Can't get bridge to link to cs3

Recently I noticed that bridge does not link to photoshop. The bridge icon on cs3 screen does not open bridge. I can open bridge
manually but when an image is selected on bridge I try to open it in cse and get a message "windows cannot find F:\program files adobe photoshop/photoshop.exe
Bridge is trying to link to drive F and there is no F drive. How to I change the bridge to photoshop link from Drive F to Drive H?
I had a computer tech, not a photoshop expert, look at this and she could not figure out how to correct this link error.
Any help would be appreciated

Well it was meant to be light-hearted but the message is still valid. With complex and temperamental programs you mess with the defaults at your peril.
If you have no room on your system drive for program files I suggest you repartition.

That camera model has been supported since ACR 8.3 and it is most certainly supported by ACR 8.6 and ACR 8.7 (beta).
Either you have damaged, corrupt image files, or a faulty Photoshop and/or ACR installation.
If there are no privacy issues, you can post one of your files to the FTP service of your choice (such as Dropbox or yousendit.com), post the link to it, and someone here can take a look at it for you.

How can I get a menu link to show active state in Spry?

I want to have my Spry menu bar show the page I am on as a highlighted with background-color and text-color being highlighted and different than the rest of the menu bar. It seems that there are two ways that people talk about doing this.
One is to modify the a:hover and a:focus styles in the Spry assets. If this is the answer, I am missing something. After much experimentation, I actually created a style for a:hover (which is rollover only) and a:focus (which is when you click on the bar). It has no bearing on the state of the menu when it is showing the page as the page the user is on. If someone can give me a clue whether the CSS in Spry assets is the way to go, please provide specific code that would go in a specific place. Generalities are not helping me go to a specific solution.

So that you do not have to repeat the style rules in every document, add the rules to the existing SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css. The class is added to the menu item that has the current document, in our case above it will be index.html or similar. The class will be placed on menu items that correspond to the current page.

What program or application am I missing in Firefox that is present in IE? How can the Mozilla one be restored as it was effective for so very long till the last month or so?
In one site I had INTERNAL subheads that when I would attempt to click Mozilla Firefox would not open, as they had BEFORE Mozilla Firefox had sent out its update a month or two ago. I would then have to go down that one-page site to about page 8 just to find that subheads. Why does it not work?
Now the next problem is that this Firefox site requires that I CONFIRM my question. How am I supposed to do that when there is NO "confirm" box or panel in that page to click on?

OK, I went to Private Browsing to change Never remember history to choose Use custom settings for history and then clicked on Permanent Private Browsing Mode and clicked on the bottom OK. I then went to my Firefox messages and clicked on that internal-linked multimessage and then clicked on a link. It went there for only 1 second and reverted to the top of the message, not moving on further clicking.
I then went to tools > options > privacy only to find that the default Never remember history was back in the panel. It wasn't stable at Use custom settings for history. I tried this several times. It always reverts either right away or after that 1-second success. One time it lasted an amazing 3 seconds before reverting to the top of the multimessage e-mail. So THAT failed too.
OK, so then I went to Internet Explorer and called up that message. Clicked on an internal link and watched it fail for 1 second and then clicked again and it held the message for a long time. It's something in Firefox not Int. Explorer. Please see the image to let you know what I am doing.

(kensingtonconcertseries.com),.....then my client wanted to change
the name of one of his pages from 'Marold Duo' to
'Rodewald-Morebello Duo.' All of my links to that page are to the
original page(MaroldDuo.html). Arrrhhhhh!!! Is there anyway I can
change the name of the page and have all the links within the
website update automatically?
I figured out my problem...make a copy and rename it and put
it on the server. Simple....eventually, I'll have to get rid of the
original file, but for now works well.

Where can I get alternative export codecs for CS3?

I have an application requiring exporting of Flash animations to run on an embedded media player. This accepts a number of video formats. The most reliable I have found so far is DivX. The player supports DivX versions 3.11, 4.x & 5.x. The export codec in CS3 is DivX 6.8.5 which is not compatible with the player.
The player also supports MPEG2 but the quality is not very good. Other options are Xvid Mpeg4 video (doesn't work) and MS Mpeg4 video codec V2 & V3 (also not supported in CS3).
I have tried downloading a variety of alternative second source file converters but frankly tied myself in knots. Any idea how I can get around this problem and get a DivX 5.x codec to work natively within CS3?

If you create an actionscript animation in Flash CS3 you can either save it directly as an FLA or output it as an SWF file. However the usual Flash video formats (FLV and SWF) are useless if you want to play a Flash animation on a standalone non-PC based embedded media player since most of these only support things like AVI, MPEG2/4 and DivX. Flash does offer the user the ability to export an actionscript animation in a number of alternative video formats via File> Export> Export Movie. Of course doing this means that you can't have interactive elements like buttons in your Flash but if all you want is to output a video stream then this function is very useful. However the DivX codec that is included with CS3 is a later version than that supported by my media player.
All I want to do is to be able to add a suitable DivX V5 codec to Flash CS3. Is there such a thing and, if so, how do I install it?

Can't get Bridge CC to work

I have installed Photoshop/Lightroom CC (for photographers) Photoshop will start up but Bridge will not. I tried to update Bridge CC but the update stops and tells me to exit Bridge CS5. To my knowledge it is not running. Ihave CS5 installed on my computer and want to keep it so I can use Illustrator and Indesign so I don 't want to un install it. I have tried rebooting but that does not help -Bridge CC will not start and if I try to Update it on CC it again tells me to shut down Bridge CS5. HELP!

You have CS5 running in background. In Bridge preferences/advanced uncheck "start bridge at login".

Can't get a duplicate link to work in InDesign 2014

For some reason one hyperlink in an Indd file isn't working. All the others work when I output to PDF. It's a duplicate link. I've pasted the link in a ton of times with no luck. Even tried cut and paste the same line of copy that appears elsewhere in the document. Can't make it work. Any ideas?

The problem lies with the structure of the data table in 'index2.html' and the way that Spry utilises that data.

Spry will regard the first row as a header row, thus no problem.
The second and third rows will be used as data rows, but their structure is not the same. Hence this will confuse Spry and the data will be incorrectly reflected.

Here we have got the header row, thus no problem, but the repeated is going to be a problem. This will repeat the data collected from the data table in 'index2.html', data that we know that Spry has had a problem with.
In other words, the two widgets will not co-operate with each other. A table structure is too restrictive.
You may like to have a look at using Spry's Sliding Panel or using an Accordion instead of using a table.

How can I get Bridge to connect with my Iphone 5s?

It worked fine with Iphone 4s, but even though the IPhone 5s is connected to my Mac, Bridge will not recognize it. Also, I cannot update to 6.5 in Bridge either for some reason.

Connect your iPhone via the standard USB connector to your computer, open Bridge and if you have not set to open Photodownloader automatically use the command File / Get photo's from camera or use the tiny camera icon with arrow down at in the icon bar top left of bridge window.
This should open Adobe Photodownloader and it should auto select the images and movies but otherwise use the option to select the source. Also study the options available in Photodownloader and use the advance button to get some thumbs of the content on your phone.

If you are inserting links as text and then through Hyperlink adding external link , then you can setup the link to open in a new window.

In case the link is included in any html frame , you can declare target="_blank" which would open the links with a new window.
