Can't follow links in emails

When I receive an email on my E61i and the email contains html links, the links aren't active, ie I can't click on them and follow the link.

E-mail's ability to follow links is from the "Automatic find" feature.
When you are in you e-mail with the links you want to follow press the options soft key. In that menu you should see an entry "Automatic find on". scroll down and select and you should now be able to follow your link.

  • I updated Firefox and now, when I select File, Send Link, a dialog box pops up asking me to establish a new account before I can send the link via email.

I updated Firefox and now, when I select File, Send Link, a dialog box pops up asking me to establish a new account before I can send the link via email. I use Outlook, so how do I avoid setting up some new account and yet am able to send the link via Outlook?
I have a feeling it may have something to do with HotMail.com.

My Error: I found out that it was Mozilla Thunderbird that was causing the problem. I uninstalled it and the problem went away.

  • Can not send links to email. where is the setting so that i can unblock

when i go to file and clik on send link it will not allow me to send link to email recipient.

I think we both understand what you want. And we're both saying we are not aware of any built-in way to do this.

  • Using windows 8.1 can't "send link by email" on explorer

I had a windows 7 computer and could "send link or page" by email when on a webpage. It won't highlight on the windows 8.1 computer I have now. I used to use windows live mail but now switched to Thunderbird. I use internet explorer as the browser. I am sure it is just some setting I can't find.
    Thanks

I think you would be better asking the people at Microsoft how to get their browser to send a page. I just did it with Internet explorer on Windows 7 without an issue, although I did get a UAC prompt.

  • Can't open links in email. Displays "blocked content, can't open".

When opening any link in my email account, it will not open. All links open in other browsers but not Firefox. No attachments, links or anything else within the emails can be opened. The message says that it can't open anything up because of a "blocked" content.

If the images are blocked click on the link to view them, if you consider it safe.
I expect the rest of the message provides additional information, along with the url of the url your on when you see the message.
Content my be blocked because you have some parental controls software installed

  • Can't access links from emails

All of a sudden in my emails when I try to use a link to get to the survey or information in safari it won't connect anymore...any setting or something I can change?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
    No data will be lost.

  • Can't Open link in email

Got this error message when I tried to open a link in an email - "no associated application can be found." It used to function well previously =(

What happens if you log out and back in?
What happens if you safe boot?
Apparently this problem isn't unique to.  Here's four other threads on the same problem:
web links don't work from Mail
    links to browser don't work
Links in Mac Mail no longer work
    Suddenly, links aren't clickable

  • How can I have links within emails read with Seamonkey open on the default Firefox browser and not the Seamonkey browser?

I use the SeaMonkey 2.0 mailer for my email client and Firefox 3.6 for my default browser. A link embedded in an email (read with SeaMonkey) opens the SeaMonkey browser and not Firefox. How can I have it open on Firefox?
(SeaMonkey is not set up as the default browser and Firefox is.)

  • Safari, can't following links

I can load all the web pages I want, but when I select a link nothing happens. I can move the page, zoom in, zoom out, but now clicking on the link. If you put your finger on the link it is to show the address it links to, it doesn't even do that.

me too - and fixed is like this:

    To turn completely off
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. When iPhone is off, incoming calls go straight to voicemail.
    To reset
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Can't open links from email

I'm using Firefox 29 on Win7x64. It's my default browser. Sometimes, when I try to open a web link from Outlook email or Yahoo email, the link does not open. Instead, Firefox opens a process every time that I click, but does not open the link or even a page. If I try to open another Firefox instance by clicking the shortcut, yet another process starts, but a page does not open. Safe mode does not help. The only resolution thus far is to close every process or reboot, and then re-install Firefox. This issue began in v29 or the one just before. I also have tried suggestions posted to the forum. Thanks!

I've tried this several times. It works for a while, but the issue recurs. Resting Firefox never is a good solution for any Firefox issue.

  • Can't open links in email

As of this morning, I am unable to open links in my email. The same is true when using the internet browser.
This has never been a problem.
I have a Blackberry Curve 9330 Smart phone, any suggestions??????
    Thanks

    Hey,
Try a battery pull.  Things usually start working better after pulling the battery and rebooting.

  • Can PHDs follow links/

I have a user who, for space limitations, has a symbolic link in his local home directory (on a macbook pro) that points to an external drive. So far I have been unable to figure out how to get his symbolic link to sync with his network account. I have him set up with a portable home that works just fine (except for the symbolic link.
Seems like I need a option similar to what rsync has that causes the sync agent to follow symbolic links.
    Is this possible?

    Hi njerseyjo,
If you are having issues with hyperlinks in messages not functioning, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
Force an app to close in iOS
Next, I would try restarting and if needed resetting the iPhone -
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • I can no longer link to emails from web pages: Before, clicking on site's "email person," that address would appear in my email's "TO:" field. Now, yahoo (my email) pops up, asks for password, but does NOT copy email address into the "TO:" field.

Windows operating system; Firefox is up to date.

I do believe that it IS a Firefox problem. I didn't have the problem before updating Firefox. Check out this site from Yahoo Answers. It's the same problem, but the advice is no longer accurate: The question was posted years ago, and the "fix" is for an outdated Explorer version. However, the Asker poses the question quite well.

hello, when this is happening after you've already updated firefox with your admin account, try to delete the ''updates'' folder and ''active-update.xml & updates.xml'' within the %localappdata% folder of your restricted account like it is described in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update#Software_Update_not_working_properly
