Can't get Apple ID since email account gone

When I go to enter my password to make a purchase on the app store, the email address listed is correct. However, when I am doing the update function in the app store window, the dialog window that comes up instead lists an email I no longer have and the password is not correct. Since I have no access to this email address anymore, I have no way of knowing how to change it. What can I do about this?

For those who do not have a functional Apple ID Store account because your email is no longer active.
Goto appleid.apple.com and reset your email address there.
Click "Manage your acount" and put in your "non-working" account and password.
There will be an option to send a verification to another email address to verify.
Check your new email address (that will be your new apple id store account) and follow the instructions.
Then your done!

This can be done from the iPhone... Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account.
Note that MobileMe is to be discontinued this summer and replaced by iCloud, so she may want to set up an iCloud mail account, which still has an @me.com address.

Can't get into talk talk email account in Mozilla, you have undefined new mails in your inbox message. No problem with Internet Explorer though

I've been using the Firefox browser for nearly a year now but for the past three days I can't open my tiscali email account via Firefox. The message "you have undefined new mails in your inbox" comes up. Talk Talk technical help says there is a problem with Firefox and advised me to use Internet Explorer. I can get into my account through Explorer but would much prefer to use Firefox so please help me out.

Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

I have two accounts set up on my iPhone - my gmail account and my work email account which has its own domain name. I have been working with this for th past couple of days trying to figure it out by researching on here and around online and I can't find jack. What have I set up wrong? Do I simply have to let this wheel spin forever?

Can't get rid of duplicate email accounts itunes imports from outlook

Hey everybody,
iTunes imports my email account information from Outlook and for some reason it finds duplicate email accounts. I only have one .pst file which only has one of each email account attached to it but iTunes finds duplicates.
So in iTunes, when I tick one of a duplicate account and click apply the other duplicate will tick itself.
I have no idea what is going on and I'm tempted to reinstall outlook, itunes, delete my pst file, restore my iPhone and just start all over again!
But I really don't want to do that.

Have the same problem. Sometimes end up with in excess of 10 duplicated calendars (they show as "all mobileme calendars" but do not have the individual calendars listed) on my iphone although the correct calendars only appear once on both mobileme and Mac. Have never had sync turned on in itunes.
A tiresome workaround to delete these from the phone is to go into settings/mail,contacts,calendar/your mobileme account and turn calendars off. Say yes to delete calendar on iphone. When this is finished turn calendars back on, then exit and open the calendar. One duplicate should have been removed. Repeat ad infinitum.
Problem is the duplicates keep coming back (even without connecting to the Mac). Anyone with ideas for a permanent solution?

How can I get back into my email account?

I hope there is a fairly easy solution to this because I'm not good with computers. I cannot receive any emails on my .mac.com account as the reason states "reason for failure 550.5.1.1 unknown or illegal alias". Also it does not recognize my password. When I first got my computer there wasn't a problem sending or receiving mail, however, I have not used the iMac for a few months, and now I have this problem. I appreciate any help that is written in Dummies language.

Thank you Long Lane, but my software is uptodate, and although I have reset my password, still nothing. In "Accounts Info" it lists incoming server as mail.mac.com (which it won't let me change). Is that what it should say? Also "description" is same info as email address. How can I be an illegal alias, I'm the only one that uses the computer

Claudius,either you didn't read my post, or you jumped to conclusions. I had a skype account that was created using a microsoft account (NOT THE ACCOUNT I AM USING NOW). PURE MICROSOFT ACCOUNT NO OTHER ACCOUNT LINKING.I had to change the primary mail of that account.I was told "no can do" by skype support.I found that if I went to account settings and clicked on the link on the line below the one that said "MICROSOFT etc" (labeled something along the lines of "TV or Device") I got the opportunity to set the password of the "live:username" account (WHICH YOU COINCIDENTALLY HAVE TO DO IF YOU WANT TO USE SMART TVs ETC).Once that was done, I COULD SUCCESSFULLY DO WHAT SKYPE SUPPORT SAID WAS IMPOSSIBLE- I could change the primary mail address. once that was done, and NOT BEFORE, I linked the account to a facebook account as well, just to be sure I have more than one way to access the skype account. Within the warranty period, unless the failure was caused by accidental damage it will be replaced for free.

Yes. There is no device limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. Each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes on the same computer.
If both iPhones are synced with the same Address Book under the same computer login account, then the contacts on each iPhone will be the same. With the Address Book on a Mac, you can sync select Address Book Groups only with an iPhone instead of the entire Address Book and all groups. You and/or your wife can create an Address Book Group or multiple Groups to be synced with each other's iPhone only. You can transfer the settings for one email account to one iPhone and the settings for another email account to the other iPhone.
