Can't fix page loading

Hello,
I had several attempts of fixing my troubles - pages not loading properly.
I did all suggested steps in help, I have deleted and installed Firefox for several times,... nothing helps.
Either parts of pages (like Facebook) or ever mozilla (history) is white, or pages just dont work.
It is also strange, since whenever I install and clear Mozilla my bookmarks always turn up...
Thank you for your help.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

• How can I prevent pages loading twice?

Practically every time I click on a link in an email (Outlook 2007) Firefox 3.6.6. loads the page, displays "stopped" and then reloads it, leaving two tabs with the same title.
When I looked for a solution in this forum, searching for "firefox loads pages twice" I got 514 results filling 52 pages, but I soon discovered that though various versions of the question had been asked, there appeared to be no answer, and some replies got into technicalities that were beyond the average user of firefox.
So I raise two points:
1 Can we have a better filter in the forums that does not list every individual hit on a word in the query, but only on the complete phrase (putting it in quotes did not help)?
2. Has a solution been found yet?
== URL of affected sites ==
http://

What is the point of this forum if over 500 people have a problem with pages loading twice, but nobody, neither volunteers nor someone from Mozilla, can provide a solution?
Perhaps it is time to switch to Opera.

• How can I fix Bridge loading problem?

I'm a PSE user who prefers Bridge to the Organizer but I'm experiencing a new problem with Bridge. Every time I open Bridge and then open a folder, Bridge has to reload the the image thumbnail images. This is true of every folder and every time I open Bridge. Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks, Steve

First go to Bridge>Preferences>Cache and purge thumbnails. Then quit bridge and go to your username>library>preferences and delete everything that looks like com.adobe.bridge.plist. You'll probably have several with different numbers and some that say lockfile if you're using lion.
If you're using lion, that library is hidden. To see it, option click the Go menu in the finder and it will appear below the little house for your user account. While you're in there, I would also go to Saved Application States and delete any for bridge.

• Pages loading - but 'loading' icon no longer spins

I've just noticed that the loading icon (in the address bar) is no longer spinning when a page is loading, in Safari 4.0.5. Pages load OK, and - it seems - no slower than usual, but what happened to the spinning progress cog? Resetting Safari makes no difference. Anyone else noticed the same thing?

HI,
That feature is no longer available in Safari but from the Safari Menu Bar click View/Show Status Bar.
You can see the page loading activity there. (Bottom of the Safari window). Or, again from the Menu Bar click Window/Activity

• I'm on Mac OS lion and since your new upgrade, the page loads of center, with no scroll bar. On every computer I run I have to resize the page for the page to load correctly. How can I fix this?

I'm on Mac OS lion and since your new upgrade, the page loads off center, with no scroll bar, this happens on every computer I run.
In order to have the page load correctly, have to manually resize the page.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

Computer loading pages too slow. How can I fix this? When I go to iMac Manuals a gey/black screen appears. What is going on with this?

Unfortunately you haven't provided any useful information, such as what iMac you have, which version of OS X is installed, the capacity of the HD and how much is still available, etc...
Please complete your profile so we can begin to assist you, without that critical information we are guessing.

• Using windows 7 firefoxis really slow, how can I fix that?, it is very slow loading pages at every site I go to.

when broweing different site the page loading takes forever

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

• When typing an address in the location bar and pressing enter, nothing happens and the site does not load. How can I fix this?

When I type a new URL in the address bar (or location bar), and I either type the complete URL or select from the drop down list, nothing happens. I hit enter, and the website does not load in the current tab, new tab nor in a new window. Exactly the same when I hit the green arrow to the right of the address bar. I am using Firefox 8, and all my add-ins are up to date.
It has been working before. The setting to get Firefox to open new pages in a new tab from the address bar is there, so it should open a new tab. But I get nothing at all!
Please help, how can I fix this?
Thanks,
James.

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

• Facebook wont load but everything else does? can you fix this please?

For the past 2 days now when ever i try to log onto facebook it will not load the page. Everything else works just fine. Why is this and how can i fix this annoying problem so i can contact folks overseas?

Using Safari to access Facebook?
If so...
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If nothing above helped, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

Hi readytogo. welcome to the HP Forums. I am not sure exactly what you mean. You say Facebook loads automatically in Internet Explorer (IE). Does this mean, when you first open IE, that Facebook opens? Or do you mean when you turn your computer on, it loads Facebook without being told to? Or are you saying that it is remembering your Facebook login information?
What is the model number of your product? What version of Windows is installed?
Guide to finding your product number
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Let me know, I look forward to your response.

How can I fix 'Can't Load Visual Basic for Applications' in Word 2011 for Mac? I reinstalled Office after macbook was restored and now I've tried reinstalling twice but the same error turns up. There seems to be an associated error realted to the database, which send me to Database Utility. This turns up every time I open Word, then the VBA error message turns up 4 times, or if i click on Visual Basic Editor.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

To answer the post title FireFox save all downloads automatically in the download folder, which you can find in the Documents folder. If you want to choose where to save your downloads go to tools>options>check always ask me where to save files.
Secondly, I am assuming you have IE 8 installed as this is the only version that supports this fix that is currently not in beta. Go to control panel>internet options>advanced tab and reset the settings at the bottom. This may or may not fix the problem but it is a good first step.

• After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I really miss this feature and can't seem to find a way to obtain it.

The page load progress bar that was on the lower right of the window is no longer there. After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I really miss this feature and can't seem to find a way to obtain it. The tab has a circular progress wheel but this is useless for determining a stuck or slow loading page.
PLEASE NOTE: I am typing this in from a Windows based work computer but am asking about my Apple MacBook Pro that i use at home.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.
You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session at any time.
There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.
Another possibility is to use:
* [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Menu_differences Firefox (Tools) > Options] > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
