Can't Get Blackberry Onto The Internet

Hi Everyone!
Sorry if this has been asked before. I've been given a Blackberry Pearl on the T Mobile network. My SIM card is on Virgin UK so it lets me make calls and receive text messages but whenever I try to get on the internet it says there's a problem and to talk to my service provider.
I've spoken to Virgin who said the following settings need to be entered but I can't find where to do it, all the places I've tried haven't worked. If I can't get on the internet with Virgin I'll have to move to another network, I just want to try everything before I have to do that! Thanks so much for any help you can give - Virgin gave me the below settings:
GPRS:
Name - Virgin WAP GPRS.
Homepage - www.virgin.com/mobile/wap/
IP Address - 193.030.166.003
Access Point - goto.virginmobile.uk
Port - 9201
Username - user
Password - leave blank
Some phones need slightly different settings so, if those settings don't work for you, try entering the following:
GPRS:
Name - Virgin WAP GPRS
Homepage - www.virgin.com/mobile/wap/
IP Address - 193.030.166.004
Access Point - goto.virginmobile.uk
Port -8080
Username - user
Password - leave blank

I have an old Firefox. Every time I update to a new version, I can't get back on the internet. It tells me it can't find the server. So I have to uninstall the updated version and go back to my old version.

    Check your firewall settings.

  • Connected to the network, but can't get out to the Internet

Here’s my problem… After my previous router died, I recently installed a Netgear wireless router (WGT624NA) with 128-bit WEP security, and created a new wireless network. My Powerbook G4 found the network, and I was able to put in my WEP password, and everything seemed to work fine … for a while. In the last couple of days, I can’t get to any Internet sites.
I’m connected to the wireless network fine, with a strong signal level, and I seem to be able to Ping out. But when I try to go to (any) Internet site on Safari, I now get “Safari can’t connect to the server”. I’ve gone through the Network Setup Assistant, put in the correct WEP code, and after hitting “continue” from the “You’re now ready to try connecting… “ screen, get “Unable to establish a network connection”.
I seem to be connected, but can’t get out. Help.

    Hi there,
A UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) is a battery back up, so if you power goes out you can finish up what you're working on and shut down normally.
I had a similar incident this week, power went out all computers, modem and router went out. After power was restored all started up fine and looked good. Wireless router showed I was connected to the internet but could not surf any site. I had changed my email account password several weeks earlier (email account provided by my ISP) and did not think this had anything to do my boradband connection, but I was wrong.
To make a long story short, I had to update the password as it related to my broadband connection. The connection was there, it just did not recognize my new password because I had changed it... If you control the account and you've changed any passwords associated with account yu will have to update or your landlord will have to update... make sense?

  • Can't get out on the internet

I have an iPad 2. After I choose to go back to default preference I can not log in on my Wi-Fi. It finds the right netword but still doesn't work. And I can not type in the password.
(It has worked before. I even tried to write in username and password on manual, but I guess I don't have to.)

Try forgetting the network - restart - and then try to join again.
Settings>WiFi>Your Network Name- tap the blue arrow next to the network name>Forget This Network.
Restart your iPad and then go back to Settings>WiFi>Tap on your network name and see if you can enter the password to join the network.
You can also try rebooting your router - unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.

  • Can I get apps on the internet?

I need to know because I cannot enter my Apple ID because the right side of my screen isn't responding so I cant press the 0 that is in my email.

The other way to get apps on your iPhone is to download them to your computer (the one you use for syncing your phone) and then sync the new apps to the phone.

  • Extreme Network - Can't get 2 Macs on internet

So, I have an Extreme base station with 3 remotes (one for printer). I added a second mac, and can't get both on the internet at one time. It looks like the base station is set up to connect to the internet and work as a router for hte computers (its a PPOE connection), but I can't get it to work that way -- instead, each computer has to PPOE in and only one at a time seems to work. Any ideas what the problem might be? Appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

    Welcome to the discussions,

  • My wi fi is connecting up fine on my ipod but i can't get onto the internet

My wi fi is connecting up fine on my ipod but i can't get onto the internet. My ipod has been working fine until now and i have tried re- setting the network settings and all the other options that have been given but nothing seems to make any difference. If i try to get onto internet at all on my ipod, for instance, facebook and safari it will just come up no internet connection, even when the bar is full at the top. Can anyone help ?

Despite the WiFi sign at the top you may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPod a valid IP address. To check on this go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address shown starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix for this can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPod (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If this problem continues you should test your iPod on some other networks. Since you say your iPod was "working fine" either it or your router may have developed a hardware problem. If the iPod works OK on other networks your router may have a problem.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

From your description above I conclude that the WiFi transmitter and receiver of your iPad appear to be working, but I abviously cannot tell how well they are working.
Have you reset your iPad already?
Press the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until only the white Apple logo appears on the screen - usually 10 to 15 seconds - ignore anything else.

  • Downloaded coupon from shopathome and now can't get onto the internet how do I remove it

In order to get access to download coupons I had to upload their information and toolbar which is visible on my problem loading page from Mozilla. I was able to get this far by going into windows safe mode.
I can not get on line by Internet Explorer or MSN. The address is correct. I fear that a virus maybe backdoor or simply the ShopAtHome site has locked me out of the internet. All other computers in the home work on the internet. Is there a way to go back before I downloaded this or is there a way to delete it

    Instructions from the ShopAtHome.com web site ( http://www.shopathome.com/pages/faqs.aspx#gen13):<br />
    '''''For Windows Users:'''''<br />
'''''To uninstall the Toolbar, go to your Windows Control Panel. Next, click on "Add/Remove Programs". Our Toolbar is listed as ShopAtHome.com Toolbar or SelectRebates. Click on the appropriate name, then click on Change/Remove. With the "SelectRebates" version, you will see a box which gives you a choice of uninstalling both the Toolbar and SelectRebates software, or only the Toolbar. (Please note that if you uninstall the SelectRebates Software, the Toolbar is also removed.) Make your selection to uninstall only the Toolbar; or both the SelectRebates Software and Toolbar, and click "ok." With the ShopAtHome.com Toolbar you will not see any box, the software will simply go through the uninstall process and remove the necessary files. The Toolbar and/or Software are removed after your reboot your computer. '''''

This type of pest is usually installed along with software you download from the internet; generally free programs, but not always. Carefully watch for "extra" items that will be installed and un-check or opt-out of them.

  • My airport is connected, but I can't get onto the internet?

My PC can browse, just my mac keeps saying can't find DNS address. I called my service provider too, they re-configured the network for me, everything else works, just my mac still can't get online. The airport bar is full, I'm getting good signal. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Nope, but the same thing's happening here!
