Can't get Exchange mail. Please Assist.

When I log on via safari or via my computer at home, I enter.
ahrc.org/exchange
this then goes turns into
https://xbcms002.ahrc.org/exchweb/bin/auth/owalogon.asp?url=https://xbcms002.ahr c.org/exchange&reason=0
which I believe turns into xbcms002.ahrc.org/exchange
I log in
I use this username nahrc\myname
and password and all works great. However, I can get this to work on the Iphone 3gs iphone 3.0
I don't know what to put into
The username= nahrc\myname
what should I use for the domain? ahrc.org or ahrc.org/exchange or xbcms002.ahrc.org
nothing seemed to work.

I had the head of IT attempt to get my iphone to sync with exchange Server 2003. They said that the server has sp2 or greater and I not sure if they are just given up or it doesn't seem possible. Here was my reply from the IT department.

We have applied the research that you mentioned. We also have research information as listed below. Our research is showing that we would have to place another Exchange Server in the mix and make much more significant changes to our Exchange setup to meet your need. That would be cost prohibitive based on 1 user. At this point we will suspend this project.

I've had no trouble getting the office mail with exchange setup since i bought my phone, until last week when because of issues at the office, the network admin upped the security status. i'm no windows network guy, but i do know he switched exchange mail to an https:// address. told us to delete and reinstall the account. i put in the IP address for the server that he gave us, and the usual account info. during setup it said something about certificate not recognized and per the instructions i saw someplace i just ignored that, and it said everything was fine. but since then i can't either send or receive mail. anyone else have this kind of experience, and have a solution? especially since i'm buried under so much snow i can't get to the office, this is driving me nuts. any suggestions greatly appreciated!

If your OS is Linux you can update Firefox using the Package Manager / Software Center. After opening the Manager type '''firefox''' in the search area, tick '''firefox''' in the results and apply. You may also be asked to accept additional new dependencies.

Apple has a built-in method for setting up Gmail accounts that makes sure that they are set up properly.
Go to System Preferences under the Apple menu and select Mail, Contacts & Calendars. In the left-hand sidebar select the Add Account… item. In the main window select Gmail. Enter the information in the drop down sheet.

I can't get my mail app or mail settings to open. When I tap the mail icon it crashes. When I go to setting and tap the "mail, contact..." settings, that to crashes. I have turned my iPad off and back on several times and it doesn't seem to do anything. Id prefer not to restore because i ALWAYS lose info in my apps. Does anyone have any ideas? any ideas?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Jailbreaking violates the Apple warranty and licensing agreement and voids ALL support from Apple. No one on here can help you as doing so is a violation of the Terms of Use of these Communities. If you send the iPad to Apple they will just send it back to you as they are not permitted to work on a machine that has been jailbroken.

If you are referring to the original system reinstall discs that shipped with every Mac before Lion came out you'll need to contact Apple with the serial # of your Mac and order a replacement set of them.
Or look on one of the Auction websites or places like iFixit.com for a replacement set.
If your Mac came new with any of the Download Only versions of OS X, Lion, Mt Lion or Mavericks you don't need any discs to reinstall OS X. You use the Online Internet Recovery system or the built in Recovery HD partition inb the internal hard drive.
For the built in Recovery HD hold down the Command + r keys at startup. For the Online system hold down the Command + Option/Alt + r keys and keep them held down until you see a globe on the screen.

The odd thing is that my colleague and me use the same release mountain lion and we received the same email from someone on Outlook2007. He received the mail with the attachment, whilst I saw a "Winmail.dat". It already happened to me on snow-leopard, some month ago. Up til today I don't know what the difference between our machines is.
But it is interesting: the same OS, the same mail-clients (Apple Mail) and still different results.
Note: on my machine it used to work properly. It just suddenly happened that I started to receive winmail.dat files in stead of proper attachments.
When I have more time on hand, I cant try to find out why this happens.

You need a mail server that supports this then. Hotmail premium I believe does, but the free version does not. Gmail supports it, and any ISP that offers IMAP supports this capability. iCloud definitely supports it, so if you create a free iCloud email account and switch your primary email to it you would have this capability.

Did you really delete it intentionally or accidentally? If you accidentally deleted the application from the Applications folder, look if it is still in the Trash and put it back or restore it from your backup.
If you deleted it intentionally and deinstalled it, you need to reinstall it - depending on how it was installed originally, see Terence Devlin's answer here:

I can't get my mail to open. I shut down mail and now it won't open. This is my 1st Mac and I'm not exactly sure what I have done.

Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when you try to open Mail.

Can't get Exchange mail. Please Assist.
