Can't FTP or use CPanel with router; okay without

We have a WRT-54G router connected to a Surfboard SBV5222 cable modem.
Recently I started having problems connecting to one particular website via FTP and via CPanel. I get error 530 "Login authentication failed". I get this error from any computer in the house using the router (wired or wireless). (I am able to view the website in a browser, though.) My ISP reset my password, and they were able to log in with it.
I am not having problems FTPing (port 21) to any other sites, or using CPanel (port 2082) to any other site.
After trying many other things, I found that if I bypassed the router and hooked my computer directly up to the cable modem, the problem went away.
I have checked all the router settings and cannot find anything that appears to be preventing my connecting to this one website on ports 21 or 2082. My firmware version is v1.00.4, Dec. 8, 2005.
This problem only started about a week ago; I was using FTP just fine last month. I would appreciate any help!

You already seem to know what the issue is, it is the parallax feature that was added to iOS 7. From your rant, it appears that your attempt to work around this was not successful. According to the Apple documents I've seen, they recommend that you enlarge your image (not reduce it). Make your image have excess space on all sides, which is not displayed on the screen. This way, when you tilt your device one direction or another, it can shift the image to give the appearance of 3D.
As a photographer, I like to use the full frame of my images, but I also know that I need to leave room around the image as well. I have some photos I have taken that I can't use because I have them cropped too tightly too, but I have others that work just fine. Just remember that part of the image file is "off screen" so that if iOS has to shift the image up it has some image that can scroll onto the screen. It needs this space on all sdes, so just make youre images larger, and keep in mind that a portion on each side will be outside the normally visible screen... If you don't like this feature, you can always go into the settigns and turn it off.

How can I create Droplets using Actions with several Stops?

My Droplets (using Actions but with several Stops) work very nicely when using a single image source. However when using multiple images thing start to go crazy.
At the first stop on the first image a pop-up emerges asking me to continue to the next image or stop. If I select stop I can continue with the Action for this first image and complete the Action on that first photo.
If I select continue it halts the action on that photo at the first stop then opens the 2nd image and repeats the action to the first stop on the next photo then the pop-up appears again and the cycle repeats.
How can I create Droplets using Actions with several Stops?

I don't believe this is possible when starting from Java. I think you need to start with a WSDL to get this to work. I am curious as to why having multiple WSDLs is an issue, would you care to eloborate.

I'm having similar issues. The iPhone4's face time works just as it always did but the iPad4 is not working. I can place a call but it won't connect, others can call and it rings but never connects. I've signed in and out of iTunes, removed and reinstalled the wifi, hard restart, and anything I can think of. It's driving me nuts!

Is any one tired of buying apple products to have them die or become obsolete in 1 to 3 years? I have 2 Ipod touch 5 nanos 1 pad out of all 3 are useable. Batteries die or you can't upgrade to use them with new apps. BIG WASTE OF MONEY.

I'm not really tech-savvy, but I'm tossing my old computer and getting a new one - is there a way to use my ipod on my new computer without erasing my existing library? It won't let me make changes to my ipod and wants me to erase everything that is on there right now - HELP!

Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available at this link: Two-way Street: Moving Music Off the iPod
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

Use airplay with Apple TV without wifi connection

Is it possible to use the AirPlay feature on an iPad with Apple TV without being connected to the internet via wifi?
I'm thinking about getting my mom an iPad for X-mas later this year so that she can help some of her visually impared students. She has always wanted a good visual aid for all of her students and I figure that this would be the best solution. The only problem is that I'm not sure if she would have access to the school's wifi connection.
I would normally suggest that she use the HDMI adapter but the projector in her classroom is mounted on the ceiling and it would be a bit of a hassle to have to disconnect the cable every time so that the kids wouldnt play with it. So I figure if she can stream her content on her future iPad to the Apple TV wirelessly, she would be able to achieve what she has always wanted to do. I dont think she will be streaming anything to the Apple TV like youtube or anything like that but it would be a nice tool to have in the event that she wants to present something to her kids wirelessly from her iPad.

Unfortunately you can't send audio from the Apple TV to an airport express, but you can send audio from your mac/pc to the airport express via iTunes/Airplay, you could also send audio from an iPod/iPhone to the express. The express supports both optical and 3.5 mm in a unified port.

The only times I've tried - on holiday/vacation with no broadband - this has failed because Airplay of protected content requires a brief authorisation connection to Apple's servers.
Conversely an ipad hooked up to a TV using the HDMI adapter works without internet for media stored on it as does a Mac computer running iTunes eg MacMini with HDMI out.

Sync Palm TX using VersaMail with Outlook 2003 without a wireless connection.

Is it possible to sync email and calendar items within outlook to a Palm TX device like they used to, with activesync? before I could just have it grab all this info from Outlook. Now, it wants me to setup VersaMail and use Exchange ActiveSync to grab email and calender items. This is nice but I don't have a wireless AP for the palm to connect to. I just want to sync these items to the palm using active sync like I have in past.
The users is going to sync their Palm with Outlook, leave for the day, have access to their outlook items, make minor changes then come back the next morning and sync it up.
If I can do it with VersaMail great, if I need something else, like a conduit, that's okay too.

You can Hotsync to Outlook. The PIM data will sync with no problem. You need to select Outlook during the installation of Palm desktop. The email may work but it depends on the type of email account.

To answer your original question, yes Time Capsule can be used as a normal router. Think of it as a router with a built in hard drive. And yes all your Macs can connect to it to share Internet.
Now as for your second question, how are you accessing the Internet right now? Because you can't connect the Time Capsule to your phone jack on the wall. I'm assuming you're using some kind of DSL. If so, then you need to connect your DSL modem to the Time Capsule, not Time Capsule to your phone wall jack. Then you'll be able to share and connect with all your Macs. Make sense?
Time Capsule has ethernet ports (bigger "phone" jack), take the ethernet cable from your DSL modem and plug it into the WAN ethernet port of the Time Capsule.
If you're on dial-up, then you can't share Internet with all your Macs. (Actually you could, but it's going to be painfully slow and not worth it)

On iOS 8 (and earlier) - PHOTOS for iOS lets one import EVENTS from the Mac -- but now I am wondering: If PHOTOS for MAC no longer supports (or has) events - then there are no events to import- and in iPhoto, EVENTS are much different than ALBUMS…
And what about FACES and PLACES in the new PHOTOS for Mac?

Only iPhoto 9.6.1 will run on MacOS X 10.10.3.
If you did not yet have updated to that version, it will be difficult, because the update is currently not available at the AppStore.

iPhoto has automatically created Moments and Years to structure the library. You can add albums and smart albums.
Your events will be migrated as albums.
And what about FACES and PLACES in the new PHOTOS for Mac?
You can add Faces, but they are not fully supported in iCloud Photo Library Beta, and don't sync to other Macs.
Photos uses the GPS tags of your photos to create the places for the Moments view, but has no tools to add places manually.

Hi, I just bought CC for teams.
A lot of people I work with are still using CS6. With Indesign I will have to save my files 'down' so that they can open it in CS 6.
Is it possible to download and use a copy of Indesign CS6 under my CC license until everyone else is upgraded to CC?
