Can't get iMessage to activate after resetting my Apple ID password.

After having trouble signing into iMessage on Mountain Lion on my Mac Mini, it was suggested to reset my Apple ID password. After doing that, I re-entered my password everywhere on my iPhone. But now, my iMessage and Facetime on the phone won't activate. It stays on "Waiting for Activation" for about half a day and then says that activation was not successful.
I went through all the other related threads, and check Settings > Phone to make sure my number is showing, I fiddled with the Date and Time settings. I even updated to iOS 6.0.1. Nothing seems to work, and I genuinely don't want to reset my phone. Is there any way to resolve this issue?

I deactivated iMessage on my mac completely and retried and still have the same problem. I then decided to place the phone in DFU mode and restore iOS 6.0.1 from the IPSW. After restoring from iCloud, iMessage is still stuck on "Waiting for Activation"
I did find something interesting though. I opened Xcode > Organizer and viewed the phone's console. When switching iMessage on, the following is displayed in the log:
accountsd[103] <Notice>: 2012-12-04 00:26:14.404 accountsd[4871]: imagent (43) is trying to verify account credentials for account: (null)

My husband not realizing he was going to wipe my phone decided to play around with the find my iPhone app. Of course it reset and I lost everything. I restored from a backup and cannot get iMessage to activate. I just keep getting a message awaiting activation. So i cant seem to get iMessage to work across all my Apple devices. My wife and I use the same Apple ID but have different phone numbers. Is there a way to get all our messages on our shared devices and our personal messages on our phones? (iPad, iMac, MacBook Pro: Shared)

I have this set up with one Mac and two iPhones (Not Multiple Macs)
I added the Apple ID to the Mac for iMessages.
I then added the Apple ID to the first iPhone.
I accepted the pop ups on the Mac so that the iPhone was Listed in Receive At (you might have to Restart the App on the Mac to trigger this).
I then added the Apple ID to the Second iPhone and again accepted the pop ups in the Mac.
IF this is what you think you did but it is not working remove the Apple ID from both iPhones
Place the iPhones in Airplane mode fro a few minutes to Break with the server.
when back in normal mode and in Settings > Messages check the iPhone number is ticked and active.
(Send a Test message to the Apple ID (Mac) to check)
Add back the Apple ID if the test works.
Restart the Mac version to trigger the pop ups and Accept.
Repeat the set up with tests for send iPhone.
I have never set this up with one ID on two or more computers but it should work.

I forget my apple id password and security questions, so i reset my apple id but i didnt receive any email in yahoo. apple support didnt help me, thay said you must forget your iphone.please help me.

I bought Microsoft Office for Mac at an Apple store on February 2nd, and didn't think to use my student discount. Can I go back now and get a partial refund for it because I'm student? My receipt says that the return date is February 16th.

Is there an iPhone involved ?
If not, what happens if you remove the Apple ID on the iPad and then set it in Airplane Mode (allow a couple of minutes at this point) followed by re-adding the Apple ID ?
What, if any error messages are appearing on the Mac when you try to launch the App or Login to the iMessages server ?
Is the Apple ID linked to an iCloud account ?
In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) this did not seem to be important but it seems it is in Mavericks/Messages 8

Can't get iMessage, totally deleted everything on iPad mini and then started from scratch but still can't get iMessage

On iPad mini, and year ago my iMessage stopped working ! Took it to the store n they reset everything on it! Still couldn't get iMessage to work.
Just decided to leave it because thought I can deal with email n Skype.... Now I need iMessage so just deleted everything n re booted iPad!. Reset everything. Still can't get iMessage and iCloud!!! I'm not too bad cuz I can sync with hubby's iMac. But know I won't have iMessage.

Ever since I updated to iOS 5 I've had this problem with iMessage as well as Facetime, I can't get it to activate. I've tried rebooting the phone, logging off my account, reseting network settings and It wont activate at all ..
Is anyone else having an issue with this right now?

1) Turn off WiFi
2) Turn on Cellular Data
3) Turn off iMessage
4) Turn phone off
5) Turn phone on
6) Turn iMessage on
7) Test iMessages
8) Turn WiFi on.
If you do it in that order and allow it to activate over 3G, it works without fail. I have done this twice to make sure and it works and doesn't work when done over 3G and WiFi respectively. Once it has been activated, it works perfectly on both.

I get blank pages that just run through the printer and a stats window that just 33% complete and goes no further.

I am going on the guess that an old driver is still installed...
Use Finder Go > go to folder, and go to /Library/Printers and delete the HP folder(s).

I just got a new itouch 4 and i can't get imessage and facetime to work on my home wifi network (Airport Express). I can't explain it. The itouch works fine otherwise uncluding the internet. Facetime and imessage work at the apple store so there must be something wrong with my home network. Please help if you can!

I changed the DNS to 8.8.8.8 as you suggested with no success, I even tried 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 as suggested by others with no success either. When I try and activate iMessage or Facetime, I still get the same message "could not sign in, please check your network connection". The internet and Mail work perfectly fine on the iPod touch so the WiFi signal IS going through. I am at a loss, any other suggestions would be more than welcome. Thanks!

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings. This will erase your device. Then you will go through the setup screens again as you did when your device was new, and when given the option, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

I can't see that link you posted - as it appears to be a direct message. Try posting a screenshot.
If you want help on these forums from people, sharing more information might also help. When you say that you can't get it to activate, what do you mean? What steps are you taking? What is happening in response to those steps? Are you getting error messages? If so, what is the text of those messages?
I mean, I don't have a copy of CS3 laying around the office to follow along (I mean, that's five versions ago!), but it's possible that some others here might. (I might actually have it at home though, now that I think about it. When I get home tonight, If I remember, I might give it a go)
I assume you've already gone through these steps from the Activation & Deactivation Help page:
Make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet.
Start the application.
Choose Help > Activate. (If this option is dimmed, you've activated your software)
Log in with your Adobe ID (usually your email address) to activate your software. If you don’t have an Adobe ID, you see an option to create one.
Optional (CS5 & earlier): After you activate, also register your Adobe product for faster and easier access to support and upgrades.
