Can't get 4.2 features

I have a 3rd generation ipod touch and I have just updated it to 4.2.1, but when i did i didn't get any of the new 4.2.1 features like air print, airplay multitasking, wallpaper, find my ipod or any of that. My itunes is 10.1 and i dont know what to do?

You must have an airprint enabled printer ( there are only about 10 or 12 HP printers that are enabled) to get the airprint feature.

How can I get the dictionary feature to work with firefox?

My guess is that there are problems with gestures yet to be worked out. One problem I see is that users don't wait long enough, or try hard enough (ha!) when using them. My guess is that when the machine is busy (indexing, rendering, etc.) that the gestures get hosed, but I am not a developer...so just a guess

I can't get photomerge panoramic feature to work in Elements 13?

I can select the photos I wish to merge, it goes through the process of aligning the photos but then fails to output a panoramic image. No failure message or any other reason given.

After un-installing and re-installing Photoshop TWICE it finally started to work, so it must of been a installation issue. Hope this helps anyone in the future.

Settings>General>Keyboard>Split Keyboard:ON
Open up a text app such as notes and tap the screen to begin writing. The keyboard will pop up.At the very bottom right-corner will be a keyboard icon. Tap-drag (tap and *hold* the icon, then drag it up), the icon up and the keyboard should split as you drag upwards.
Another way to split the keyboard is to use two fingers, tap & hold each side of the keyboard to split it and spread the keyboard apart.

I just got the Airport Extreme 802.11n access point. But I can't get my old HP printer to connect wirelessly. This is an 802.11b device and should be compatible. I can plug it in to the AE and it works, but can't get the wireless feature to work. Any suggestions?

Personally, I would connect it to one of the LAN port on the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS).
If you do succeed in connecting it wirelessly, it will drag down your wireless speeds.

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

It keeps saying that I only have 2 devices setup, my iPad and my macbook pro. When I mess with the setting on my mac mini, it goes from saying that that is one of the devices to my macbook pro being the 2nd device. I think that something happened as a result of my using the migration assistant and now it thinks that my macbook pro and my mac mini are one and the same computer. Any ideas?

In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

You can turn that feature off in Settings>Mail, contacts, calendars>Contacts>Show in App Switcher>Recents>Off.
