Can't get a ringtone on texts
I just got the LG ally today and it was ringing when I was getting texts and then just stopped. I have checked everything its not on vibrate of an kind.. What is wrong with it
Hello asingram. I understand your concern for not receiving your text message alerts on your device. You will want to go through to verify the notifications are set up correctly on your device.
Go To:
Messaging Apps
Menu
Settings
Scroll to Notification Settings then select your tone
If this does not work, on your device, dial *228 and press send. When provided the options select option 1 to re-program then reset up your notification settings.

1. If you are this unhappy with that phone, and the lost earbuds is the only thing stopping you from taking it back, why do not just buy some earbuds. That way you can get rid of that phone. It all depend upon how much you want to get rid of that phone.
2. Yet if you are stuck with that iPhone, here is something might help you to control the data usage. By design, iPhones do turn off WiFi when they go dormant. So if a download is in progress and so forth when the phone goes dormant, it will switch to use cellular data, if this setting is left on. Therefore, from multi-sources I have learned that if you keep your iPhone connected to a power source, then it will stay connected to the available WiFi. -

Oh nice, there's a PassKeeper application for the iPhone and iPad. Simply install it and it should talk you through steps, otherwise their website is probably a great place to check.

- i updated my iphone 4 software on my other itunes library that is on my other user account on my laptop. my ringtones are not on my phone now but i see them in my library, but my phone is not synced to that library. how can i get my ringtones back without having to sync my phone to the library where my ringtones are and possibly lose everything on my phone ?

Take the following steps:
1) while connected to wifi, toggle off then back on the Show All Music and iTunes Match options shown in my original post. Important: I did this step before, but wasn't connected to wifi, and my music disappeared. Subsequently, I connected to wifi and turned off and then back on those options and everything came back though it was grayed out and my only option was to download music.
2) To get streaming over cellular back, go into Settings>General>Cellular and scroll down to the "Use Cellular Data for:" options and make sure the iTunes option is set to 'On'
The above steps will bring back the streaming capability which seemed to go away when you update to 6.1. It didn't ACTUALLY go away, but something about the update toggled off the iTunes option in step 2 above.
I did a final test by turning off wifi, opening Music app and selecting a song. It played successfully without downloading! Crossing my fingers, but I think I'm good to go!

Can you get reoccurring alerts for text, email an voicemail received? I am too dumb for my smartphone.......I have looked on the forums and cannot find an answer.
I just got my Droid Razr Maxx HD 2 weeks ago and so far I can only find that the "little" green LED light flashes when have a text, email, or voicemail. That light is pathetic..really I can barely see it?
Is there a way to make an audible alert the reoccurrs?

Realize that purchased ringtones can only be downloaded once. You will have to either get them off your computer or your old phone (or buy them again). -

You can only view what phone numbers messaged the phone along with what phone numbers were messaged. That is it though. You can go to your online account. There should be a box on the home screen with a minute usage, text usage and data usage tabs. Just click the text usage and view details. Click view details for messaging. If you want to view the actual content (what is said in the message) you will need a court order to view that.

I'm going to assume the reason your able to get them at home is because your connected to wifi?
Can you do anything else when connected to cellular data?

Mystery of mysteries. Can't get rid of "Glossary" text on Favorites tab.
I consider myself relatively well-versed in chm file compiling and chm related issues, but this one has me stumped...
System Specs;
RH 9 now (initial English help in background below was compiled using RH 7)
Windows 7 64-bit
First, the background -- We use RoboHelp to compile our English CHM. We then decompile the files from the CHM and ship those off for localization. When they come back from translation, we use usually use FAR HTML to recompile the help. Sometimes we use RH (if FAR HTML is being tempermental). And in rare cases, like today, we use both. So today I was working on compiling a Traditional Chinese help we got back from translation recently. I tried using FAR HTML as usual for the initial post-translation compile. I ran into various and sundry compiler errors that made no sense whatsoever, so I decided to try compiling it in RH instead. The compilation made it through, but the Contents and Index tabs weren't displaying the proper Chinese characters. So I took this Traditional Chinese chm that was compiled by RH, decompiled it, and tinkered with .hhc and .hhk file encoding and charsets and used FAR HTML again to compile. And this time compiling worked without a hitch. We got proper characters. Yay! So far so good. Well, sort of. That's just the background.
Now, the problem -- So now, compiling back in FAR HTML from the above decompiled RH 9 files, I'm getting a psuedo Glossary tab I don't want since in our localized versions of the help. (We simply just call an htm containing the glossary info, and tie the htm to the toolbar.) I say "pseudo" because here's what the navigation pane on the compiled help looks lilke:
Notice that the Favorites tab is actually somehow getting named as "Glossary". We don't want this. I want the default "Favorites" text for the tab. If I unregister the hhactivex.dll and recompile, the "Glossary" string on the tab thankfully goes away, showing just "Favorites". If I register the dll again or move the compiled help onto a system with a registered hhactivex.dll, the problem reappears all by itself when the help is launched.
How can I get my Favorites tab back to normal? I suspect this problem is contained somewhere in the HHP file, specifically my Windows definition. But I've tried recreating the hhp, and the window definition many times, but it still appears. I even at one point tried removing the Favorites tab but then the mystery "Glossary" text moves onto infesting the Search tab.

Is RH somehow still doing something to it even though technically I'm not using it to compile? Is there some other setting or file somewhere that could be controlling this or is it just a compiler bug that I've never noticed?Thanks Cara, but I'm not sure if that's the same thing. In this problem the Favorites tab in the CHM was showing up with the word "Glossary" in it. Anyway, it's water under the bridge now for me. Things are better now that we're localizing our Engish RH project directly, instead of our old way of decompiling the English chms and sending the decompiled htms.

I recently updated my iphone software to 6.0.1 and my ringtones did not get restored. The ringtones are lised in my library but I can't get them added to my phone. When I click on the button to sync my phone, it does nothing.

Try unchecking the tones and syncing, then re-checking them and syncing again. -
How can i get my ringtones on iPhone without directly syncing iTunes
I currently use match and the iPhone 5. I chose not to driectly sync with iTunes and all is fine except I no longer have my ringtones. How can I get my old ringtones on the new iPhone. I can't find them with Match. Thanks.
They won't be in Match. You'll have to sync them to your phone.

I have a new LG Lucid 3 and the text message indicator says I have a new message, but I do not. Messaging is empty when I click on it. How can I get rid of the "1" indicator? I tried turning the phone on and off and that did not work.
Thanks for trying, Anzivina! You've done some strong troubleshooting. Although I do wish it had resolved this matter, I believe we still have options. You've indicated that you've done a factory reset. Can you walk me through the steps you took to get there? Also, after the factory reset, how long before this message indicator appeared again? Was it before or after you restored all your personal data?

Can't receive calls on all 3 of our phones
We can't send or receive calls on any of our 3 phones. We can call out to other phones. When we have those people call us back it goes right to voicemail. When we try to call each others phones it goes right to voicemail.
