Can't freeze header column, grayed out

Hello... have header rows established and frozen, can't establish header column and freeze it. All areas are grayed out and column header is set as zero and won't allow me to change it.

Do you have any horizontally merged cells in this column? That will prevent it from becoming a header column

Can't Freeze Row/column in Web layout in Integrated planning

Hi Guys
we have 50 columns in planning query. Web layout screen can't present all these column in one screen . While scrolling for viewing rest of the columns the initial column(Description) disappears i.e scrolled out and hence it is very difficult to corelate which Key Figutre value (Value) represent which Object(InfoObject).
We need a way around of freezing of columns functionality which is available in BPS but not in BI IP.

46G310U - Can't select Cinema Mode: Grayed out

Quick Edit Columns Grayed Out, Unable to Edit Data

I have a custom list that i want to edit using quick edit. some of the columns are editiable in quick edit mode but many are not. the column type is Multiple lines of text and when i click on it the column is grayed out and cannot be edited. any advice is

Did this issue only haapen to this one particular list?
Please check if there are more related ULS logs in 15 hive.
And also try saving this library as a template and create a new libarary based on it, then check if issue still exists, then change the "multiple lines of text" type
Enhanced rich text to
Rich text (even Plain text) if possible, then check again.

CS3 - can't import jpg - files grayed out - Mac

I'm trying to complete a tutorial in Fireworks CS3 on Mac 10.5.6.
The step I'm stuck on is:
"Select File > Import and browse to the following folder on your hard disk:
local_sites/cafe_townsend/fireworks_assets/
Select banner-mockup.jpg and click Open.
An insertion pointer appears indicating where the upper-left corner of the graphic will be positioned."
None of the JPG files are selectable, they're grayed out.
Other files in that folder, TXT and PNGs are selectable.
Other JPGs that are not in the folder indicated are also selectable.
I can drag the file from Finder into the Fireworks document ok.
I've checked the Sharing & Permissions on the files and containing folders and they all have Read & Write.
I copied a JPG that was selectable for import elsewhere into the fireworks_assets folder, and it's still selectable (not grayed out).
The files were copied & pasted in an earlier tutorial step from a different folder (Macromedia Fireworks 8/Tutorial_assets).
Trying to import them from the original location also fails.
So it seems there's something specific to these JPGs causing Fireworks to not want to import them.
I can't figure out what.

Not sure why you can't import the file, I'd suspect something is goofed up with the actual JPEG if you can import other JPEGS with no issues. However, if you can drag and drop or copy and paste the image into your Fireworks document then you're ending up with the same results the tutorial is aiming for anyway.

ICloud email won't send (it tries to send and then freezes, send button grayed out)

I can recieve email just fine. I can draft an email just fine. But it won't send. When I hit the send button, the email window goes away and a message box appears and disappears so fast I can't read it. The email window reapears with the "send" button grayed out. Once this happens, I can't close the email window. I have to quit mail. When I open mail back up, the email will still be there and I can close it. The send button is no longer grayed out, but if I hit send, the same thing happens (i.e., screen flashes and the send button is grayed out).
I've tried deleting the acouunt and reforming it. Didn't help. I checked to see that my outgoing server is "iCloud" and that it send on port 993 and the SSL check box is checked.
Any ideas?

Can't apply CU5 - option grayed out

Hello,
I have a local, named sql server 2012 sp1 instance running virtualized on an ESX host with VMWare. We wanted to apply cu5 to this instance and several others for the pages in memory fix. The others worked fine, this instance the option to choose
it for upgrade is grayed out. There were no errors to provide, it was simply unavailable to apply the update. The version of this db is 11.0.3000, like all the others that worked fine.

Can no longer use the gray out icon in the Menu bar to update CC

Since I upgraded my Mac OS from 10.9.4 to 10.9.5, I only have a grayed-out icon in the Menu Bar in the Finder for checking for updates. When I try to access it, I only get an endlessly spinning wheel. Any other finding this glitch also? Any cure for it?
I also couldn't find an app which I thought I'd used before called Adobe Updater to check for updates.

2x2 table. 4 empy cells. Can hide rows but not columns. grayed out. argh!

Only one sheet with a single table with 4 cells.
I don't see any merged cells.
Is there any other attribute that prevents columns from being hidden?
I realize that one cannot hide all the columns or all the rows.
I was given a spreadsheet months ago with this problem.
Couldn't figure it out so worked around it by creating a new one and copying over the data.
Still have the original, so I have pruned it down to a 2x2 table that still has the problem!
Sure would like to know what is going on.

You can take a table down to a single visible cell, but no further.
This worked for me to show only cell B2:
Expand the 2 x 2 table using the handle at the lower right to include more than two rows and more than two columns.
Click the header tab for column A and choose Hide Column.
Click the header tab for Row 1 and choose Hide Row.
Grab the handle and drag it up and to the left to collapse the table to a single visible cell.
This was done with a new sheet after placing data in the top left block of four cells. YMMV, of course.

Numbers Export to Excel adds 1 Row and 1 Column to the Freeze Header/Columns.

Exporting a Numbers file to Excel, that has 1 Freeze Column and 5 Freeze Headers, somehow adds an additional Row & Column when opened in Excel.
Thoughts?

I found the answer to this question with help from SAP Support.
In the Cross-Tab Expert, Customize Style tab, click "_Column Totals on Top_".
Then, the Excel Data Only report will show the row titles Top-aligned for the row group.

I imported a rather complex spreadsheet from Excel. My problem is that the "categorize by this column" option isn't available on any column.
I tried with a simpler spreadsheet imported from Excel, and the option does appear this time.
What makes this option being available or not ?

Often the case is merged cells. Merged cells in the same row are okay. Merged cells from multiple rows is not. You will also notice you cannot sort.

I can't sync new music, grayed out with a gray circle. Whats going on?
