Can't Forward Picture Attachments

When forwarding any email with a large number of pictures attached, the iPad will only forward a small number of the attachments. I've seen it do as few as 2 of 30 and as many as 6 of 19. It doesn't matter which of my accounts I use. The restriction, whatever it is, seems to be on the iPad, not the email account. This is better than my iPhone 3GS, which generally won't forward picture attachments at all, but it's almost as bad. The effect is that I have to wait and forward interesting pictures from a computer.

I have seen the same thing but I have given it time to download the whole e-mail and get the email addressed and ready to forward it exits out to the main screen as I push send. I showed it to the Apple Tech at the store who did not take any notes made me wonder if this is a normal thing.

  • Can't open picture attachments on my new 9360 Curve

Help Please!  Older guy here is not able to open picture attachments in email - missing grandchildren pictures!!!

The sending PC is doing some weird encoding if you are receiving the images as text.
    Do this.
From a PC, send a jpg attachment (attached! not inserted in the email, but attached -- there is a different).
Now, send the email to both your "older guys" email and to your own or someone else in the organization with a BlackBerry.
Look at the received email on BOTH devices.
    Any difference?

  • Can't forward pictures since 8.1.2 iPhone6

The button to forward or delete is covered by the ui for entering text. If I click and hold then click more it gives me the option to select multiple messages, and everything at the top looks normal. Just the bottom about a 1/2" is un clickable and looks likes the minimized keyboard. If the keyboard is open and I try to select a picture from an album it will let me go thru all the steps but once I click the picture I want the keyboard pops back up and I can't click anything. No part of the screen works. I have to go home screen then back into the message for it to work. If the keyboard is minimized I can add pictures with no problems. This all started after I updated to 8.1.2.
and while typing this the keyboard is freaking out. Putting capital letters where ever and not letting me enter more text without closing the keyboard and reopening.

close out of the message app, double tap home button and completely close out of it.
then do a reset, no data loss hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

  • Can not forward tiff attachments

    Hello All,
We have a user, using Mac OS X 10.5.4 running Mail.app v3.3. Whenever he attempts to forward a message that contains one or more "tiff" images he gets the following error message in a drop down sheet:
"The message can't be saved to the OutBox.
The message contains one or more attachments that are too large to be saved in the Outbox. Try deleting some attachments."
The same message appears if we attempt to save the message, it just changes from "OutBox to "Drafts mailbox"
The two tiff images are only 277kb and 142kb respectively, which is not very large at all!
They can be cut and pasted into a NEW mail message and then sent, but can not be FORWARDED!
Also, they are stored on the company's Sun IMAP server and not locally on the Mac.
I've tested and am able to forward messages from his machine that contain several other types of attachments, i.e. PDFs, Word docs, etc...
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, yes, HTML messages are irritating but a fact of life, that's beside the point. I find useful ones that I need to forward intact.
The server in my case is Exchange 2003. I would note that the original message was forwarded to me by someone who I know is running Leopard. So this would seem to be an issue with the message under certain circumstances. If someone at Apple wants a copy of the message, I could send it to them as an attachment.
Speaking of which, I found a partial workaround to this -- send the whole message as an attachment in another message rather than as a general forward. Works ok, although graphics didn't come through right but the general HTML structure was preserved (when I did it through Entourage).

  • HELP!!!! Can't Open Picture attachments on my email on BlackBerry Curve 8530

I am having many problems with my new blackberry curve 8530.  I just purchased this last week and can't seen to be able to view my pictures that my brother sends me from across the country of my brand new nephew. I NEED HELP!!  I called Bell Mobility and talked to them for 40 mins and I got no where.
    Can someone help me!!!!

Where are you clicking to view the image, like I asked.
At the bottom of the email, ON the attached file?
    Try that.
You might need your BlackBerry Attachment Service Books re-pushed to the device, although your not being able to SEND an image sorta makes me think that is not the issue.
    Anyways, do this:
On your BlackBerry device, go to:
    1. Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table > Menu > Register.
    2. Resend your service books from your carrier BIS site:
    From your handheld device:   http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB15402
Go to the Personal Email Set Up icon and log in. Then under Help!, select Service Books, then select Send service Books.
Now, try retrieving a picture again.
    From your desktop PC:  http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB02830
North American Carriers - scroll down to select your carrier
WorldWide Carriers - Find your carrier on the list
    3. With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot. This reboot, even if you have already done this, is often needed to install the service books.

Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:

Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not  going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.

  • Forwarding email attachments

why can't I forward picture attachments that opened fine when I received the email?

I'm using my local internet provider email. Before getting the MAC, this was never a problem. They are being sent from computer to computer and I really don't know what each of recipients use. It's never been an issue before. When I forward to myself, it doesn't work, which is how I figured out it wasn't working in the first place. Also, when I send an email with an attachment, the finishing message reads, "message sent successfully" with "attachment" When I try to forward, it doesn't even see the attachment. I'm not sure what "redirecting" means...sorry. Thanks for any help you can give. This is getting frustrating.

  • Can't download email picture attachments

I have Gmail on my iPhone 4 (with Verizon). I'm having a problem where I cannot download picture attachments. It was working fine just a couple days ago, but now when I tap the download picture icon in the email, it will blink, and sometimes act like it's starting to download, then the icon will reappear, and nothing has happened.
I can forward the email again, including the original attachment, and then the picture shows up fine in the new email, but with the original one, I can't get the picture to appear.
    Has anyone had this problem?

I'm having the exact same problem with my mail accounts. It started this weekend, I tap the picture or video file to download (full WiFi connection) and it either gives me a failed message after a few KB's or the download percentage resets to Zero.

  • Can view attachments but can't forward them

*Pls advise me how can I forward my emails with attachments.I can view my mails with attachments but when I forward them, my friends only receive most of mails w/o attachments.I am using Iphone4 IOS 4.I have tried my hotmail, gmail & yahoo accounts but facing same problem.*

I've never done it so all I can do is see what the User Guide says:
Forward a message Open a message and tap , then tap Forward.
Add one or more email addresses, type your
    message, then tap Send.
When you forward a message, you can include the
files or images attached to the original message.
IF I'm reading this right, it looks like forwarding attachments is an optional action, not a default. Let me try it.
OK, it worked for me on my iPad. On my iMac I created a message with an attachment in my ISP account and sent it to an AOL account. I then read the message on my iPad after which I forwarded it to my Moble Me account. I then used my iMac to log into MobileMe and the message was there with the attachment.
Here are the steps I took on my iPad: After tapping on the forwarding icon, a drop down appeared asking me if I wanted to include the attachment. I said yes and then sent off the message. Is that what you did? My iPad has iOS 4.2.1 on it.

  • Can't send emails with picture attachments

All of a sudden, I can't sent emails with picture attachments. I last tried this a few weeks ago and it worked, now it doesn't.
I have tried a battery pull while the phone is on, registered on the network again and had the service books resent and nothing works.
Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas of how to fix it?

Can you please provide more information? Are you getting any error message when attaching or sending the pictures? Are you able to send other types of attachments? Is this happening for all email accounts on your BlackBerry?

  • TS3276 I am unable to send large attachments such as video or pictures. No problem when using windows 7. How can I send large attachments? Thanks, ..Sam

How can I send large attachments such as pictures or home videos?.....with windows 7 it asked me to send using Skydrive. I downloaded Skydrive and still no better........
    Thanks
    Sam

How big of a file you can send over an email, is not determined by Apple, but rather by your email service provider.  For example, if you have a Gmail email address, they let you send up to 25 MB of data
    http://support.google.com/mail/answer/8770?hl=en.
To find out how big of a file your email service provider will let you send, do a google search for "your email provider maximum file size".
If you need to send larger files, look into something like "Drop Box" -
    https://www.dropbox.com.

  • Can receive .png files (pictures) but can't forward them...

Here's a weird one. I've been getting fowards lately that have .png files in them for pictures. While I can view them on my iphone, when I forward them, it asks me it I want to attach them, of course I say yes, but the people I forward them to don't get the pictures. I don't think .png can be forwarded as it makes them turn in a question mark to the receiver.

    Okey Dokey then...
Just curious...can their iphone send also like yours??
Are you both using the same kind of mail account...are you both like Yahoo ...or are you using gmail and they are using a POP3 or yahoo or something else???
I'll have to test it later at home because I would have sworn that I sent .png files that were received fine by my recipient...
    Could be wrong...we shall see.........

  • How can I forward an email and include the attached images?

I sent a client an email with attahced images (I attached the images, pictures I took).  The client responded with the images attached to the response.  When I try to forward that response to a third party the attached images become place holders only, no image.
Shouldn't my forwarded mail include the images?  Short of re-attaching the images how can I get them included in the forwarded email?

I tested a few I forwarded to myself and I could still forward with attachments. You might try Redirecting it (Message menu).

  • AOL Mail Client can't download pictures from Apple Mail?

    Hey gang-
My sister and her family use the current Windows AOL email client to send and receive email. I sent them some JPEGs using Apple Mail, and I selected "Send Windows Friendly Attachments" before composing the message. Anyhow, they can see the pictures in the AOL mail client, but they don't seem to be able to download the JPEGs to disk. They say they've never had this problem before, so I wonder if it's an issue with how Apple Mail sends the JPEGs?
I have no idea how the Windows AOL mail client works, but does anyone know of any general guidance I can give them?
    Thanks!
    Dave

    Dave,
Travis has captured all the facets of the problem. I will only add that the surest way to send to AOL is to use Plain Text. This has always been the advice with Mail (i.e., not use RTF to AOL recipients) but additional factors have been added by Mail 2.0. Whenever RTF is used, along with attachments, and there is furthermore a mixture of fonts utilized, Mail converts to use HTML, and changes the status of files attached, even for users other than AOL. The most common sources of mixed font usage are from a Signature, or from text included in replying, or forwarding.
When sending to AOL users, continue to use Windows Friendly, but also use Plain Text. If you do not wish to set Plain Text as the default in Compose, then on these messages, click on Format in the Menu Bar, and choose Make Plain Text on an individual message.
Let us know if problems persist, despite this method.
    Ernie

  • Forwarded pictures turn into little squares with flashing question mark

Occasionally someone forwards me some email with supposed picture attachments but the pictures don't forward and are represented by little squares with flashing question marks.
    Any idea what causes this?
(I use Mac mail and Safari).
    -Louise

There are a few things that cause this, I've found.
Sometimes it's because the email includes images in a format that Mail doesn't like, but it can also be because the attached graphics had their names changed (or were deleted completely) by an outgoing- or incoming-mail virus scanner, or because the graphics weren't really included in the email, but were really just HTML links to images stored on a web site somewhere, and the site has gone down or moved the images.
You can usually tell which has happened by looking at the message's attachments. If there aren't any attachments, then either they've been deleted or stripped from the message, or the message points to dead Internet links.
If there are attached files, you can look at them to see if they have names that look funny (e.g., many virus programs add the word "DEFANGED" to file names), and might have been changed. Also see if they come up with the right icon (Picture icon saying JPEG, GIF, BMP, or PNG, usually). If they're just plain white generic file icons, then they might be something that your computer can't read.
