Can't get icloud calendar content on Mac

I signed out of icloud. Had to delete local icloud content to do so.
Signed back in to icloud on my Mac and expected the content to download.
All seems fine except Calendar. I have no calendars or events from icloud.  When I log into icloud.com all my calendar content is still there (whew!).
I have tried rebooting.
Yes, I have check marked Calendar in the icloud settings.
Also, and maybe related (??), I can't get my keychain back either.  It says it sent a request for approval to my other devices but nothing has shown up on my iphone.
Thanks for any tips.

Try signing out of the account in System Preferences again, choosing Delete at all of the promptes, then restart your Mac and sign in again.

  • Can't get iCloud calendar to sync with ical, iPhone, iPad

I'm stumped. I have a calendar which I use (Google) that syncs with my iPad and iPhone but will not sync with my iCloud calendar. Is there a problem doing this? My iCal calendar (on my Macbook) will sync with the mobiles but not with the iCloud calendar online.

Mine is similar, I've managed to sync contacts but no calendar, it says that I don't have an account on outlook. When actually there is.

  • Can't get iCloud to work on Mac, but seems ok on iPad

I set up iCloud on my Mac and iPad.  On my iMac I checked off mail, contacts, calendar, bookmarks and find my mac.  When I click on "manage",  It shows Backups and Mail on the left but Mail says 0kb.  Backups show my last iPad back up but no iMac backups.  What could I be doing wrong?  I have updated everything to the latest software. I set up the iPad first, could that have caused a problem?
    Thanks!

    Shouldn't make any difference.

i can't get icloud to sync my ipad notepad to my mac. it works fine for email and calendar?I have clicked the notepad setting on my iPad to ON.

On the iPad tap Settings > iCloud. Switch Calendars off then back on then reset the iPad.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
On the iMac, open System Preferences > iCloud. Deselect the box next to Calendars then reselect that box then restart your iMac.

my iphone has calendar history for 10 years.  my icloud only shows about 6-8 weeks back.  how can i get icloud to show all the calendar events in the past that are on iphone?

I encountered a similar problem when finally (and with much regret) I was obliged to migrate my MobileMe to iCloud last month.
Many years of iCal history vanished without trace during this automated transition by Apple and iCloud then kindly synched the resulting vacuum back to iCal on my Mac.
Fortunately, iCloud wasn’t able to decimate iCal on my other Macs because (1) they are still running Snow and (2) I had switched them off as a precaution.  Good job I did.
My solution was to export my iCal data on one of those other Macs to a backup file – then I imported that backup file into my Lion-updated Mac’s iCal. That restored all the iCloud-deleted iCal data back on to my Mac and this was promptly synched automatically to my Calendar on iCloud.  So now it’s all there and showing.
Perhaps you could do something similar?  In the meantime, be very careful not to let iCloud’s amnesia get synched to your iPhone (and other devices).
Experience has taught me never to trust an “upgrade” until it is proven to be working correctly and always to keep in reserve another Mac with a properly-functioning system and all synching to it switched off...

  • I am running OS X 10.5.8 and don't see an iCloud icon in my system preferences.  I do see a Mobileme icon but I would like to have all my mac devices on iCloud.  How can I get iCloud on my desktop?

I am running OS X 10.5.8 and don't see an iCloud icon in my system preferences.  I do see a Mobileme icon but I would like to have all my mac devices on iCloud.  How can I get iCloud on my desktop?

iCloud requires 10.7.2 or later. See the following about how to upgrade:
Upgrade Paths to Snow Leopard, Lion, and/or Mountain Lion
You can upgrade to Mountain Lion from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Mountain Lion can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for $19.99. To access the App Store you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or later installed.
    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mountain Lion, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.
    Upgrading to Mountain Lion
To upgrade to Mountain Lion you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Purchase and download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Mountain Lion is $19.99 plus tax. The file is quite large, over 4 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
OS X Mountain Lion - System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) - Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
For a complete How-To introduction from Apple see Upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion.

  • How can you get a calendar back after deleting it

How can you get a calendar back after deleting it

You will have to restore the device from a backup on icloud.  (this assumes you have backups turned on in settings>icloud)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase your device.  Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

how can i get icloud on the laptop

Your laptop must be running a minimum of Lion 10.7.2 - Mountain Lion preferred. Earlier systems cannot access iCloud.
If you have a suitable system the procedure is to sign in with your Apple ID in System Preferences>iCloud. You will see a checklist including Mail, Calendars and other types of data: check the ones you want to sync to iCloud (note that Calendars and contacts will be actually moved to iCloud and read from there by your Mac and other devices).

  • How can i get icloud to synch between outlook on my pc and my iphone 5?

I have loaded icloud on my PC and it's on my i5 phone.  However, I can't get my calendar and contacts to synch between my PC and phone.  Any suggestions?

Make sure to go into your icloud panel on your PC (in control panel) and on your phone (settings) and check everything you want to synch.  Curious to know if this works for you as mine was working perfectly until last week.

  • How can I move a calendar from my mac to the i Cloud

how can I move a calendar from my mac to the i Cloud.  It is an existing calendar that I publish for others to view.  It does not update through the cloud since it is not curently on the cloud.  I cannot figure out how to move it on to the cloud.

Your signature says you have Leopard 10.5.8 - is this correct? (If it isn't please amend it). Leopard cannot access iCloud: Lion 10.7.2 is required. Have you actually opened an iCloud account (or migrated from MobileMe)?
if you do have Lion and have joined iCloud then your calendars should have been migrated to iCloud automatically. If this hasn't happened then the method for moving them is described in the first set of numbered instructions on this page - I emphasize that this is only possible on Lion.

  • Can't get iphone calendar entries to appear in ical

I can't get iphone calendar entries to appear in ical. Also, my iphone has hung up on sycning calendars several times. Even the couple of times it has gone through it, nothing I enter on the iPhone goes into ical.
    Imac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)
    iPhone *   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

Mine also seems to be syncing iCal info o.k. from my phone. Tried it again today with several calendar entries and all showed up perfectly in iCal.
I have also been using the calendarcreator service for a while on my MBP and this shows up on the info pane for my iPhone and allows me to select it to sync with. I believe this is how my iPhone info is getting into iCal but I will confirm this again tonight.
