Can't get an e1000g based nic to work

Hi,
I have an HP NC360T network adapter, which is based on the Intel 82571EB chipset, in my Solaris 10 10/08 server, and I just can't get it to work.
When I boot the server, it sees the 2 ports. I can plumb them; I can setup the IP address and everything, but when I try to ping anything on that network, it just doesn't work. If I try to ping that address from another host on the same subnet, same, no response.
I am running the Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection, Driver Ver. 5.2.13.1, which I believe is the latest version.
Sometimes, it will work for a couple of seconds after I up'd the card and then it would stop. I get no error messages anywhere and I am at a bit of a loss.
I tried to snoop the interface and the only traffic I see is ARP request. I have tried to add an entry in the arp table for a specific host and then try to ping it again, to no avail. At that point, all I see in snoop is the ICMP packets.
Is there anything I can do to make the e1000g driver more verbose?
The other thing I should mention is that the card is a PCI Express (x4) card and the only slot I had available was a PCI Express (x16) slot, so I plugged it there.
Everything I have read seems to indicate that this should work, and I am at a complete loss, so any idea is more than welcome.

I have the same problem.
I ordered this one for using as interconnects between a cluster server, but even when used as main interface, it does not see any trafic.
The speed negotiation seems to be ok, If I unplug and plug it in, I see the correct messages.
Driver via modinfo is 5.2.13.
To get it working, I boot the server with a knoppix cd, and then the interface works.
Then boot in solaris, and it works for some time, but is very unreliable.
When one port stops, all ports on this interface stops.
The card is a 82571EB, with dual ports.
I hope someone has a solution to this ????

Yes, you can!
You need to make sure that you are using: "Adobe CSAW Indesign" and not "Adobe CWSAW".
Also you need to hack the manifest.xml and write someting like this:
<HostList>
<Host Name="IDSN" Version="[7.0,10.9]" />
</HostList>
To get it to load in CC 14.

Just sounds the ding, alert, can still slightly navigate the program but can not use any other tools after clicking warp text. I just have to open task manager and close the program. not sure if I'm doing something wrong or maybe I just need to uninstall and re install. Having trouble finding out how to uninstall and reinstall because the program came pre installed on my desktop.

It actually sounds like the warp text window is opening off screen.
Resetting the photoshop elements 10 preferences should fix it.
*Press and hold the Shift+Ctrl+Alt keys just after you start the launch of the photoshop elements 10 editor
*Keep holding the keys down until you get a dialog asking if you want to delete the adobe photoshop elements setting file
*Press Yes

Be patient with the download, it takes some time ... When it has downloaded, follow the install instructions. It works well.
I use the printer through usb but my wife uses wireless from her PC laptop.

So it seem's that I can't get my HP laserjet p1102w to work with airprint. I got it to send out it's own Wi-Fi signal, and i get in touch with that signal on my iPad 3. But when I wan't to print something out from Pages, then it says that it can't find any airprinters.
I tried to update the firmware several times, but it still doesn't work. Any suggestions to what I can do?

As a work-around you can also use the HP eprint method which is available with your printer. The application (HP Home & Biz) is available for free in the apple catalogue.

I was out of town for a few days. I had no issue installing the driver on Mountain Lion (10.8.2). What specifically happens when you try to install?

Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
Install the App from the App Store.
Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.
