Can't get exchange server to work

I recently got a new job and have been trying to set up my mail with the exchange acct. The guy sitting next to me has an iphone as well and connected to it no problem. I entered the same information and get the message, "exchange account verification failed." Checked with IT and both of our settings are the same. Anybody have an idea what is going on?

I had to re-establish my iPhone with our Exchange Server, and it was taking forever to connect, and got server errors (according to the message).
The trick that got it moving was to initially just put in an "@" as the email address. Use the correct server name, domain, username and password, but just @ as the email address. You can update this later.
Hopefully, this will do it for you. I have no idea why, but our I.T. people use this approach.

  • Can't get Lion Server to work

    Hi
As written above. I can't get Lion server to work.
I have succesfully installed the program, and turn on some of the services. Then I have bought a domain, to connect to my server. But if I try to connect to my IP, from another computer, it doesn't connect. I have tried to "port forwarding" port 80 on my router, and given my Mac a static IP. I have checked with a "Check port opener" if the port 80 was in reach, it was.
So my question is, what is the next I can do to make it work. First with the IP and then with my domain?

Yes, SMTP used to work but stopped after new cert applied. IMAP works fine. Removed SSL and still doesn't work (although should it be restarted or is save for changes okay).

  • Can't get exchange account to work on iphone

have iphone 3g with 3.0 update am trying to set up my exchange account - put in all the settings and get back response that my password is wrong but it isn't I have deleted and reentered and used numerous settings all of which should conceivably work. I enter email address, username, password , etc but when choosing done i get message "can't communicate with server" - mail works fine thru outlook. just won't come thru to phone. any ideas would be helpful

    Hi there,
so is the certificate on the server self-generated or from a 'trusted' source?
Depending on that, you will need to have the private key, or key and root certificate (if self-generated and not 'trusted') on your phone.
There seems to be an issue with properly 'attaching' it to Exchange use in OS 3.0 when emailing right now - I would download the iphone util 2.0 and create the profile, making sure you attach the client certificate.
Make sure the certificate is embedded as a credential in the Exchange account and not just simply in the same profile. The attached profile does not have a certificate as an account credential.
    Best,
    Dan

Full name: SysAdmin (should this be the Verizon user name instead?)
Yes. This is all verizon information.
User name: appeared on the form for me, it is the same as my email alias
Password: I used my Verizon account password
    Correct.
Incoming mail server is incoming.yahoo.verizon.net and outgoing server is outgoing.yahoo.verizon.net. I changed the 110 port to 25, and turned off SSL.
Why did you change that port? Incoming is 110, outgoing is 25.
Every time I try to send or receive mail, I get a pop-up box asking for a password. I give it my Verizon password, then mail fails. If anyone has experience with Verizon email, please tell me what I am doing wrong. I have been trying to get the email to work for several hours now.
Check the Verizon site for examples. They will have more than webmail. You don't have to look for anything specific to Apple Mail. There will be settings for Outlook, just use those.

  • Can't get ichat server to work on 10.5.8

I setup ichat such that it uses SSL with a self-signed cert and kerberos authentication. From the client side, a client can connect to the server with ichat using Kerberos v5 for Auth and SSL selected, and is prompted that *"iChat can't verify the identy of "servername". An SSL error has occurred..."*
So I tell it to always trust the certificate and enter in my password.. and.. I'm greeted by the same prompt again. Over and over again. What's the dealio?
Adium can connect fine once the Cert is trusted. iChat on the other hand, refuses to.

If this station or others never had a problem before then go to the keychain and delete the keychain for ichat that deals with the server and try again.

  • Can't get App Server to work

Hi! I am beginning to use Studio Creator and I am following the Get Started Tutorial. When I try to Run the example I get the error "Can't initialize Sun Java System Application Server 8.2"
    Any comments/suggestions are welcome.
    Thanks!

You may try to start the App Server independently to see if it works:
    1. click on the "Severs" Tab
    2. Right click on the "Deployment Sever", and on the context menu, click "Start/Stop Server"
    3. on the pop up dialog, click "Start Server"
    4. if there is a problem:
look the server log file for more infos, which is located as follows:
    $Creator_Dir\SunAppServer8\domains\creator\logs\server.log
    Hope this helps

Can anyone help me with this?

The standard arch kernel includes all the required modules, at most you need to load them explicitly listing them in MODULES in /etc/rc.conf
You need also the hw specific stuff, that is i915 and intelagp. Check lsmod and see if they are loaded. If they are not, inspect dmesg and see if udev tries to load them and fails for some reason.
I remember some cases where intelagp and i915 are not loaded by udev in the right order, if this is your case you can try to list them in the right order in MODULES.
There should be no need to recompile the kernel or to install a particular version of dri (just use the arch packages for mesa, libdrm etc; but I guess you have them already)

  • I updated my iphone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 and now my e-mails say, "This message has not been downloaded from the server".  We have an Exchange server at work.  ??

I updated my iphone 4S with iOS 6.1.3 and now I cannot retreive or send my e-mails.  We have an Exchange server at work.  I still receive the e-mails on all my devices just fine and I can see the subject headings & a small portion of the body of the e-mail, but when I open the e-mails there is no body and it reads, "This message has not been downloaded from the server".  Very aggrevating and is not helping my business at ALL!!  Same has happened with both iPads we own now.

Delete then add back the exchange acct on each device.

    127.0.0.1 realestate
In Apache, I've created a virtual server that uses the
realestate server name. But I can't get the Report Builder to
connect to it at all. When I run the wizard, I try to install an
RDS server. I've used 127.0.0.1 for the host name as well as
realestate and I've set the port to 80. I can't get port 8500 to
work at all. I set my ColdFusion root location to fall under
Apache's htdocs. Should I have left it under C:\CFMX7 ? How would I
    change the location?

Please review the "stickied" threads near the top of this board, about syncing with Windows 7 and Vista.  It's all there.
After you've been through and tried everything there is to try, and still have problems, please post back with specific info about exactly what you've tried, what version of Windows 7 you have (32-bit or 64-bit), etc.

  • HT5470 I can't get the radio to work on my Ipod Nano 7.

I can't get the radio to work on Ipod nano 7.  When I go to the radio screen the following happens 1) the radio screen appears in the backgound with a small rotating icon at its center for few seconds, 2) the screen go blank and small apple icon appears at the center of the blank screen for few seconds, and 3) the home screen reappears. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply.  It turns out my ipod nano was defective.  For some reason it rebooted every time the radio button was pressed.  I tried a software restore and that failed.  Since the unit was just a few days old I was able to exchange it at the retailer.  The FM radio on the new unit works great.

  • Can't get my wired internet working

As the topic sujests, I can't get my wired ethernet working.
    I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.2, I have a Linksys WRT54G router
    configured to automatic DHCP.
I go into my iMac's System Preferences > Network > Ethernet.
I should be able to select DHCP from the configure menu and the router
should give me my IP address. I went into the router's settings and put my computers MAC address in, and it has assigned my iMac an IP. But on the iMac,
    it doesn't come up.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    I tried that.
The way I got it to work is: I set the "configure" to manually. Then I entered the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Router, DNS Server, and Search Domains. And now it works. Thanks for your suggestion though.

    Hi Sister Kate,
If you change the Apple ID you are using on an iPhone or other iOS device, there are several places you need to change it on the device. See this article -

Will not work.  To my knowledge, dual converting like that isn't supported.  The Mac must detect the connected video output device and that sort of info cannot be done across an analog component uni-directional connection.
