Can't get animimated gif to appear

On my iweb Home page I've done both drag and drop and insert of an animated gif. It appears in iWeb, but after publishing it does not appear at all on the page where I placed it.
Any ideas? I also used image ready and created the same as a .swf file, but also in this case it does not appear after being published.
Note: I am using Firefox and I just had an idea. I when to the page with Safari and it does appear there, but it shows up like a quicktime movie as it has a controller and I have to press play. I would not have wanted the controller and wanted it to play automatically.

Maybe it's not using the latest drag and drop file. Here's what I'd do:
In your page in iWeb, delete the animated gif. Save your work.
Go to username/Library/Application Support/iWeb
Control-click on Domain file. Select 'show package contents'.
Drill down and find any 'animated.gif_1', 'animated.gif' files, (or whatever you called them). Move them out of the package folder, eg to Desktop (just in case you need them again).
Close windows.
Re-open iWeb - it'll warn you that some assets are missing. Ignore it.
Now re-drag the latest animated gif into the page.
See what happens when you publish.

Also using IPad 2 I am able to get the ITunes to accept the user name and same password as the Mac.
However, the only way I can see the 'Home sharing; icon is in Music on the Ipad. When I tap on the Icon it asks for a password.
When I give the same password, it is rejected.

Personally I think the iOS devices are poor at reconnecting - Airplay establishes that a link is available but when the iPhone/iPad has been away from the house and rejoins the network i think AppleTV already thinks it's connected with a different IP address and fails to recognise it has joined the network again with new credentials.
Something along those lines anyway.
I find that a combination of restarting AppleTV, router and iOS device tends to fix it, but not for everyone.

Oh nice, there's a PassKeeper application for the iPhone and iPad. Simply install it and it should talk you through steps, otherwise their website is probably a great place to check.

iPhone 4S and Windows XP the first thing that jumps to mind is that the iPhone 4S needs a USB 2.0 connection to sync with iTunes. Check your computers user guide to see if the PC has a compatable USB 2.0 input.

Extensions can sometimes be the cause of problems. If the problem does not occur in Safe Mode, then you can disable your extensions one-by-one until you find out which one is causing the problem. See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]

How can I get still photos to appear in menu templates?

I can't get photos to appear in the menu templates in Premiere Elements 11, whether I drag them in or Browse them out. I tried two different templates, and 5 different photo file formats. From what I'm reading online, this is a known bug that has been around since v. 9. How is that possible that a major element of a top-of-the-line video editor doesn't even work? I failed to mention that I did update to 12.1 before my last failure. And I still had the problem. So far, I have only deleted the Prefs file and not the entire folder, mostly because the program went into permanent crash mode and I couldn’t even get it to run, let alone try editing my project. That’s when I reinstalled it.
The project is simply a PowerPoint presentation with a soundtrack, which I exported from PowerPoint as an mp4 file. It’s only 7:30 minutes long. So it’s a very tiny file. There is only one menu page and no scene menus.
Yes, I have successfully burned it to disk, once with the gray rectangle on the menu (to confirm whether it would show as a gray rectangle on the TV screen, which it did), and once with the picture on the menu, the one time I succeeded in getting the picture to appear in the menu.

I am trying to use share a Hitachi TourPro 2tb external hd using my Airport Extreme base station. I can't get the hd to appear in the disks section of the airport utility though.

I've tried using a powered and non-powered USB hub without success. Plugging the hd directly into the airport didn't work either. The hd functions fine when plugged into a USB port on 3 other computers so it doesn't appear to be a hd issue. I've reset the airport with and without the hd attached but no success in getting the hd to appear in the airport utility. I followed all of the instructions in Apple's Airport support section but no luck.
All my pc's are running on XP Pro (service pack3). The airport extreame is working flawlessly except for this one particular issue which, unfortunately, was one of the main reasons I purchased it. I've looked through numerous discussions already in the community and tried some suggestions such as attempting to map the drive using the airport's IP address but still no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions or can tell me what I'm missing in the set-up process?

When trying to troubleshoot my problem I discovered a forum that was saying certain NTFS drives work just fine
Apple support says that an NTFS or exFAT drive cannot be used when connected to the AirPort Extreme.
I suppose it is possible that someone might have been using some type of special software on the drive that might perform a "conversion", but without more details, it is hard to know.
Note: ExFAT and NTFS formats aren't supported.

The dashes aren't necessary for the actual call so the Blackberry doesn't waste space (memory) holding the character.

Can't get iphone 4 to appear in itunes

Hi All
I can't get my iphone 4 to appear on my intel iMac. OS is snow lepard and up to date as is iphone OS. I've followed the apple instructions for iphone not appearing in the devices list and have un and reinstalled itunes. Still no joy. ipod + ipod nano both appear. The phone charge from USB also.
Any answers.

Unfortunately no and the problem is back.
As I commented I've been through the whole process of trying differing USB ports on my mac, restarting and resetting the phone, restarting the computer and then uninstalling and reinstalling itunes. All as per instructions on the iphone support page. Despite all this the phone would still not show up on itunes.
I also tried several other macs and the phone still wouldn't show up.
I thought the problem had sorted itself out after yet another phone reset last night but it is happening again. At the moment the phone will occasionally appear and sync. The phone does however charge through every USB and on every computer I try.
Unless anyone else has any bright ideas I can only assume it's an intrinsic phone issue and I'll sen it back to apple for replacement.

My list includes Adblock Plus 1.3.8; Duplicate This Tab 1.2; Java Console 6.0.25; Java Quick Starter 1.0; Microsoft .NET Framework Assistant 0.0.0; New Tab Homepage 0.4.3. Nothing unusual is indicated for either Java item, Console having been updated 4/27/2011.

If you view Firefox in full screen can you get favourite toolbar to appear with the address bar?

When you put Firefox in full screen all the toolbars disappear. When you hover over the top of the screen the address bar and 'open tabs' bar appear. Is it possible to get the favourites toolbar to appear as well?
If not is there any other way to access favourites without having to close Firefox?

You can also toggle that setting if you hover the mouse to the top and right click a toolbar to open the toolbar context menu: Hide Toolbars.
That won't show the bookmarks toolbar AFAIK even if it is selected. You can access the bookmarks via the Bookmarks menu button if you place that button on a visible Navigation Toolbar or Tab bar.
Add code to userChrome.css below the @namespace line to make the Bookmarks toolbar visible in full screen mode.
