I got a phishing email recently, pretending to be a notification from Facebook. Par for the course so far and hardly Verizon's problem, I know. Patience...

When I tried to forward the hinky message to the proper authorities, the SMTP server spit it back in my face. Refused to send it. No reason given beyond "Sending the message content to the server failed." While not squarely in Verizon's court, the ball has hit the net, and stuck there.
I sent another test message to myself, and it went through just fine. So it's just that one message. Which raises questions:
Could the phisher have stuck something into the email to prevent it from being forwarded?
Could Verizon, in its finite wisdom and infinite attempts to cover its **bleep**, be blocking the email from being sent because it contains suspicious elements? Which, technically, it does—I'm trying to forward the original message to report it.
Either there's a technical limitation on Verizon's smtp server that's preventing the forwarding, or Verizon itself has set a "protection" on the server to keep suspicious emails from going out. I have "protection" in sneer-quotes in this case because, by preventing the forwarding, Verizon is protecting the phisher.

Forward it to verizon's [email protected] which allows such to be forwarded. They do contact the other companies where necessary.
If you foward to other locations they really don't know that you aren't the spammer and so it gets stopped.

As you have more than 1 computer authorised then you should be able to log into your account on your computer's iTunes (Store > View My Account) and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

By "charger," do you mean a USB power adapter that plugs into the wall outlet (used to "charge" the iPod), or are you asking about the USB docking cable that connect the iPod to the computer?

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, use Keychain First Aid under the Keychain Menu item, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.

Can't forward emails; contacts are in icloud and won't come up when I push cc

I can't forward email in Outlook. I used to just forward to myself then use cc to forward to other contacts that would come up when I pushed cc. Now everything has been moved to icloud and it won't come up to cc anyone. My iphone broke so they sent me a refurbished on and since I since I backed up my old phone and installed the sim card into the new one I have had nothing but issues...this being the worst. Another issue is that since then all the songs I had on my old phone are not there anymore. The nearest Apple store is 250 miles from me. Not sure Apple and icloud is the way to go. Does anyone know what is going on with this???

Outlook 2013 isn't supported at this time. Outlook 2007 and 2010 are. Microsoft has not yet decided to make 2013 compatible.

I just bought a new late 2013 iMac. Can I get the new iWork for free? I updated it to Mavericks also. The Mac App store is showing $19.99 for each iWork component (Pages, Numbers, Keynote). I also bought the previous iWork version, if that matters. Free updates for iPhoto and iMovie seemed to show up with no problems. Maybe these are just glitches that will clear up in a couple of days?

Hi. If you want it to get updated, this should take care of it.
1. Uninstall iWork from your Mac.
2. Do a fresh install of iWork from DVD.
3. Install iWork update from Apple Downloads (direct link here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1563)
4. Sign into the Mac App Store, and check for updates. It should now show up as a free update. You may have to give it a few minutes (i.e. 10-15 minutes).
I've been a Windows user for years, so I know all of the tricks by now. I had hoped I would not need this knowledge for a Mac, but oh well...

About a month ago, my MBPr 15", mid 2012 (Model Identifier10,1) showed, at first, Battery Service warning and on the next day X over the battery icon with Battery Not Available message in the status. MBP would run only and while the charger was plugged in, plug led would be always green, when connected. Battery test third party sw would not detect the battery, any longer.
Replacing upper case with battery/keyboard/trackpad, as per Apple, in my country was too expensive, over 1000 USD, did't make any sense to me, so I've chosen DIY option (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLhHSIej9fs) with all necessary precautions like tools, ESD protection grounded pad in place and ordered "new" replacement battery from Hong Kong on Ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/400699766989?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STR K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT).
Yesterday I came in new packing/sealed, I installed it, plugged the power cable on, plug led would turn green and then orange, I thought it's ok, but once system booted, I saw again X over battery icon and "Battery Not Available". I checked all the hints on internet, tried several times SMC and EPRON resets, no success. I filed complaint to Ebay supplier, he replied that battery undergone test prior the shipment, but ready for return and refund.
So, I can make another try and buy the battery from Ebay but what if the problem is with my logic board? From one hand charger plug led lights orange when connected to MBP, on another hand System doesn't see the battery at all: No battery in the System info/Hardware/Power. it works absolutely fine when plugged-in to charger. I ran extended AHT (over pressed "D" key while powering on) twice with No Problem in return. So, my question is does it ultimately mean that Logic Board and power circuits are all fine and the whole thing is about "new bad" battery? I there any way to entirely test Logic board and narrow down problem origin?

Apple care does not cover theft. It covers manufacturing defects for warranty. You need to contact the police and report it to them. Only insurance would replace a phone, and usually with a deductible. There is no free phone in your future.
