions are now okay.
It looks like reinstalling the system will be more complicated than I thought. I have the 10.2 upgrade CDs which, I read in Apple Support, don't do archive installs. I wanted to verify this, and went to install off the 10.2 upgrade CDs, and the install program said I couldn't install because the system on my hard drive was more recent. I guess this is the upgrade from 10.2 to 10.2.8. I have no disks for 10.2.8, and no memory of this upgrade. Might it have been one of the regular updates? And so I'd have no install disks. Why wouldn't the 10.2 disks just install 10.2 and then I could update to 10.2.8 again?
So, I'm not sure what to do to reinstall. And am still wondering if I have other alternatives....
Disk Warrior? Would it be worth the $100 to try? And it's website says that you can't install it onto a system with 10.2. But can I still repair 10.2 off the DiskWarrior disks? Can I make these disks from a download to a computer with OS 10.4?

Can't Delete Black Box from Template

I am novice using Indesign CS4 on Windows Vista 64 bit. I am using the brochure template "brochure3.indt" from the built in templates. Page 2 of the template has a black box or background extending across pages 2 and 3, beginning on the lower right hand corner of page 2. I want to delete the box, but I cannot select it. How do I delete this thing?

InDesign is not designed as a "jump in and create anything" package -- you need a bit of background. Follow the advice in

(Because your "problem" is an extremely basic one: the black rectangle is drawn on the Master Page, and so you could either delete it there, or apply another master page, or shift-ctr-click it and then delete.)

Poor black box for multimedia widget with video

Hi,
When adding a multimedia widget to play video in my book, I can play the video properly however I cannot make the presentation nice.
1) I've a black box (instead of the first image of the video) and cannot select the slider in the inspector to select the first picture to show before video is started. It does not move.
2) I cannot select whether video is full screen or in a smaller box (Full Screen checkbox is not selected and greyed out)
3) The black box itself is fixed size and too small; I would like to extend it a bit.
4) Repeat and Controls are also greyed out
5) I cannot center the black box or put it where I want in the page.
Any point where you could help?

Can I use the Chrome for iOS app with Chromecast?

I recently purchased a Chromecast for my home television to see how it stacks up to the Apple TV3 (which I also have). I see very clearly that Netflix and YouTube are well integrated for use with this dongle but I do not see that Chrome for iOS is (on iPhone or iPad). It seems counterintuitive to not have the Chrome iOS app work with Chromecast even though other iOS apps do (Netflix;Youtube). Can anyone confirm or deny whether or not we can, or in the near future be able to, use the iOS Chrome app with Chromecast? It is in this very department that AppleTV has the Chromecast beaten, among others.
Also, Google Groups seems difficult to navigate in order to post my question there. If anyone has any insight for that as well I would greatly appreciate it.

You can't fix this, called Activation Lock, & currently there is no way around it. With no way to contact the previous owner, & no way to get your money back, you own a useless paperweight.
Apple can't/won't help you.

I can't see my table in my app with oracle 9i

I have an app with Java and O9i where i have to delete some data in table, but when i execute my metod appears a "ORA-00903: invalid table name" error code, but when i check the schema in DbVisualizer i see it that table in fact i can delete data manually but in my app don't.

Generally, no.
When you create a table like this
CREATE TABLE aa_Sales (...);the name is automatically stored in the data dictionary as "AA_SALES". The parser also uppercases the name when you refer to it is a query like
SELECT * FROM AA_sales;so the names match and everything works regardless of case.
The exception to this is when you explicitly name a table in double-quotes (which clearly you haven't here as the query from all_tables showed), or if you place double-quotes around the name in a query, because in both cases this forces case-sensitivity.

You have to continue to use that old ID for these apps.
Apps and all purchased content are always tied to the Apple ID that was used to purchase the content. You can't use a new ID, transfer the content to that ID and sync the content with the new one. You have to use the old ID in order to sync and update those apps.
Log into the old ID on the iPad in Settings>Store>Apple ID.
BTW - that was not a great idea - purchasing apps with the old ID and then creating a new ID. If you can continue to use that old ID - just keep using it and forget the new one.

It sounds like your screen is black, but you can otherwise tell the computer is on. I recommend these steps from the following article named:

You can reset the Mac's parameter RAM and SMC.
Reset the resolution
Start by resetting the Mac's parameter RAM. If the display does not come up, was previously set to an unsupported resolution, and still results in no video:
Start up in Safe Mode.
From the Apple () menu, choose System Preferences.
Choose Displays from the View menu to open the preferences pane.
Select any resolution and refresh rate that your display supports.
Restart your computer.

I'm really disappointed. I bought the Student and Teacher edition of Creative Cloud in order to use all the amazing apps of Adobe. But, it's not working!
I can login to my account and install the apps. However, when I start an app as Photoshop it asks me to register the product or it runs as a trail version. I uninstalled every Adobe item afterwards, but, nothing has changed.
I don't want to pay for a service that's not working! So please me help me to fix it.

Cloud apps are only available via subscription via a Cloud plan.
If you need 3 or more apps then a Cloud Complete membership is the way to go.
