Can't get a Lexmark X9575 wireless

Upgraded to 10.6.8 and now can't get my Lexmark X9575 to print wireless, only works with USB.

Read the user manual that came w/the printer if you have not already done so.  Or contact the manufacturer tech support.

  • Can I airprint to a Lexmark X9575 wireless printer

Can I airprint to a Lexmark X9575 wireless printer, anyoneeeeeeeeeeeeeee?

Do a web search for AirPrint Activator, and you should find useful results for both Mac and Windows computers.
You might also contact Lexmark and ask if they have a solution.  Some other-brand printers claim iPad/iPhone compatibility, but the fine print says you have to use their program.
Otherwise, you may be able to use an iPad App like Print n Share.

  • Can I get my HP F4500 wireless printer to work with my Ipad?

Can I get my HP F4500 Wireless Printer to work with my Ipad....It is an IOS 4.3.2

    Philip-
I don't see a 4500 HP printer on the list of AirPrint printers, so you will most likely need an alternate way to print to it.
One way is to use an iPad App such as Print n Share.  It has its own browser, mail, photo and text programs that can print to some non-AirPrint printers.  I don't know if it can print from within other iPad Apps.
Another way is to use a computer to share the printer as AirPrint over WiFi, using a program like Printopia for the Macintosh.  For a free solution, search the web for AirPrint Activator.
I recommend you try the free iPad App, HP iPrint Photo.

  • Can't get printer to work wirelessly since adding timecapsule

I have just added a Time capsule to my BT Home hub network just to back up all the different computers in the house wirelessly. Since adding it I can not get my HP Officejet J4680 to print wirelessly. Any ideas anyone?

Was that G4 Mac set up to share its printer?
My airport address is 192.168.1.254 my printers IP was originally 169.254.24.167 but I changed it to 192.168.1.76.
Launch AirPort Utility and put the Time Capsule into "manual setup" mode. Pull down the "Base Station" menu and select "Logs and Statistics". Select the "Wireless Client" tab. Do you see the printer there? (If you have trouble identifying the clients you see there, enter their "MAC addresses" in this Web site

It would be good to configure your printer to be a DHCP client, but it's not clear from its manual

  • Can't Get E-mail Using Wireless Router

Hi - For some reason we can't get our e-mail using the wireless router. Internet is working fine - only e-mail is giving an error that it can't get through to the POP3 server or something to that effect. Any idea what could be wrong? We've tried 2 different e-mail accounts and both won't work. Using our regular wired connection we can get right through to the e-mail so it's not the servers. Do we need to change something as far as the server requires authentication being checked or something? Thanks for any help!

    We figured it out.

  • Can not get MacBook Pro to wirelessly connect to Deskjet 2512

I have installed the software 3 times and I still can not connect to the printer wirelessly. The directions for converting from USB to wireless instruct to go to Finder/Applications/HP then choose my printer. The file only containsDevice Utilities, HP Scan, HP Uninstaller and HP Utility so I can go no further with the instructions. I installed the drivers again just to make sure that I hadn't missed something. Still no connection. Help. I have two of these printers and need them both connected.
    Thanks

    Hi sbritt,
The Deskjet 2512 does not supports wireless printing.  You will need to either connect directly to your computer with the USB, or purchase a wireless print server.

  • My macbook is a late '07 OS 10.6, can I get an old-style wireless keyboard for it?

    Hey there :-)
I have a late '07 whitebook running Snow Leopard. I write a lot, so after a while its own keyboard can get uncomfortable to me and my freaky long fingers (not to mention rather hot!). I used an external keyboard from the start, at least on my desk, but quickly turned to completely wireless (ie bluetooth) because anything else would at least sacrifice one of my two USB ports, maybe even add cable tangle (which can be a liability with my setup).
Back in '08 I found a cheap rocketfish keyboard, and I got along with it fantastically well for almost four years until two nights ago when it just suddenly died on me. Now, I'm back looking, but other than the ultra-thin, narrow apple keyboard and its inevitable truckloads of imitations, which are all no good for me as the only thing they offer over the built-in keyboard is that they don't make your hands as hot, the only option seems to be one of those older keyboards with the curved profile. The price isn't too bad, but I'm only wondering whether it would work with my setup. I do know that if I change laptops it may no longer work (and since my laptop itself is pretty old, it probably ought to matter to me) but really I haven't written properly in two days and it's driving me crazy, so I have to do something :-)
Consequently, I would appreciate if you can think of any other options for a completely wireless, non-USB-port-gobbling keyboard (it needs to ship to Europe though, heh).
So to sum up: does the curvy old apple k/b work with my setup? and, What else (if anything) would also work (other than the current Apple Wireless k/b in sleek low-profile aluminum)?
    Thanks in advance everybody!

  • Can't get officeJet Pro 8600 wireless to connect

This is so frustrating. I just bought a HP Officejet Pro 8600 and am trying to set up the wireless connection to my ATT-supplied Netgear 7550 router.  I keep getting a message that "MAC address filtering is enabled on your wireless router" even though I have checked in the router setup and I am certain that it is not (it clearly says MAC is "not enabled").  I talked to the ATT tech support and they agreed--we even hard-rebooted the router and re-installed it and it seems to be working as intended.   I have unplugged and re-plugged the printer.  I have spent over 2 hours and keep getting the same message.
    Help?
Oh, I have also tried the HP Dr. software taht has been recommended to others, but it does not find my printer.

Thanks for the reply. I believe I already tried that once. I added the printer MAC address and selected "allow this address" or something like that. It did not seem to help, so I went back and disabled the MAC filtering completely. But, I can try that again. Certainly won't hurt.

  • Airport Express will connect wired, but can't get it to connect wireless

I purchased three APE units specifically to connect my iTunes library to multiple house receivers.  I went through the setup for two of them, but as soon as I unplug the ethernet cable, the wireless network won't recognize them.  I tried rebooting the router.  DIdn't work.  Next I tried unplugging the APEs and plugging them back in, but unless the ethernet cable is connected I get ther persistent flashing amber light.  I should mention that my iTunes library resides on a PC running windows 7, but I also have a MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone; all of which I will be using to controll my music if I ever get this to work.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

  • How can I get Mac to print wirelessly?

I have a g5 iMac and a g4 IMac that connect to the internet via a wireless Belkin router. I have two HP printers (a laserjet and an officejet) connected with an ethernet cable to the router.
The g4 machine quickly identified both printers as "Internet printers" so I added them and was able to print wirelessly to both printers.
The g5 machine is able to print wirelessly to the officejet, but does not "see" the laserjet when I attempt to add it. I have tried everything, including setting up the printer manually by entering its IP address, and I can add the printer this way but I can't print.
What the g5 sees is both printers under "Bonjour Shared" kind, but if I select these and add them, it is unable to print (I either get a message that says "connecting to printer", which can last for hours, or I get a message indicating "Job accepted" but still nothing prints).
Before I switched Internet providers, both Macs could print wirelessly to both printers (I recently switched from a DSL provider to a cable provider, and then back to my old DSL provider).

I am confused. Neither iMac of which you speak will run Mac OS X 6.4 Snow Leopard, but that is the OS you profile.
What versions of Mac OS X are these old Macs actually running? Do you think that folks who have these Macs would be a better crowd to ask for assistance than folks with architecturally different Macs? We here have Intel Macs. Most of us have Snow Leopard. You are asking for help with two old PPC Macs, neither if which can actually run Snow Leopard.
    Just an idea.

  • Can't get on line through wireless

I am new to wireless. I get on line and then the server goes down saying that it can not find a signal. But my modem lights all work and my roommates all get on line without any problem with their computers. This was working fine up until yesterday, then it started saying "Error, can not find." Please help...

See if anything in the following Knowledge Base Article is of any help:

  • Where can I get an Arabic USB/Wireless Apple keyboard?!

I have asked this to Apple UK and Apple USA telephone sales, who have no idea where to start (other than google!)
Where can I buy one of the Arabic USB keyboards?! How hard can it be to get one? I'm in London, with a UK Mac Pro. Apple say they won;t even get me a part number, unless the serial nu,ber Mac was originally sent with an Arabic keyboard....some of us speak/type/create documents in more than one language!!
    Thanks for your help,

some of us speak/type/create documents in more than one language!!
It's certainly not necessary to have a physical keyboard for every language you want to work in -- the layouts are all switched by software in system prefs/international/input menu and that is what most people use. Plus stickers or skins if more is needed.
But see this note for the best source of Apple physical keyboards:
    http://m10lmac.blogspot.com/2007/07/where-to-get-hardware-keyboards-in.html
Unfortunately I don't see Arabic there offhand. Perhaps a PC one would work?
For stickers or skins the main sources I am aware of are Aramedia, CustomKeys, DataCal, Hooleon, and SpeedSkin.

  • Re: Can not get AX configured to wireless network/blinking amber light

Discovered my AX wasn't connected to my AEBS when i couldn't play iTunes through it. I probably screwed up the settings trying to get it to work. I'm running Leopard and Airport Utility shows my AX with an amber light and says that it found an AX with "default settings?" . When I click on "Manual Setup" I get the "reading base station configuration" but no window opens showing the Summary, Base Station, Wireless, etc. window. I've tried doing a hard reset twice, but to no effect.
Where do I go from here?

Eventually solved this problem. One issue was that the channels chosen were different on my AEBS and my AX. The other issue involved resolving the configuration on my AX. For some reason, Airport Utility kept reading it as an ethernet connected device when it was part of a WDS wireless network.
