Can't get 2 smart builds to work simultaneously
I have watched the tutorial over and over where you can move an object from A to B and have it shrink to 50% of it's size progressively at the same time. I have followed the steps exactly but my image moves from A to B first and then shrinks to 50% unlike the image in the tutorial. I have also read everything in the help menus and keep drawing a blank.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Kevin, just make sure that under the Start Build option, Build (Action) 2 starts automatically WITH Build (Action) 1. Sounds like your current setting is "after", not "with"? That should work - if not, or if you want more detail, just leave another post, np.

Can't get Report Builder to work with Apache Webserver
I'm running ColdFusion 7.0.1 and have it configured to work
with Apache. I've got an application named realestate. I created
the following entry in my host file:

In Apache, I've created a virtual server that uses the
realestate server name. But I can't get the Report Builder to
connect to it at all. When I run the wizard, I try to install an
RDS server. I've used 127.0.0.1 for the host name as well as
realestate and I've set the port to 80. I can't get port 8500 to
work at all. I set my ColdFusion root location to fall under
Apache's htdocs. Should I have left it under C:\CFMX7 ? How would I
change the location?Please review the "stickied" threads near the top of this board, about syncing with Windows 7 and Vista. It's all there.
After you've been through and tried everything there is to try, and still have problems, please post back with specific info about exactly what you've tried, what version of Windows 7 you have (32-bit or 64-bit), etc.

Can't Get Smart Albums To Work
Hi,
I'm trying to get Smart Albums to work in Aperture 2.0.1 but I'm not having much luck. I've made a simple Smart Album called "All Unadjusted Photos" with these rules:
Adjustments are not applied
Now, from what I understand, it should automatically show ALL the photos in my Aperture Library that haven't been adjusted. But it doesn't. It shows nothing.
Is the location of the Smart Album important, or can you place it anywhere, inside any Folders you want?Smart Albums can only see "What's above it". For example this is my layout. Folder (Called Personal) - Folder (Called 2008) - Folder (Called March) - Projects (called Babies, Family, etc). I have Easter images in Family and Babies. I want an Easter Smart Album that would have the Keyword Easter. For it to see both images in Babies and Family I have to put it in either the March folder or 2008. For me I did 2008, thats where my annual events go.
Hope that makes sense.
EDIT : I have noticed that sometimes the smart album has issues and I have to recreate, especially if I change the selection criteria a couple of times.

Can't get smart mailboxes to work with "message has flag = color"
I'm trying to set up a Smart Mailbox that will find all the messages to which I've assigned a green flag. This should be easy, right?
Unfortunately, this isn't working -- I definitely have messages with green flags in my inbox, but they're not being collected into the smart mailbox.

Is this broken in Mavericks? Am I doing something wrong?Re Eric: Arggh -- the first image (which went into the comment form but didn't show up) was of the "create smart mailbox" dropdown, which tested "match all rules: message has flag = green". The second image tested "match all rules: message is flagged & message has flag = green".
Re William: I'd like to have one smart mailbox for green flags and another for purple flags. The colors here were just meant to be examples. -
Can't get direct rendering to work

Last edited by bughunter2 (2008-03-03 01:06:30)The standard arch kernel includes all the required modules, at most you need to load them explicitly listing them in MODULES in /etc/rc.conf
You need also the hw specific stuff, that is i915 and intelagp. Check lsmod and see if they are loaded. If they are not, inspect dmesg and see if udev tries to load them and fails for some reason.
I remember some cases where intelagp and i915 are not loaded by udev in the right order, if this is your case you can try to list them in the right order in MODULES.
There should be no need to recompile the kernel or to install a particular version of dri (just use the arch packages for mesa, libdrm etc; but I guess you have them already) -
Can't get completion insight to work

I just can't get completion insight to work on the newer releases of sqldeveloper. It works fine until Version 1.5.5 Build MAIN-5969. However on both Version 2.1.0.62 Build MAIN-62.61 and Version 2.1.0.63 Build MAIN-63.73 it justn't work no matter what settings I use.
I have run both the builds from \sqldeveloper\bin\sqldeveloper.exe and no exceptions are reported.

ThanksThis console output says that the completion insight queries are executing - the first example took ~ 3.5 seconds and the second example took ~ 39 seconds. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you how many records it returned.
If you copy the queries out of the console output and run them manually, do you get any results? For example, the second query would be:

Can't get Extension Builder 2.0 with Flash Builder 2.6 to run
Can't get Extension Builder 2.0 with Flash Builder 2.6 to run. I installed Flash Builder 4.6 premium then install CSExtensionBuilder_2_Retail_LS1.
When I create a new hello world project and run it I get a CSIDE1 Sign In for my Adobe ID. I sign in I get operation in progress and then back to the previous screen. It just continues to ask for a sign in.
Anyone else have this problem or any advice to get this working?

I have an Retina display MacBook Pro with HMDI out port. I also have an HDMI to Component cable with Audio Plugs. How can I get HDMI out to work with this cable when plugged into the MacBook Pro and connected to the TVs Component and Audio in ports.
Will not work. To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported. The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.

I can't get video chat to work.
All computers, LAN and WAN are running the latest iChat under 10.4 (including latest updates).
Within our LAN, via Bonjour, everything is fine.
I'm now trying to set up an offsite Intel iMac (10.4) and I can't connect via video chat with them.
I've had this problem in the past and eventually gave up (so much for "it just works" - I've spent the last 10+ years dealing with Macs and Mac-based networking, I can't imagine "my dad" figuring this all out). Trying again with fingers crossed...?
If someone could help, it'd be much appreciated.

The studio router/firewall is a SonicWall TZ 170 Standard.
This router has a static IP.
All suggested ports on the SonicWall are set up correctly to allow in/out from our LAN.
All computers on the LAN have static IP addresses.
Quicktime streaming settings set as suggested.
OS X Firewall on all computers = OFF.
No iChat add-ons on any computers.
Internet connection speed = 7404 kb/s
The offside router/firewall is a LinkSys WRT54G
This router does not have a static IP.
DMZ is ON and set to the only computer connected to it.
Computer has a static IP address.
Quicktime streaming settings set as suggested.
OS X Firewall on all computers = OFF.
No iChat add-ons on computer.
Internet connection speed = 5116 kb/s

Opening the ports in the manner listed on that link will only allow one computer (IP) to use the open ports.
The Linksys is router and you have not mentioned what the modem is doing at that end.
Why not use UPnP here ? The Linksys does it (on the Administration page)
Most likely this needs the Respond to Anonymous Pings checked on the Security page.

My "Hanging with Friends" app keeps crashing whenever I try to open it. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app, restarted my iPhone, and even restored my iPhone all together, and nothing is working. How can I get this app to work again?

You can also do a clean reinstall and download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

After upgrading to Lion can't get Boot Camp to work! Just get "The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition". Anytone?
This message, and threads like yours got asked daily for over two years, now it is only a couple times a week!!
Is it so hard to follow through? you were to have backup already, clones are best, then erase/format and restore.
Then partition.
Some have been able to use Disk Utility booted from OS X DVD or another drive, and repair the drive.
You have to use Boot Camp Assistant (99.9% anyway) to create and achieve a proper Windows Master Boot Record partition. -

As AT&T has not officially unlocked your phone it must have been hacked to use another carrier. So when you updated it has relocked itself to AT&T. There is no official unlock so this will happen anytime you update.
