Can't get Audio form my 8510p to my Moto Rokr S9-HD

Recently I got the Bluetooth S9-HD to listen to music from my 8510p but have not been able to make it work. I am running Windows 7 (Eval) on the laptop. The laptop can see the headset and can connect to it. I see it, correctly labeled as S9-HD in the 'Devices and Printers' list. The headset indicates that it is not connected to anything however. I get a screen that tells me “This device has been successfully added to this computer" Soon after the pairing a message comes up that there are no drivers for the headset and I am directed to Broadcom's website. I am directed to download 'SetupBtwDownloadSE.exe'. When I run it the installer passes 'Detect Bluetooth Device' but stalls about 10% into Validate Bluetooth Device (I have left it here overnight and came in to find it still at this step). I called Broadcom support and the operator sent me to an automated message that said I should review the website and then hung up on me. (I called 3 times before they told me that they don’t have any tech support ) When I go to Sound under the Control Panel I cannot select the headset as a playback device. In the Device Manager I see that there are 4 listings for 'Bluetooth Peripheral Device' with the 'Warning" symbol next to the entries. Clicking on any of the entries pops a window that says that "The drivers for this Device are not installed". When I click install drivers I get a message that 'Windows was unable to install your Bluetooth Peripheral Device". I have removed all these devices from the list and they all come back when I pair the headset again. I have a Bluetooth mouse installed and see it listed under the HID section of the Device Manager. A friend who has a headset like mine (on a Dell) showed me their headset is listed under the HID section. I found a Bluetooth driver for the 8510p (Original Broadcom Bluetooth Driver ‘sp43050.exe’) on the HP website but it did not run successfully. It threw the error “Your system does not meet the operating system requirements. Update has been cancelled. (9998) Other notes: The headset uses A2D2 Bluetooth protocolThe headset works as I have paired it with me phoneI have removed the headset from the Devices and Printers list and re-paired it several times. I have rebooted several times. Please help!

I just found the solution to the broadcom installer issue and it makes me feel even worse about Broadcom's installer: instead of running the driver directly, save the installer to your desktop (by selecting "save" instead of "Run") and run it from there. It will pass validation without problems.
Yes, the instructions in the Broadcom site tell you to do just that, but it is amazingly lame nonetheless that if you click on Run it won't work. Again, why can't they just provide an .exe or .msi driver installer instead of building a "smart" installer that only gets in the way?

I had not tried it with mine since upgrading to iOS 5, so I just did. I'm using a small Vizio HDTV. I did not try YouTube, but did try several videos and musical numbers. In all cases there was sound, including stereo when the source had it.
I assume you are getting sound from the iPad when the adapter is not connected, so the volume is not turned down. Dah*veed's suggestion to reset may be what you need.

The audio inputs on Macs are line level inputs and not mic inputs. You need a mic with a built in preamp (battery powered) or more conveniently a USB mic or bluetooth headset.

If you still have the form open, on the Design tab you can use the "Ctrl+Z" to undo changes multiple times (CMD+Z on Mac).
One thing to note for future, if you have a form that is in a good state and you are going to experiment with more changes you can (assuming a paid account that allows more than 1 form) Duplicate the form so you can work in the duplicate and then copy those changes back once you are satisfied with them.

Can't get audio to work on my Panasonic Plasma smart TV when I connect a Toslink optical mini to Toslink optical digital to my mid 2009 MacBook pro?

My MAc book pro 5.5 is mid 2009, Processor speed 2.26 GHZ MacOS X VERSION 10.68 Leopard. My Tv is a Panasonic Plasma smart TV TC-P50ST60. I ordered from Amazon a Toslink optical mini to Toslink optical digital cable meant for Macbook pro 2009 forward. I changed the settings on both TV and Mac but I still can't get audio to work on TV. I believe my Mac can't see the audio output from the TV. Any advice with step by step instructions on how to fix it? could it be they sent me defective cables? Thank You for your help.

When I spoke with Apple I made sure I told them that my Macbook Pro was Mid 2009 and he ensured me again that those to cords will work. I realize that with the newer models it does put through both sound and audio but because of my model I don't think it does obviously because I have played with both Sound on my computer and Sound on the TV and nothing works. Sometime Apple can be good but man some people lol he even told me he verified my computer model on the computer and that's what came up.
So new question would be what kind of cable would I be looking for to get audio? Anyone before I call back to Apple and see what they say hahah

What do you mean exactly? Are you wanting to output the audio to your iPhone while say watching a video on your Apple TV? If so, I'm afraid it's not possible. Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with sound on your iPhone. I recommend the following steps for an issue like this:
Verify that the volume is set to a level you would normally be able to hear.
Ensure that there is nothing plugged in to the headset jack or the dock connector.

Try the video app or YouTube app and see what you get. No all of the apps are AirPlay capable.

How can l get audio only from my Apple TV 3 to output through Iphone 5 using Airplay or something else so l can watch my Apple TV and listen to it through my iphine headphones without waking the family at night

I am wanting to remotely listen to the audio form my Apple Tv3 (about 13feet away).

Not possible. Audio can be output to airplay enabled speakers via ATV settings and then headphones connected to them.

Can't get audio to work for HD DVD

Anyone have any insight into what audio enoding works for HD DVD? I've tried both aiff and ac-3 to go along with MPEG2 video and my Toshiba HD A2 won't play back sound from either type. Help!

I have used both on the Toshiba A2. I assume the build file had sound when you tested it in the Apple DVD Player?
I have not played with the audio settings much on the Toshiba, do not know if there is a setting there that can change things.
I can take a look and run some tests to see if I can get it happening. Also if you like I can put together a small project to see if you can also get it to run.

Can only get audio when trying to AirPlay from Dish app

Since updating to IOS 6 I only get audio when air playing from my Dish Network app on my iPad. I can get audio and video when mirroring; however the quality is horrible and it doesn't fill my screen. I was able to get audio and video both before updating my iPad and Apple TV. The recent updates have been a disaster!!

Usually these types of limitations are added by the app developer, especially with media apps like these. However I would first try Resetting the devices. I found the best way to reset the iPad is to close all apps in the recently used app list. Double tap the Home button to reveal the list at the bottom then tap and hold one icon till they wiggle and display a minus button. Tap the to close all apps them press the Home button to get back to the home screen. Hold the Sleep button till "Slide to power off" appears. Once it has shut down completely press the Sleep button till you see the Apple icon.
The procedure is similar to resarting your computer when it starts acting flaky. iPads are just a hand head computer and rarely gets shut down or reset so it would be similar to running your computer for months at a time without shutting it down.
