Can't get IDE 2 to work

I guy I can't for the life of me get IDE 2 to work. I had a DVD-rom and DVD Burner connected to IDE 1 when I move them to IDE 2 they are not dectected. I have been able to get Harddrives detected on IDE 1 but again when I move them to IDE 2 nothing.
Is there something I am doing wrong.
I am sure it is something simple but I can seem to figure it out.
I appreciate any help you can provide.

The latest Apple driver support begins with the MP 171.
Here is Ricoh's official driver download page specifically for the Afico MP 161. Note that new drivers for this device were released on Aug 2, and include Lion and Mountain Lion.

Apple have not announced any such plans. It was the same during the whole MobileMe period from 2008 - 2012, so it doesn't seem to be a high priority issue for Apple.

And, you are sure you have provided the correct username and password for you email account? I'm not familiar with Virgin media, so you might contact their tech support to find out why you are having a problem sending mail but none receiving mail. I assume your mail account has always been POP3 and not IMAP. Typically, the outgoing mail servers are not the same for the different types of account service.

WVC11B can't get it to work

I have an WVC11B camera and it used to work fine. I stored it for a while and tried to use it again; however, I can not get it to work again.
This lights turn on (never blink) when connected and I've tried several times to reset the device to no avail. I can not even see the device on my DHCP list??
Any ideas? Is there a shop that may repair this unit?

So in Disk Utility, with the external harddrive selected, go to the Partition tab, and then under "Partition Layout:" select 1 Partition.
After than, verify that it is formatting the drive as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled) under "Partition Information"
Also verify that it's using using the GUID Partition Map under the Options button at the lower left of this window.
Then click apply and confirm that you want to format the drive. It will ask you if you're sure, and probably for an Administrator password.
Once your harddrive is formatted properly, you should be able to use Time Machine, or any other Mac backup software.

Can't get iDVD6 to work

I have Ilife08 installed on my machine and they work. I'm using imovie 6 but I can't get idvd 6 to work. I find idvd 7 takes longer and the icons are blurred. I would prefer to use idvd 6 but it will not boot. Even idvd 5 will not boot. Any ideas on how to get idvd 6 to work again.

Re: Can't get Mic to work? I'm using the Steelseries Siberias headset, with a standalone Zalman mic. I never unplugged them, I only reformatted from a cracked verion of Windows 7, to a legit version of Windows 7. The versions were actually the exact same, and now I regreat Formatting.

I've just gottren really frusterated. I'm about ready to go back down to XP just to get this to work, I use my microphone for so many different things.
I've searched this problem, it seems there are numerous people with the same problems, and I just find that sad, I've been using creative products for a long time now, and have never had a problem like this before.

Can't Get Crossfade to Work

I've been using iTunes for several years, but lately I cannot get the Crossfade to activate.
I've tried changing it, restarting the app, rebooting, even deleting the iTunes preference file. Nothing works.
Every song goes right until the last second before moving on to the next song. I would like maximum crossfade, the 12 seconds. But I can't get it to work.
Any ideas?

My mistake. Converting to Apple Lossless works. Just remember that iTunes creates copies of the originals in the library rather than "converting" the selected files. Import these coverted files into your playlist and it will work.

I think the problem could be the kernel module.

Can't get Airprint to work on my new Brother HL-3170CDW. I have an iPhone and iPad and nThe printer documentation says it's Airprint ready, but I don't know how to get it working. All 3 MacBooks in our home can connect to it via the network, so I know the printer is set up correctly for that purpose.
Any ideas?

After installing IOS 5 can't get mail to work...

I have been having trouble installing IOS 5 on my Ipad and part of the problem may have been with my home computer... In any event, I finally was able to get it on but the result is a bit discouraging. All my apps are there, but I lost everything on them... not that there was much... but my main concern is that I can't get Mail to work... I go in settings and when I click on mail... it just goes back to the page with all the icons... I have tried reinitializing and all... but nothing works... Any idea what is the issue and how to fix it ?

First try rebooting your iPad. Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for at least 10 seconds (ignore the red slider to shut down) until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart. If that does not help, you may need to restore your iPad in iTunes. You can restore from a backup (assuming you have a backup to restore from).

I can't get Lion to work with label printers, either Brother QL 570 or Dymo Turbo 450. I want to uninstall Lion and use Snow Leopard unless there is a way to make Lion work with these devices. Any ideas?

Dymo has released new drivers since Lion came out. Have you downloaded and
installed them from the Dymo website?
Some people have said that their Dymo label printers were set to off line by Lion, but
worked fine after going to Print & Scan, selecting the Dymo printer, and making sure
it was active/on-line. I had to do that with my Dymo 450 Label Writer.
I cannot offer any tips about Brother, but you may wish to check their website
for latest drivers.

I can not get reader to work on xp.

I have installed the 9 on Reader and can not get it to work. I installed Fixit to see and it does not work either. Is there a place on XP that needs to be checked or opened. This started after the the computer was attacked by virus and they got into the registry. Had this repaired and this is what makes me think something is not opened for readers to work. Any ideas out there.

Sounds like your sytem didn't get repaired. I would take it back to the tech that worked on it.
In the meantime, you haven't mentioned what happens when you try and get it to work so we have no syptoms to go on to help you. Plus, what is fixit?
There is no place on XP that you need to do anything special to get Reader to work so again, sounds like your system is still hosed.

I can't get mail to work behind proxies

I am trying to get to my exchange mail to work behind another company's proxies.
I proxies set-up in system Prefernces/Wi-fi.
Outlook connects fine as there are some preferences for entering your proxy settings. Mail states that I have the passpord incorrect (wich I dont).
I am no proxy expert, but sounds like mail isn't using them.

It might - thanks. I should add, though, that I can't get safari to work on the iPod, either. So it could be something to do with the wireless. The iPod touch is supposed to have wireless capabilities - honestly, it wouldn't matter much to my parents if it didn't; they never touch email, but I would love to be able to mail them!
Those steps at the link are pretty much what I've been doing. I'll try again when I have a stronger wireless connection. Then I'll let you know what happens.

The number of pictures/videos on the device is irrelevant. If there is not available space on the device, there is no way to take pictures. Pictures, videos, music, iBooks, and any other media share the same space.
Might be a good idea to manage the content on the device going forward so that there is always space available.
Try not to fall into the misconception that many others experience, believing that the iPhone is a storage device, it simply is not. Instead it is intended to be a mirror of the content on the computer.
