Can't get .doc conversion

I can upload and download files but when I choose 'convert to
pdf', the working icon at bottom right spins, the call out says
it's converting - but that's all it will do. I left it running and
took a walk, came back 1.5 hours later and it's still going. 1,499
KB file. I did convert a few files some months ago. Have I expired
or used a limit I am not aware of? I'm sure I only converted 3 so
far (guessing "convert 5 files' means one time, not 5 at a time.)
If this is the casr, it sure would be less rude to have acrobat.com
let me know instead of leave me hanging with a 'converting'
status

Usage was just very high and it was taking a long time to
convert and preview documents. As you all know, Acrobat.com is
still in Beta, so hiccups like this may happen. We are working to
correct the issue.

Can't get docs migrated from oldest TM backup/ but need them

I recently reformatted my imac but had not only done a complete backup onto time machne but had previous backups to time machine as well.
My most recent backups however, for whatever reason do no include alot of the old docs, and files...I was able to reconstruct my most recent files, docs, etc from using the migration assistant from the TM, but I really need the other files from the external TM as well. I am planning to RAID that drive with another and need to reformat that TM drive before RAIDing them. How can I get those old docs, etc to go over to my mac and not over-ride the stuff that is already there? Plus, I cannot seem to get those files over to the mac anyway! (A lot of this stuff are things I need for work and school)

Where can I get docs for Flash Builder?

I've tried numerous places but can't seem to find Flash Builder 4 specific documentation.
I'm working with the examples provided on the adobe labs site (http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashcatalyst/tutorials/) and I was looking for a way to get the value from a service call to word wrap inside of a DataGrid (for example, if the returned value is longer than the row length of my DataGrid, my expectation was that by checking the Word Wrap checkbox inside of the Configure Columns context box would do the trick, but it does not).
It would be great to know where the reference materials are for all of those available properties and values that are listed for each component inside of Flash Builder 4. Otherwise it makes working with this application next to impossible for us noobies to Flex.
Anyone know?

The wordWrap property is listed at http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/gumbo/langref/mx/controls/DataGrid.html under the Properties heading. It can be a bit tricky as the wordWrap property is actually inherited from the ListBase class, so it may be necessary to toggle the "Show Inherited Public Properties" so the inherited properties are also listed. Can't get video conversation to work

Hey, I'm still trying to switch from Windows to Mac.
I set up two AIM accounts and logged in on a PC and a Mac respectively.
But whatever I do, the video conversation icon just won't light up.
Does anyone have any clue?

How can I get docs to fill more of the screen? Where is the "full screen" icon? FindHow said moving the mouse to the top will reveal the tools, but it doesn't. Etc.

Given what the OP wrote, he is running Lion (which doesn't display the tools palette when we use the Full Screen mode.)
In this system, there is a Full Screen icon in the right top of the window.
As I already wrote it is made of two small arrows inclided with 45°
The screenshot was made when working in standard mode.
To quit the Full Screen mode just hit Escape.

I've checked your account. I see that you just purchased the subscription this morning. The order is still pending processing, which is why you haven't yet been able to log in an use your subscription. It can take 24-48 hours for a subscription to process fully. Once it does, you'll be able to log in and convert files.

I lost an xcel doc a couple of days ago. Tried to find the Library folder in Users but not there when I use Finder (even when I do shift-command-G). But when trying to upload a photo in iphoto I found the library folder in Users. I can see my doc in Office 2011 Autorecovery, but can't access it! How do I get User to show Library then I can get to my long lost document?

The auto recovery dat should be in the Microsoft User Data folder in your documents folder, not in the Library. However, I Haven't had to look recently.

The Adobe Reader conversion ability to Word (.docx files) will not work. How can I get my money back?

I signed up and paid for the service that Adobe Reader advertizes that says it can convert PDF files to Word (.docx) files. I tried it immediately after purchasing it and it did not work. What it did was it converted it to a .docx file but the content was in the form of a picture and therefore uneditable. This does me no good. Basically, it took a screen shot of the PDF and then inserted it as a picture into a word file. I wouldn't call that conversion. I would like my money back. How can I get my money refunded to me?

If the original PDF was an image, you need to perform OCR (text recognition) during the conversion.

I would ask in the ExportPDF forum, Adobe ExportPDF (read only) (assuming that's the service to which you have subscribed). This is the Reader one.

My netbook came with MS Works, it's useless. I've downloaded Open Office, but every time I try to open a document (usually .doc files) it opens automatically as a Works wps file. I can't get it to change! Do I just have to uninstall Works?

Just as above, Works makes documents crazy (eg someone sends me a .doc file by email, I go to open it and it automatically opens as a .wps and I can't get it to stop!) and no-one else can open .wps documents. I know this may not actually be specifically a Firefox issue but have tried a few things on netbook settings etc and am getting nowhere fast.
Any advice much appreciated x

After I exported a PDF to a Word doc and downloaded it, I can't get the pointer tool to work. When I click on the document text, the only tool is the "move" tool. I can't edit or select text. Please advise.

Version of Adobe: Adobe ExportPDF (not Pro)
Operating system: Windows 8.1
Steps I am taking: When the PDF file is selected and opened, I clicked on Tools menu on right side of the screen; then I clicked on Select PDF file; then under Convert To, I selected Microsoft Word (*.docx); then I hit the box below that; and clicked Convert. I then see the message that says it is Converting to Export PDF Online. Then I see a link below that, that says Download Converted File. This takes me online to Adobe Acrobat .com, where, I see the command, Export PDF, and see a blue box on the same screen that says Select PDF Files to Export. I click on the thumbnail of the file I want to export. This brings up, online, a screen containing the file I wanted to convert to Word. Then, on the same screen, I click on the icon on the right hand of the screen that says Download. then I click on the box on the bottom the screen that contains the Word document I had wanted to convert. This brings up the Word doc. in Compatibility Mode the latest Word version, which I am unfamiliar with and which has a Picture Tools tab that I cannot escape from and I cannot get any selection tool other that the Move pointer, and I cannot find the Select text pointer to select any text on the page. I don't want this Word version and do not know how to return to the old version of Word that I am familiar with.

HELP, Plz- Yahoo vs Outlook -how can I get pdf docs to email thru Yahoo?

When I scan document into computer thru adobe (whatever version they just automatically loaded), I have two problems
1) I can only get them to be emailed thru Outlook which I don't have and can't seem to cut & paste into Yahoo ... any suggestions, even in how I'm trying to do this. Scanner is from 3-in-1 HP 8500A (if that helps) I at least got most of the printer's capabilities to work on my own.
2) When I use Tool and convert pdf to some type of Word doc (doc/docx) - and then click on 'save' - I have no idea where they've been stored; I don't think I get any kind of choice.
Anyone want to be a 'good-guys' attorneys advisor on little things -- good karma? I work pro bono w/no staff help - even clean the office myself. And despite, from the above clear indication of my astute comprehension of all things 'tech', I sometimes have what are probably simple (what a great secretary would already know --secretaries/legal assistants really run the show while the lawyer (or office cleaner) can just sound good. PLZ just some help w/above questions... ?

Not sure how this used to work on your iPod Touch since there is no setting for an email account preferences to not save sent messages. With an IMAP account, there is an option to store sent messages on the server, or locally on the iPhone. There is no do not save sent messages setting, and the same for the email account preferences with a POP account.

Can't get Send Video Message under conversation tab to be black

Put in new contact and when I try to video call can't get thru...I see under the conversation tabb that Send Video Message is greyed out. How do I get it to black to be able to send a message?

It seems to be an ongoing issue the last couple of days..there's a few posts already discussing it in the forum. I found that if I sent the photos from my verizon acct on the iphone, it uploaded to the gallery fine..so it's a .mac account problem i think. Try it through another acct and I don't think you'll have a problem. It had always worked fine for me sending from my mac account until this weekend.
