Can't get anything to play in iTunes. Need help please.

I have had iTunes for over 2 years. I upgraded to 6.0.1 probably 2 months ago and have had no problems until last week. Since last week, I can open iTunes but none of my songs will play at all. If I press play or double click on a tune the name comes up in the box at the top/middle of the screen, but it won't play. It's not that it plays and I can't hear it - it just does not play at all. If I use the cursor to drag the little diamond to the middle of the song it still doesn't play.
I have a dell desktop, probably 4 years old (2400 model maybe?), and I use windows xp operating system.
Another issue that developed around the same time is I am not getting sound at all from real player or other players. I do get sound when I use my musicmatch jukebox.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just made a copy of my iTunes Music folder onto my desktop. Than deleted all my songs from my library, but not to the recycle bin. I left them in the folder but out of the library.
Than I re-imported them into my library.
so this guy from my local appleshop told me that ...
it doesn't solve my problem !!!
So, ok, maybe we have to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it and then importing our copied music file again.
I'm gonna ask a friend ...

Perhaps the copyright holders chose to remove them. What album were you after?

There really isn't any workaround to the cost. You can't get the parts needed to fix it yourself. Only Apple has those parts and they do not sell them to end users.
Sure you could take it apart and clean everything and the screen might start working again but then it might not. Depending on what cause it to stop working in the first place. Like something got shorted out.

I can not activate my iPhone 2g through iTunes need help

i bought a iphone 2g and itunes will not allow me to activate. I connect to itunes and it connects but when it is done doing what it is supposed to it says were sorry were unable to continue with your activation at this time please try again later or contact apple. i just called att to check if phone was bad but they checked and said it was ok. TS3899 I have a problem with emails disappearing from my iphone. These are emails that I have put into folders to keep. When I go back to get them they are gone. Need help please.

I have had issues with my iphone deleting emails without my consent. It seems as if it doesn't want to hold onto emails for an extended amount of time. I use my iphone for all work related emails and personal. I have created folders to store important emails in related to work. I found when I need to retrieve those emails, they simply are not there. I was told to delete the email account from my iphone, then to add it back into phone. I have done this and things seem fine, then after a few days it no longer works. I have researched this topic and see that I am not the only one with this problem. From what I can find no one seems to have the answer. Please help?

I click play or double click a song, and the play button dissappears and offers the pause button as if the song is going to play, but then it doesn't. The diamond thing on the status bar doesnt even move. I checked faqs but I dont have this itunes on any other computers, I can't seem to figure this one out.

I can't get music to play on iTunes.

Whenever attempting to play a song on iTunes, either by double clicking on a song or by right clicking on the song and selecting the play option, it will pop up at the top in the media player, but wil sit idle at 0:00 and never play. This happens on every song I select. What can I do to fix this issue?

I would be concerned too if my music didn't playback in iTunes. I found an article that specifically addresses issues with the music not playing and the playhead not progressing in iTunes. I recommend following the steps in the following article:

Can't get anything to play on flashplayer

Under manage in tool it shows my shockwave is there but when I got to play something it says I do not have flashplayer. I can not install or uninstall and I don't know why. This is driving me nuts HELP!!
It shows : FLASH player is either not installed or not enabled. I think it is but it isn't showing. What can I do to fix this?

Google Chrome comes with its own Flash Player preinstalled.

Can't get movie to play on itunes!

I just purchased and downloaded the movie Money Ball on itunes. After it finished downloading it showed up under the movies tab, but when I click it it brings me to the menu for Money Ball (Where it says play movie, scenes extras, etc...) and will not play. I have severel other movies under the movie tab, if i move the mouse over them it says "play movie." With Money Ball, it does not do that. Also, I was trying to sync this movie to my ipad. Each of the other movies shows up under the movies tab on ipad, but for some reason this movie will not! Please help

I received a 32GB iPod Touch yesterday as a gift. I also recently bought the movie The Hangover and downloaded the Digital Copy into iTunes. I can watch the movie in iTunes, but it will not play on my iPod Touch. It shows that it is on my iPod Touch, but when I click on it, it says "The movie could not be played". I was wondering if anyone knew what was wrong or if you are having the same problem? Everything else on my iPod is working great! Also, i synced the movies to my old iPod and the movies work (My battery just does not last long at all on my old one.) I have a 14 hour flight Thursday morning so I would really appreciate being able to watch movies and having something to do haha! Thanks for the help!

I made my main account a parental control account and when I accessed the account created as admin, at the Parental Control options I deleted my main account and now I can't get back in it. I need help with this problem.

I made my administrator account a parental control account, at the time of creating it, the system asked for my administrator password, to restart the computer, and the new account was created. When I accessed that account at the parental control menu I could see my main account on the list and i deleted the account from that list, and now i'm trying to get back to it but I'm not able to because every time i restart the computer brings me back to the account I created. I searched for help on the web and it says to go to users and select the account I want to restore but I can't do it. Please help.
